I hate to give bad reviews, but the tacos and quesadillas were the worst we've ever had!!!!! The birria tacos were bland, flavorless and NOT EVEN warm. The rice and beans that came with the tacos were equally flavorless, cold, and dried. Holy cow! I thought my tacos were awful, but the vegetarian quesadillas were even worst. How is that possible???!!!! They advertised that the vegetarian quesadillas had grilled vegetables! There were NO grilled vegetables. Ordered from DoorDash with a special promo. And I was craving some tacos. This is by far, my favorite tacos on delivery! I ordered Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Carnitas, Campechano, and Chorizo tacos. Each taco was $3!? I had to try as many as possible! Each taco topped with cilantro, onion and a side of lime. The Carne Asada had to be my favorite. The Al Pastor didn't have any minced pineapple. Campechano had a nice spice to it. Chorizo must have been cooked last because it was still steaming hot! I absolutely love these tacos, especially for delivery this was such a great price point value! I'll have to try their other ones which are Pollo, and Pescado (they also have Cameron but I am allergic). Definitely give this taco truck a try! read more

This is one of my favorite taco trucks near my hood! The tacos and SALSA are amazing! and the prices are fair! I loved their green (spicy) salsa...the salsa bar had several different salsa and condiments for you to dress your food with whatever toppings you like from lemon, salsa (mild, medium, spicy), orange sauce (mayo base), radish, pickled veggies (onion, jalapeno, carrots)..yummm yumm!!!! They also have lots of variety of "meat" to choose from and even vegetarian options. There are a couple of tables with plastic chairs to sit down if you decide to eat there... it's a totally hole in the wall located in Target parking lot along California Street. They average around $3 each and they also serve quesadillas and nachos etc. I wanted to try the grilled shrimp taco, but they were out of shrimp (in their defense, it was after 9 pm). I had 2 carne asada tacos and one chicken taco and they were tasty, flavorful, and right off the grill. Everyone in my office speaks so highly of this taco truck, so today I just had to try it! This truck is located in the Target parking lot toward Latham and pleaseeee note that they are not here every day. I've had coworkers walk over seeking tacos, only to be disappointed that they weren't there haha. I ordered a burrito bowl with carne asada and all of the fixings for $10 (+tax if you use card. yes, they do take card! :D) and my coworker got 3 tacos for less than $8. Our food came out in a timely manner and while we were waiting, they gave us little containers to put salsa / lime / cucumbers in. It was a hearty meal - we both inhaled our food and although I wasn't able to finish my whole bowl due to the large serving size, they were still good as leftovers. :') I'll def be coming back! I mean, if this were the only taco food truck by by apartment, then maybe I wouldn't be so critical but when there are not only other taco food trucks but plenty of other Mexican places in general in Mountain View, my standards are going to be quite higher. I honestly feel that this truck is more catered to those that like American-Mexican food more than authentic Mexican food. Their popular dishes include burritos as well as fried cheese tacos, which I don't see too much at authentic Mexican places. They do have tacos but I don't see people getting them as much as the other items on the menu. I came here a couple of times and got the fish burrito, the fried cheese taco, and then a couple of regular street tacos. Honestly, the meat, whether it was fish, chicken, or beef, completely lacked flavor and was not tasty at all. The burrito as a whole was extremely plain and quite frankly one of the more lackluster burritos I have had at a Mexican eatery. The street tacos were decent but the fried cheese taco was not tasty at all. As expected, it was too much cheese and felt oily. There's just something about how they make their quesadilla that makes the salivary glands go. Perhaps it's the extra bits of cheese on the outside of the flour tortilla that's charred to perfection? What I am certain is the orange sauce - it is liquid gold. But that on anything and it'll add that magic to your food. It's a truck next to target and there is a good sized menu. This awesome food truck next to the Target and the wheel shop around San Antonio Shopping Center makes delicious tacos! I finally tried the food (after looking for this truck since the location is a little hidden away) and the tacos were delicious and so affordable. I had the regular al pastor taco and liked it a lot - small toasted tortilla with juicy and crispy meat, a little onion and cilantro. The green sauce was also so good and not too spicy. Altogether, the taco was so good and I look forward to trying all their other items like the other tacos and burritos. Despite it being a food truck, they have a seating area for customers to eat in their tent set up right next to the truck. This is truly such a convenient set up! Service is great! They try really hard to please their customers and insist on make the food again if you are not totally satisfied. That level of attention to customer satisfaction is hard to find even in a brick and mortar restaurant. Yee! This place is lit. I work in Palo Alto and have been disappointed in the lack of 1) affordable food and 2) good Mexican food. In the area, you'll have to go to a sit-down restaurant that's $$ for decent Mexican, but coming from Alum Rock/SJ it's pretty painful not to have a good taco spot on every block. I've only had their tacos, I can't help it!!! I can't speak for their other items, sorry. As of Feb 2019 tacos are $2.25 each, so a meal of 3 tacos will ring you a little under $7.50 after tax. Unfortunately, they don't take tip via card, so bring some cash! The workers are so sweet - they deserve the tip. I don't know many other cheap lunches or dinners in this area of Silicon Valley. They're doing a public service! Very authentic, very tasty. Sauce bar includes cucumbers, pickled onions, limes, avocado salsa, 2 other red salsas, and their own orange creamy salsa (yes, like La Vics! not sure if it's vegan/dairy free). Their Super Quesadilla is one of the best I have ever had! Value priced ($10.90 including tax), huge (finished 2 of 3 slices), and tasty (due to the avocado, cilantro, onions inside) with an extra crispy exterior. It's delicious on its own with the available sauces/salsas (combine the green and red ones!) serving to take it to the next level. I would never had known to give this truck a shot had it not been the fact that I was going to be at Target for 45 mins or so, and I was hungry. I guess people gathering there every time I saw it was not a big enough clue. That's on me! Oh, be sure to get there early. Bomb ass tacos! This is THE taco truck for yo tacos. I have been here many times and the quality and taste of their tacos do not disappoint. They are made fresh on the spot. The taco meats are always amazingly tender and juicy. The flavoring is perfect. The taste of the overall taco will overwhelm your senses. The soft tender meats. The soft chewy taco wrap. The spice from the salsas. The zest of the fresh, juicy limes. The crunch of the vegetables and pickled sides. You are in for a ride. How is this so wonderfully delicious? This is definitely one of the best tacos I've had. I've also tried their super quesadilla. Oh so delicious. The quesadilla is crunchy, yet also warm and fluffy. The meats are consistent with the quality of the meats in the tacos. They know what they are doing here! Don't come too early because they won't have many of the meats you request. I happened to stop by a little after they opened one time. For one of the meat fillings I ordered, they called me back to say, "We don't have that." I asked for another, and was responded, "No, we don't have that. Another one." I asked for another and was responded with, "No, not that either. Another one." I was pretty frustrated at that point and asked, "So, what DO you have?" He then listed three choices they had. Seriously, if you are going to not have that many of the filling selections, just list me the ones you do have, so I don't have to go down the list to have you say no to all the ones I choose. There is a table along the side of the truck and it holds little sides and condiments. I'm not sure why, but their sauces are not consistent, so sometimes they'll be amazingly spicy and other times they will not be. The The salsa bar includes limes, cucumbers, radish, jalapenos, onions, etc. They are not consistent with the items they out out, though. The vegetables are extremely fresh when they do have them. They set up a few tables and seats, so it's nice that there's some seating to enjoy the tacos. read more

One of the best taco trucks I've tried in the Bay Area. It all started with a great corn tortilla - full of flavor, nice and hot, and thick without being chewy. I tried three meats: pollo asado, carnitas, and carne asada. They were all tasty, but the carnitas really stood out with a great crispy texture and nice level of spice. I guess the Mountain View DMV's parking lot is the hot spot for food trucks. I was looking through my lunch bag at work, and forgetful me is left without anything to eat! My lunch was at home laughing at me! Then when I looked out from the office window, miraculously this food truck was in my sights. Before even heading out to the food truck I had to make sure I had cash on me. It would've been a double whammy for me. Cash in hand and a rumbling stomach, I sped walked to the food truck to calm my hunger pangs. When arriving at the food truck, it looked like they just got there and was preparing to open. There was no menu available, but there was an LCD TV attached to the truck that could possibly be the menu. Luckily for me I was craving a burrito. Without a menu available, I went for the most basic Mexican dish. A super carne asada burrito. The food prep took about 5 minutes. Once my order was ready, the friendly cashier present my order to me. I wanted to devour that burrito in the parking lot, but I was civil and brought it back to my office. The burrito was wrapped in aluminum foil and still hot. The condiments I took from the truck was a couple of small containers of spicy green chili sauce. After unwrapping my burrito, I took my first bite and savored it. While I was chewing, I noticed the meat was not carne asada. Don't worry, it was edible. Instead of carne asada, it was carnitas. I could have sworn that I said carne asada. Well, I had no complaints. The carnitas was tender and went well with the beans, Spanish rice, onions, sour cream, and cilantro. I'm pretty sure that the carne asada is equally as good as the carnitas. The burrito was enjoyable and thank goodness for this truck's arrival. Yum! I came by after work on a weekday, and the cart was deserted except for the cooks inside. The cart was by the car-fixing place, so I had to drive to look around a bit for it. There's a pitched tent with plastic tables and chairs underneath it, as well as a table of green salsa, red salsa, mild salsa, orange sauce, lemons, cucumbers, radishes, peppers, and pickled vegetables. There was also a box of plastic bags and a container of salt and black pepper on the table. A nice touch was hand sanitizer next to where you order. Anyway, onto the food. I ordered 3 tacos: carna asada, pollo, and pastor. The pastor came from the stick of meat they have there! There's a gigantic window where you can sort of see what's going on, but not really. I waited for maybe 3-5 minutes, and my food came out ready, piping hot. It was so hot I couldn't pick up the taco until a few minutes later. The tortilla was nice and thick, although it got pretty wet either from the meat or my salsas or my pickled vegetables. The meats were delicious though! The pastor was a bit dry, but the pollo and asada were great. I tried the green, mild, and orange salsas as well as the pickled vegetables, and they were all delicious. At $2 per taco, it's a bit on the expensive side, but when you factor in the salsa quality and the amount of meat they give you, it's quite worth it! Would recommend. I was disappointed in the tacos (meat was not especially flavorful to the point it was hard to tell apart the carne asada and al pastor) and the pupusa (cheese had a liquidy, greasy consistency). The super burrito I thought was pretty good though, I'd go with the chicken (as opposed to heavier options like the carnitas) as the cheese/sauce/guac inside the burrito was pretty rich. read more

Having moved to Mountain View recently, my bf and I were on the search for our new favorite taco truck. Mamacitas is one of the two that we've tried in this area thus far. And boy did they deliver. I haven't been this impressed with a taco truck in a long time. I even forgot to take a picture of my tasty plate because we were too excited to eat. Here's what we rated the 4 taco flavors we tried: #1 Al Pastor - Our absolute favorite. Crispy, yet juicy and flavorful pork with lots of red onion and cilantro #2 Carnitas - Came close to Al Pastor. Really great flavor. #3 Pollo Asado - I typically think chicken is not that great in tacos because they can be dry and bland. However, this one has great flavor and was pretty juicy. #4 Carne Asada - Pretty good but was overshadowed by the other meats. The tacos also came with a delicious chipotle crema. It went amazingly with all the tacos. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. It's such a short distance from home that I can definitely see us coming more often. read more

The only food I was craving upon returning to the US after 6 weeks abroad in East Africa. I was practically dreaming of the suadero quesadilla!. Their lengua and al pastor tacos are bomb as well. Can't go wrong with the chorizo ones as well. Definitely if going for late night greasy food, order anything with suadero! Would also get extra orange and green sauce to go, since they really pack a flavor punch. They also provide cucumbers (salad?) along the side of the taco truck, where the salsas are, and you can ask for a ziplock bag to take them to go. This truck is a gem. Their tacos are 99% always on point. It was only once my suadero (brisket) tacos were overly fatty. Still good though! I usually get the al pastor and carne asada tacos, eating about 7-8 in a sitting. There was a time, I could not get enough, and was there almost every day. La Jefe (the boss lady) is always really nice, and helps me practice my Spanish any time I'm there. One last thing, their orange sauce clowns on La Vic's! Best orange sauce ever.
