Been coming here once in a while for years and always have a pleasant experience. Usually try to come in the mornings when everything is fresh (like everywhere else). Their donuts taste good, my favorite so far is their apple fritter which is crunchy soft and has delicious flavor. Their jalapeño ham and cheese is good too (warmed up) & the chai tea latte is tasty (with 1/2 sweetener). The place is neat and clean, located on the corner with parking inside the plaza. I'm always greeted when I walk in and the service is great. The seating area is kept clean and tables wiped. There is usually a short line in the morning which is always a good sign of fresh food. Mamas donuts has fresh hot coffee, fresh donuts and it's a hit or miss with the turkey/cheese sandwich. Clean shop. I ordered a small coffee they had aside table with different creamers and sugars for you self serve. I really liked that so I could make my coffee perfect to my own liking. Not that the inside is any kind of urban oasis, but once you get a look at their mouthwatering selection I doubt you'd care if it was in Harvey Weinstein's basement. The cinnamon rolls and sticky buns are the stuff dreams are made of. If you're lucky enough to get ones fresh from the oven, you can tell people you know what heaven tastes like. The cronuts stand up to any served by Dominique Ansel, and for a fraction of the price. The apple fritters and bear claws are reliably delicious. Eating one will unquestionably result in you licking the remnants off your fingers as if they were lollipops. The donuts, topped with everything from sprinkles and oreos to cereals and bacon, don't get any better or fresher. But as sumptuous as their sweets may be, their savory offerings were less impressive. If you're a fan of breakfast sandwiches and burritos, don't try the ones here. They're not bad, they're just meh. So I ask them to make me 2dz halloween inspired donuts. I didn't give them design ideas, but they basically said, "We got this!" In particular, there's this one brown haired lady who was so rude and disrespectful and seemed miserable to be working there. Customer service is so important for the overall experience and during the pandemic, so many people forgot that it seems. Wow wow wow!! Its been a while since I've been to the LA area. I was visiting family and got up early since I was on east coast time and walked to this amazing place. Inside there are a few places to sit and eat, although its a bit small. Its sort of hole in the wall looking but clean. Parking probably during peak times at this place I am guessing would be a challenge. So lets get to the donuts. Oh my gosh they were super good. Fluffy tasty with just the right amount of frosting. Even the cake donuts were really good and I'm not the biggest fan of cake donuts unless they're super fresh and these were without a doubt! But not to be out done, Mama's doesn't stray from the more fun and creative donuts, topped with chocolaty cereals, candy/nuts/sweet-sweetness, and other fun toppings - I'd come here and buy their creative donuts for $2 over spending $5 at Disneyland any day! Another plus is the breakfast sandwiches - simple, light, and filling - not because they're huge mind you, but because they are well composed and made fresh behind the counter, not heated up in a microwave. This place is busy (not packed mind you) with day laborers, local retirees, and families. A nice mix of people all smiling and saying hello to each other. The staff is also nice, very happy to help. So if you live on the west side of the 405 and looking for breakfast... keep driving and leave this gem to me so I don't have to look for a parking spot! Wow! Am I glad I had my brakes done this morning at Brake Masters, just a block away from this treasure! Or, I may have never had the chance to discover how amazing it is. This isn't anywhere close to home. I had a regular chocolate glazed, but also ventured into a bacon, maple-glazed cronut. Awe damn! These two and a perfect cup of coffee... that was the ticket!! The place is clearly a popular local hangout and well maintained. People ran into each other this morning and shared a table and caught up on each other's lives. We recently ordered donuts for our daughter's science birthday parties( yes 2 days , 2 orders and they completed both with no problems). They looked amazing and taste amazing! We got so many compliments (and no one missed the cupcakes/cake). The donuts were a nice size, so we cut them in half for the little ones. Mike was really easy to work with and helped make my creative ideas come to light with only a few days notice. We also asked for an extra request of softball donuts for her team and they made those too. We are definitely ordering more soon. read more

When it comes to donut shops, nothing beats the mom and pop shops. Or in this case, the Mama's! This particular donut shop has a great selection of donuts, such as old fashioned, cake, and even croissant donuts! My personal favorites are the chocolate cake and croissant donuts. The cashier has always been super nice and helpful. I don't live nearby, but she somehow always remembers my typical selections! I guess I come here more often than I realized. ;) They also have a good hot mocha drink. Coffee drinks with donuts is like fries with burgers, right? This place is small it's on the end of a little strip mall on the corner of Balboa and Sherman Way they're really good fresh donuts they even sell cute animal characters on the weekends those are $3.95 each. Staff are very nice. They take ATM and credit card which is a big plus for me. I had the butter croissant and my friend and I shared the bacon maple Cronut and the red velvet Cronut.
