Been going to you for years and this is "NOT THE BEST IN THE VALLEY" anymore. Coffee is loose and unappealing generic brown water. The donuts are the only thing keeping this place open. And thats just being nice. I understand the inflation of food has everyone nickel and diming but don't ever short change your customers on quality. First time coming back after seeing the high reviews, and overall I liked it! I immediately noticed the giant cookies, muffins, and specialty donuts but today I just chose donuts, including the nutella, oreo, glaze twists, old fashion glaze, maple bacon, and some giant chocolate filled chocolate topped goodness. The donuts aren't greasy or oily and actually not too heavy or sweet either. My nutella was like a croissant donut, so flakey and airy, and again not too sweet with a great bite. The maple bacon also had a great balance of sweetness to salty-savory with the bacon. Service was mixed. When I first walked in, an older lady greeted me but when I said it was my first time and needed a minute to decide, she seemed annoyed. I was also the only customer in ordering at the time. I have heard SO much about Mamas Donuts over the years. So many people rave about their cronuts so I was excited to finally try them out for myself. While it's obvious that the owners put so much care and detail into their cronuts, I wouldn't say it's worth a long drive. They are just as good as the average cronut. Also, they are extremely sweet! I bought 4 with the intention of sharing with my family so we can have a taste of each. After 2 bites I was sugared out! Cronuts are so flaky so you can't store them away. They go bad very quickly. I would only order as many as you think you can eat in one sitting. Keep in mind that 4 cronuts and 1 orange juice cost $20. The red velvet was the best one! The red velvet crumbled on top reminded me of a sprinkles cupcake. If you can only pick one, I'd definitely recommend red velvet. They also have freshly squeezed orange juice available in the fridge. If you're planning on dropping by make sure to call ahead of time because they have varying operating hours. While, it was nice to finally try this place out, I don't think I'll be back. Had a red crumble donut with cream inside that was pretty darn tasty and my kids liked their traditional glazed and strawberry donuts, but I was underwhelmed by the apple fritter. Will we return? I have passed by this doughnut place numerous times and I finally stopped by the place. I came during lunch time and people were ordering sandwiches.
