Food was good, but service very bad. Had to call over the server multiple times to get items that we needed to eat our meal. The seafood pancake, ban ban fried chicken, and vegetable bibampap was ordered. Only 2 small banchan dishes was given. I thought cost was high for portion size and service. 2nd time here to give it another try. Will go to my go to Korean restaurant in Bellevue and Issaquah instead.

The ambiance is modern with a few casual tables, and it felt cozy overall. I came to meet a friend around 7:45 PM on a Tuesday. The kitchen was open, clean, and maintained good hygiene. The server was incredibly friendly and sweet. Since I arrived quite early, he kindly offered me a hot tea, which was very tasty and refreshing. I ordered the bibimbap, which was quite good everything appeared fresh, and the egg and flavors were enjoyable. The best part was that the server didn't rush us at all, whether it was with the order or the check. We ended up staying for nearly two hours, talking about everything openly.

Portions are very generous! I ordered the dolsot bibimbap and usually this is enough for one person, but they gave so much here that it could've been shared with my party! It was a lot, but good. I was able to try out the wings and kimbap as well and it was all pretty good. No hate. Service is as expected. Not going out of their way to give an outstanding experience. Just enough to get you what you need. There aren't too many tables and I can see the larger table in the middle being shared by different groups cafeteria style. Overall, good spot to eat and grab some Korean food on a cold rainy day.

Solid spot for Korean food in Bellevue! Would recommend coming with more people so you can share. I came here with 2 friends for dinner on a Tuesday night around 6 pm and it was still fairly empty. It was completely full by the time we left with 1-2 groups waiting, so it's definitely a popular spot. We came in the middle of a heat wave, but it didn't feel like the restaurant turned on their AC, so it was super hot and stuffy inside. I was hoping to escape the heat by coming to the restaurant but sadly that wasn't the case. On top of that, they gave us room temperature water at the beginning, and we had to specifically ask for iced water. If it's that hot inside and out, at the very least they could've given everyone iced water by default... Anyways, moving onto the food. We shared the following items: Veggie eggroll ($6.99) - pretty standard Ban ban chicken ($24.99) - didn't realize their fried chicken would be in the form of chicken wings and not drumsticks, which is what I'm used to. The menu doesn't call out that it's chicken wings either, which would've been helpful. I liked it but thought it was pricy for the portion Galbi-jjim bibimbap ($24.99) - my favorite dish of the night. Galbi was flavorful and they include plenty of egg and veggies to mix together with the rice Katsu mayo over rice ($16.99) - I personally found this dish bland but my other friends liked it. I didn't think there was enough flavor in the chicken and egg to eat with all the rice they give you

I first saw Mama's Kitchen while visiting another restaurants in the plaza. I always like trying Korean food restaurants and this one was very good! We went towards the end of lunch and were seated quickly (there's no reservations, only a wait list). While the seating area isn't large, they're able to fit quite a few tables in and there is an open kitchen at the back. Everything was very clean and the staff were very efficient in bussing tables. They were also quick in taking our order and the food also came out to us quickly. As for the food, I have my favorites and had to get the soondoboo soup. I'd say this is higher on my list of good ones, nice flavor without it being too spicy and I only wish the bowl was bigger. We also ordered the beef bulgogi over rice, also with excellent flavor and quality meat and the seafood pancake. The pancake had lots of seafood but I wasn't used to the panko-like breading. Altogether very good and would go back next time I'm in the area.

Hamburger steak, look at the water on the plate.

I'm writing this review based on two separate visits. I wanted to share my experience--especially with the Half & Half (H&H) chicken--and see if others had similar thoughts. During my first visit, I ordered the H&H chicken and the hamburger steak. The hamburger steak lacked seasoning and had an unpleasant ground meat smell that wasn't masked well. But the worst part was the plating. The plate was full of water from the salad, which had run into the rice and meat. Every time I picked up a piece of food, I had to shake off excess water--it was really off-putting. The H&H chicken was the most disappointing. I took most of it to go, and while packing, I noticed all six pieces were wings. I had already eaten a couple, so I was confused--how could there be more than two wings from one chicken? I looked around and noticed other tables who ordered the same dish didn't get just wings, so I'm not sure what happened there. On my second visit, I ordered the chadol jjolmyun, veggie kimbap (their best and signature item), and chicken katsu. The chicken katsu is basically the same as the hamburger steak in terms of sauce and plating--just a different protein. I'm not a fan of their sauce. I wish they offered something with more kick or a tangier flavor. The overall taste was bland, and I quickly got tired of it. The chadol jjolmyun was pretty good--plenty of veggies and nicely cooked meat on top. The initial presentation was scrumptious. However, the noodles were buried at the bottom and hard to mix in. Also, the flavor leaned greasy due to the meat and extra sesame oil. A bit more vinegar or something refreshing would have balanced it better. The veggie kimbap remains my favorite. It has a minimal rice-to-veggie ratio and is packed with fresh ingredients. The side of pickled radish kimchi adds a nice kick and helps reset your palate between bites. Overall, I still feel the prices are a bit high for what you get, but since everything is expensive these days, I might come back occasionally. When I do, I'll stick to their signature items like kimbap and tteokbokki.

Very authentic Korean place. Small place and the wait around dinner time can be hectic since they are understaff and waitlist is confusing. But the food was great. I particularly like bubibamp. Lots of veggies and they even have some jelly like veggies that I rarely seen in other places. Their kimbamp are huge with lots of filling and less rice. But would skip on the tofu soup. It taste a lot like msg with lots of chili powder.

Mama's Kitchen is a small mom and pop shop serving Korean classics. We came here for lunch and was lucky to get a table right away. It was quite a wait before we got our food but they were all delicious so all is well. We got the seafood pancake, the gyoza, the ban ban chicken and a cup of sikhye. - The seafood pancake was great, it had a different texture compared to pancakes that I've had in the past, not better or worse, just different. - The gyoza I couldn't remember, it was mostly consumed by our kid. - We enjoyed the ban ban chicken; I liked their yangnyeom sauce. - The sikhye (traditional sweet Korean rice beverage) was pretty good but is an acquired taste, so some might not appreciate it. They seem to be known for their kimbap so I would try that next time.

Mama's Kitchen is my favorite Korean restaurant in the Seattle area! It is my go-to spot while visiting the Bellevue/Factoria area. Every dish is flavorful, well-portioned, and comes piping hot. The service is friendly and quick; however, the restaurant is small and does not take reservations, so expect a wait during peak lunchtime hours and on weekends. My favorite items are the seafood pancake and the tofu soup (soonduboo jigae). I LOVE seafood pancakes, and this one is crispy, light, and packed with shrimp, squid, and mussels. It comes with a delicious sauce that I can't get enough of. The tofu soup is hearty and balanced, and has meatballs, shrimp, mussels, squid, and scallops, along with a side of rice and banchan. The tofu is soft and creamy, and the rice is perfectly cooked. I don't usually eat white rice at home, so this really hits the spot! The fried chicken is crispy and juicy, and on par with other Korean fried chicken places I've tried in the area. The restaurant itself is clean, sleek, and comfortable for a quick lunch or hangout with friends.

Exactly what it says it is: Korean comfort food. Prices a bit on the higher side, but good portion sizes and we liked the food a lot. When you walk in you immediately get served hot barley tea. Menu on QR codes. Relatively fast service. Small restaurant that I can see getting pretty busy during peak hours. We tried the seafood ramen and the kalbi bibimbop. My only complaint is the "hot sauce" isn't spicy at all!

A cute little shop across from T&T supermarket. Pretty straightforward restaurant there's like barely any decorations but their food is legit! Got the jalapeño mayo and honey fried chicken combo and the kimchi fried rice with melted cheese. I was not expecting the jalapeño mayo to be sweet but it paired really well with the fried chicken! The honey chickens also really well balance and fried to perfection. I kind of expected the Kimchi fried rice to be spicy but it wasn't. It was actually really pleasant and you can kind of taste the wok a little. It was maybe a little too oily for my taste but that could also be the heap of cheese on top. Can't wait to try more of their menu!

Hearty and heavy comfort food here! My friend and I have mistaken this place for Mama Dough in Kent for the longest time solely because of their similar names, yet both serve different kinds of cuisine and are located in different cities. We had that conversation as we were driving to here, which is located in the same plaza where Chi Chi is. Oddly enough, the parking lot is massive yet parking was rough to find especially on a Friday evening around 5:30pm. Well, when you do find parking and get here, you're greeted with quite a plain white interior that has many tables for 2 to 4 people, and tons of K-pop music playing in the background. The overall place was really clean despite it being nearly packed when I walked in. The menu is offered as a QR code, and servers take your order when you're ready. We placed our order for food and then waited for quite a while, to the point where the two people who got seated after we did AND sat right next to us got all their food before my friend and I did, and we all ordered very similar things. It's because of this inconsistency of orders that this visit wasn't the 5-star visit it should have been. All of the above being said, the food slaps really hard for it being comfort food! We went overboard, as I usually do when I eat out: - I got the katsu mayo over rice as my main dish. The rice and eggs were quite plain, and the egg texture wasn't my favorite. The real winner was the chicken cutlet with their mayo drizzled on top of it. My taste buds were in love with the combination of tender, juicy meat, and a subtle hint of sweet coming from the mayo. This ended up being a lot and it was one of two dishes I ended up packing as leftovers. - I didn't eat my friend's galbi-jjim bibimbap in its entirety, but he did give me a large piece of the beef short ribs that came with it. Wow I could eat the meat by itself and I'd be satsfied, it was flavorful and juicy x1000! - We both also split a serving of ban ban chicken, which came with both original fried chicken and yangnyeom (gochujang sauce covered) fried chicken. Pieces varied a lot by size for both kinds, but it was still very satisfying. I took some of the original fried chicken to go as we couldn't finish what was left. All of these dishes were quite heavy, so come with a big appetite and maybe not go as crazy as I did. You'll have a great time eating here!

The rose tteokbokki is always a 10/10! The bibimbap was a first this time, you can't mess it up. But it wasn't the best I've ever had. The jalapeño mayo wings reminded me of the honey walnut prawn sweet sauce. I've been here multiple times and they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly.

I love pho, but Kalbi Tang is a Astro up in general and here at Daeho is another step up Kalbi Tang primarily because of the meat flavor and thickness. Not a big fan of the glass noodles and still giving the dish 5 stars. The quantity of meat is also solid. This will fill you up no doubt, it better be for near $30. The rest of the food here for me is meh. Too much foo foo. The banchan is average. Service might be spotty, you have to wave people down but they are always friendly. The first time I visited, the quality of the meat cuts didn't impress me, and the soups lacked depth of flavor. I'm not talking about needing more salt--the broth itself just tasted flat. When you're paying close to $30 for a bowl of soup, I think it's reasonable to expect a higher level of quality and care to ingredients. The second visit was a mixed experience. To be fair, I was in the wrong. There is a clearly posted policy stating that your entire party must be present before being seated. My group was about seven minutes away, and since I had already checked in on Yelp and there were only two parties ahead of me with no one physically waiting, I asked if I could be seated and order while I waited. I had already been standing inside for about 10 minutes. I was told that although tables were available, seating me ahead of the other parties on the waitlist would be unfair. I understood the reasoning, but she had also asked prior for my order. Her explanation left me confused so i sheepishly said I understood the policy. She already seemed upset by the time i had gotten there. Sometimes we have off days i get that. This place is clearly hit or miss, I've got friends who absolutely swear by it. For me, though, it wasn't anything special and didn't justify the price. If you're looking for Korean food in the area, I've had better experiences with higher-quality dishes elsewhere, especially in Lynnwood.

Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. Although we didn't order any dishes that made use of the advanced tabletop, I still think it's so cool! Despite the tables also having a digital kiosk, I appreciated how they still handed us actual menus and manually took our order, both of which are becoming less common these days. Our group started with some hot tea and ordered three dishes which was the perfect amount to share. We loved each item and I enjoyed tasting the various banchan side dishes (included with most main menu items): broccoli, traditional kimchi, omelet, potato, salad and kimchi cucumbers. I can be picky about kimchi, but this one had an ideal balance between tartness, spice, slight sweetness and umami. Their kimchi cucumbers were also a hit as they were refreshing with a tantalizing heat. + SEAFOOD PANCAKE ($25): My first time having a seafood pancake and it won't be my last! It was hot right off the pan with a crispy golden exterior. The seafood included baby shrimp, baby octopus and calamari. It seemed like the portion of seafood was reasonable since I had some in almost every bite, however I don't recall seeing much shrimp... mostly calamari and octopus. They added a lot of green onion, which I personally liked as it gave the pancake an element of freshness. This came with a side of soy dipping sauce, but I enjoyed it as is. The portion size was generous for the three of us. + KIMCHI BEEF TOFU SOUP ($22): This soup was basically a comforting hug in a stone pot. It arrived at our table, still bubbling, with a small bowl of rice. While there wasn't a ton of beef in the soup, the pieces were lean and tender and there was enough to split between the three of us. I loved the smooth silky tofu, and the kimchi gave the soup a little tang. Adding a scoop of rice into my personal bowl and pouring the soup on top made for perfect bites as the grains absorbed the broth. We requested a medium spice level which was just right for me. + HOT POT BI-BIM-BAP w/ CHICKEN ($25): You can't go wrong with this dish! Carrots, radish, zucchini, bean sprouts, spinach and a raw egg topped the bed of rice along with our protein choice of chicken. We stirred in the egg immediately and I enjoyed all the fresh vegetables in the bowl. The chicken was delicious as well and seemed to have a slightly sweet marinade. The best part is the little bites of rice that crisped up against the side of the bowl, adding some toasty notes and texture. We forgot to drizzle on some of the red chili sauce provided with the dish, so I'll need to do that next time! The three of us had a terrific dinner here and the service is so kind. We were checked on three times, which surpassed my expectations. We came for an early dinner on Sunday, so it was relatively quiet, even shortly after 6:00P. Even if the restaurant was full, the tables are spaced comfortably apart and I noticed they even had a separate section that is walled off for a larger group. Parking is also easy, running right alongside the neighboring walking trail. Needless to say, I'll be back!

Ok so here are my thoughts…read more Taste/Presentation of the dishes - 3.5 to 4 stars. My daughter and I ordered Rosé Teokbokki and Signature Kimbap. Both dishes were quite tasty and the presentation was excellent but Kimbap was cold (I guess that is okay but it should really be served just slightly colder than room temp) and the sides that came with Rosé Teokbokki were premade stuff from Young Ocean or another vendor, not housemade. Also the sauce for Rosé had "Korean Corn Soup" in it. I love the Korean Corn Soup but it's a cheap instant stuff you can buy at any Korean Grocery. Service/Venue/Ambiance - 3 stars. Simply put - not memorable but not bad either. Place was clean but very blank. It definitely does not feel like a place that should charge the price they do (more to come on this later). Food came out pretty fast and the server was okay. The space was pretty big and we didn't have to wait to be seated (Sunday 11:30am). Price/Value - Negative 5 stars. 20 dollars for what we got is quite ridiculous. Terrible value! Half the food we ate wasn't even made in house. On top of all this, they charged 80 cents more than the listed prices on the menu!! Wow and why? They ask for tip too. There is nowhere on the menu that says they charge 4% service fees. This is such a scam imo. Restaurants that charge service fees! Please stop. Unless the fees go to pay the wages of the employees, it should be illegal for businesses to do this. Overall, you can definitely live without this place. Food is pretty good but you really deserve better than feeling you got ripped off plus the extra 4% when paying the bill.

Located in an unassuming strip mall. 4.5 Stars…read more The menu features a delightful mix of Korean and Japanese dishes, with some items creatively fused together. Inviting Atmosphere - The interior is beautifully designed, showcasing a lovely earthy forest green palette complemented by mahogany-toned furniture. Food - The California Roll ($12) was a masterpiece--expertly crafted with an optimal rice-to-filling ratio. A light brushing of sesame oil on top elevated the flavor of the entire roll. The Rose Tteokbokki ($20) was not to my taste; I prefer a more traditional version. The cream and cheese made it a bit heavy for my liking. However, the toppings, including bulgogi gyoza and shrimp tempura, were deliciously crispy and freshly fried. Excellent Service - The staff is exceptionally polite and attentive.
