I have always been a huge fan of Pizza place and was so excited to see it come back. The Sampler is a huge hit with my whole family. We have always been able to order a medium and it be more than enough for 2 adults and a kid with left overs. Today I was shocked that the pizza we have always ordered looked like a small/personal size pizza with little to no toppings and all crust. We look forward to our weekly pizza place pizza night and this was VERY disappointing! read more

Was interested in trying this place as I had not been there since the 80's. The restaurant was clean and pleasantly decorated. Staff was attentive and prompt. While we waited for our food I observed the staff talking loudly amongst themselves, including using a lot of foul language. It took 17 minutes for the food to arrive. Pizza and spaghetti. After the first bite I realized I had been very fortunate not to have been here since the 1980s. Yes, the hot food was hot and the cold food cold, but come on! Some things are best left in the past. "School lunch quality" is the best way to describe it. Just very sub par. We will not be back. read more

They said they were going to go back to the original recipes. They lied a bunch. Been waiting for weeks for spaghetti. Ordered the 1/2 order. They used to have the best garlic bread I have ever had. This was burnt knotty crap. Ordered the original creamy italian dressing and got ranch. Please don't waste your money eating here. Fantastic pizza, blue bell ice cream, and just good people. Love the atmosphere which is a great place to get pizza with friends. Very fair prices as well. Love the way they call out orders : playing cards! And they generally care too! The owner and manager went from table to table welcoming people and making sure everything is great! read more

Service was good and the delivery arrived on time, but I didn't like the pizza that much, specially the crust. They've gone back to the original homemade creamy Italian salad dressing and it's yummy! The pizza and sub sandwich are delicious!! Everything is fresh and manager is friendly. Cheesy but not a lot of flavor to the pizza overall. The crust is very crunchy and it's got kind of a weird texture. The sizes are smaller than you would think and it's overpriced for what you get. It's good but not quite worth it. read more

Well, so far this was the ONLY place that I liked in Stephenville. I was skeptical to even try it, but I was told by several of the towns people that it was very good and the business has been there for decades and they have never changed the recipe and that I needed to try it. To be honest I wan in their with my family and I let them order what they wanted and that if I liked it that I would order a pizza of my own. My daughter ordered a mini pizza which has 4 small slices, it was a pepperoni and she said that she liked it. It did take a little long for the pizza to come out, but I didn't care I was busy talking. I tried a piece of my daughters pizza and it was pretty good. It was a little light in sauce, but was still good. The crust was nice and crisp and not soggy at all. The girl behind the counter told me that they make fresh dough twice a day. So, I got me a 10 inch 2 topping pizza which only cost me a little over 6 bucks. I got a mushroom and black olive pizza to go. Well, when I got back to my hotel and then started eating. It didn't taste the same as the pizza I just had. I looked at the pizza and the mushrooms on the pizza were canned and didn't taste good at all. If I ever go back there again, I will just get the pepperoni pizza. read more

I usually love the food here, but tonight has not been good. I ordered a pizza sub and breadsticks. Was asked if would like cheese on the breadsticks and said I would. 15 minutes later a girl came over to where I was sitting and said that she had burned my breadsticks but that she had made more and my food would be out shortly. 15 minutes after that my order was up.I brought the boxes to my table and discovered that the sub was burnt and the breadsticks were without cheese. I asked for and was given a refund on the breadsticks but am disappointed nonetheless. They were not busy, so not sure what happened. read more

I had a 8" pizza and the Texas spaghetti the pizza was good but not like the best I have had but good enough I would go back. The spaghetti was good but I did not care for the meat balls read more

The pizza is delicious, but the service could use some work. Some days if you ask for ranch you get charged, some days you dont. guess it depends on the owners mood. The pizza sub wasn't good, the bread soaked up all the marinara and got soggy quick, but the other subs look good. the pizza is the reason to go, it IS called the pizza place. read more

Bad from front doors caked inside and out with black grease around windows and on door handles, next we were greeted by a cook with his kitchen gloves on, he took our order, handled money, and entered us in the register with out removing them before returning to prepare orders in the kitchen. the counters and area around the drink machine looked sadly in need of a fresh wipe down. Upon locating a table that was "semi clear" of crumbs, we sat down for an hour wait for our pizza,we noted that the walls of the booth had many remnants of prior visitors drink and food explosions all over the place. The AC vents have several years of gunk blown out of them giving an interesting patina to the ceiling, the ceiling fans looked as if the blades were made of shag carpeting and their light globes appear as if they are growing a fur coat as well, the floor appeared as if they had some attention with a mop but the person failed to move the chairs as mop strings were attached and the mopping failed to do much more than smear the filth still on the floor. We get our pizza after an hour wait and it has a great crust but very little sauce or cheese, the sausage has the texture and flavor of sawdust, the pepperoni was there but not at all that flavorful the onions peppers and mushrooms were not cooked properly. We Will Not Be Back and we highly recommend that the City Health Dept pay them a visit and shut their doors. read more

One of us was craving pizza and we were staying across the street, so we thought why not? The pizza was fine. Not fancy by any means but it wasn't cardboard. The spaghetti and meatballs left something to be desired. I am not sure if they actually used garlic in the sauce but it was incredibly bland and the pasta was mush. The meatballs were okay. There wasn't any Parmesan or cheese with it. I feel like it may have been tomato paste with meat. Anyway, the kids working were nice enough. But don't go expecting anything even remotely Italian. Terrible service and/or attention to order! I ordered a large pizza and two small salads I got the pizza and a big bag with two ranch dressings in it and no salad did not notice until I got clear across town to the house I called them back and told them and was told that they were so sorry but no solution to the problem. Make sure you have everything that you ordered before driving away is the only lesson I learned from this!! They did not even try to make it right!! read more

My husband had a long day. We like Pizza Place pizza and thought we would try their new delivery option instead of going to the restaurant. I ordered the pizza around 7:40 and asked for it to be delivered to our home, a whole 1.2 miles away from the restaurant. It took over an hour for our pizza to be delivered. We will never use their delivery again. read more
