Clever name for the restaurant. I wonder if it's related in any way to Mama's Fish House?

They have adapted the counter- service which is quite popular on Maui and when we arrived for breakfast in the line they announced that they have seats available at the bar so we took it. The bartender was friendly and accommodating. FOOD: We ordered the Light Kine and Big Kahuna Omelette for breakfast and the omelette was infused with a tasty fried rice which was very flavorful. For dinner We ordered I thought were short ribs but they were Kalbi ribs which was prepared delicious and savory We also had the crab cake and greens and poke bowl both fresh and healthy looking. Ambiance: Open setting with piped Music in the morning and live local hawaiian music in the evening. What a delightful Hawaiian experience to the "T" to start the vacation Highly recommended

Including myself. How it works: Get in line, scan menu, order more than your eyes can handle (lol), find a table with your number and in a short while your food is out and ready to take you to food comaland. Get your drinks by the bar. Sodas, ice teas etc The vibe is really chill. Great for big families as there is plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. There's also a lot of parking as it is in a big plaza. Listen, I will come back again and again no questions so just give the whole menu a try. PRO TIP: Remember to practice Aloha. We are on island time so things move slower than the mainland is used to. Be kind to your servers and dont forget to tip when paying before seating!

Maui Fish'n Chips hit the spot and was definitely worth the visit…read more Maui Fish'n Chips is tucked in the corner of a small plaza in Kihei, as most places seem to be. This place has a decent amount of covered seating outside, but no seating inside. The menu is simple, and you order inside. We ordered the Cod Fish with rice, Coconut shrimp, deep fried zucchini, and a side of potato mac salad. The fish and chips were easily the best thing we ate. The fish had outstanding flavor and were battered and fried perfectly. If we only ordered the fish and chips, this place would get an easy 5 stars, no questions asked. Unfortunately, the rest of the food we ate was meh. The coconut shrimp were large and had good coconut flavor, but were overcooked and a little burnt, which altered the overall flavor. But I am guessing if it wasn't burnt, it would have great. I typically love deep fried zucchini, so I was excited to try it here. If didn't meet expectations though (sad face). The zucchini slices were cut very thin, and when deep-fried, I felt like I tasted more of the fried breading than I did the actual zucchini. My wife is a big macaroni and potato salad person, and she was not impressed. She said it had too much mayo and not enough substance.... I was pleased with the service and staff! Everyone that worked there was really nice and helpful. I also appreciate all the seating outside. I also thought it was cool they had a lot of board games for kids to use while we waited for our food. Very unique and solid addition! This place gets a solid 4 stars. If they made little tweaks to the rest of their side dishes, this place could easily be one of the better places to eat in Maui.

He explained that he made the specials of the day while the regular menu was made inside the food truck. We were too full however tempted, and decided to go watch the sunset. But afterwards we wandered back to share a dish, and settled upon the beef special since we hadn't had any all trip. We had the smoked maminha tri-tip steak, Okinawa purple sweet potato, grilled maui onion and broccolini. Beautifully plated on real plates and silverware. No comparison to the so many common $21 food truck entrees and cost just a little more. The owner also is very sociable and enjoys talking about this food in a variety of languages with passers by and customers. On the far end from main entrance to the Kihei Food Oasis, or right at the other entrance, depending on how you enter. I wish we had found it earlier or we would have eaten there more than once!

They can be very busy, but they have the ability to really get food out quickly, and the quality is always outstanding. Further, they have a few little happy hour specials, which we had never noticed in the past. We checked that out as well. We went three times on our recent visit to Kihei. If you don't know what to order, it's easy. Order the fish tacos. You get two. You will be full. I promise you that. If you're not that hungry, split an order with someone. First Time at Maui Lobster King!…read more George and I stopped by Maui Lobster King in Kihei for the first time, and it was a fantastic lunch experience! We arrived right around 2:00 PM--perfect timing to catch that sweet spot between the lunch and dinner rush. The restaurant was incredibly clean on the inside, it wasn't busy at all, and we were seated immediately. (Bonus: If you're in a rush, they have a convenient dedicated counter right by the front for takeout orders!) The Details & Sides I have to give a shout-out to the presentation. George didn't think the branded logo accessories were necessary, but personally, I love logos! The more the better--especially when you're taking food photos, because everyone immediately knows where you are. We also tried the fries, which came out hot, crunchy, and served in an adorable mini fry basket. They were served plain, which is probably a smart move to keep salt from falling through the holes in the basket and making a mess on the way from the kitchen, but I definitely would have preferred them salted! George's Seafood Combo George ordered the seafood combo loaded with shrimp, snow crab, and king crab, which he thought was an excellent price for the amount of food you get. For his seasoning, he went with all the flavors combined and kicked it up to spicy. The Flavor: The spice level was pretty mild and manageable, leaning a bit more on the sweeter side, which was really tasty. The Seafood: He was seriously impressed with how perfectly everything was cooked--neither the snow crab nor the king crab were overcooked at all. The shrimp was absolutely delicious. The Sides & Sauce: The sweet corn and red potatoes soaked up the sauce beautifully. The sausage was good, though we both thought it would be next-level if they pan-fried it for a second before throwing it into the boil to give it a little extra color and texture! Overall, a super clean spot, great service, and perfectly cooked seafood. We'll definitely be back! XOXO, ChelsieFletcher

It comes with two scoops of rice and a small Mac salad. I will tell you that the garlic shrimp was some of the best I have ever had! I wish the shrimp were already peeled though because a lot of the garlic flavor and sauce was on the shell. I would order it again and again though. If you like shrimp get this! The Mac salad was one of the better Mac salads we had on our trip but it was still kind of average in my opinion. There were some little crunchy bits under the shrimp that was so flavorful when mixed with the rice. The chicken musubi was a big miss for me. Too much rice and not enough sauce. The service was fast and efficient. I would recommend coming here and would gladly come back. This place is reasonably priced for what you get.
