Being that this was the only seafood boil spot that popped up when we were craving seafood, we decided to give this place a try. You order right when you walk in & take a seat at one of the tables. We ordered the seafood combo with all the seasonings & spicy & the grilled shrimp. Our food came out pretty quick but we did have to ask our server for multiple things even though we were the only table in the restaurant. The fried shrimp wasn't too bad but the seafood boil was the worst boil I've ever had. The crab was as small as my fingers & there was barely any other seafood. The sauce somehow tasted.. burnt? It was so watery & flavorless. I tried to add lemon to it to try to help with the taste, but it was so gross it didn't help. Their sauce needs to be fixed because I couldn't taste any lemon pepper or Cajun, just burnt butter. This place was not good at all & not somewhere I'd return. We wound up just throwing the food away.

IMHO With a name like Maui Lobster King, it definitely piques interest, doesn't it? I'm not a shellfish eater, but I can always find something to eat when my friends or family have a craving for shellfish. We had a party of 11 and they quickly pushed a few tables together to accommodate us. My family ordered and paid at the counter, but the remaining group ordered from the table after they had arrived. My husband & daughter shared the Fresh Garlic Lobster Noodle plate, $46.95, and I ordered a Cheeseburger and fries $10.95, plus a side of macaroni salad, $2.50. The others enjoyed a crayfish plate, grilled fish plates, Korean short ribs plate, the Ginger Garlic Lobster plate ($39.95) and fries' w/gravy ($10.95). Everyone cleaned their plates! Friendly service and smiles all around from the staff. The restaurant is bright, clean, and welcoming, with a nautical theme. There is no bathroom, but the restaurant gives out the restroom codes for the bathrooms, which are near the stairs outside. Will we return one day? You bet!!!

We had our last dinner here in Maui! Ambiance: Really clean and nice restaurant with gold and white marble essence. Casual vibes. Service: Friendly, quick, and efficient. Food: We wanted to get seafood boil but decided not to because it was too hot xD Garlic shrimps: Garlic flavor was much lighter compared to other places but we actually preferred it this way. The dish came out very fragrant and the shrimps were tasty but also smaller than what you'd get from food trucks. Lobster with garlic noodles- VERY weak on garlic flavor and I'm pretty sure these noodles were from a ramen packet. Lobster was fresh, meaty, and delicious.

Good food and the only place you can have this type of experience on Maui as far as I know! The restaurant itself feels like you're sitting at a higher end fast food chain, but we had fun! The seafood bake with potatoes, sausages, corn, seafood is a big hit. They give you gloves, a bib, and wet wipes. We got the garlic noodles, lobster dish, and really enjoyed it. We also had the garlic shrimp which were delicious. The employees were very kind and friendly.

we order the garlic shrimp, loco moco, I had lots of them in HI. This was not greasy and tasted soooooo good. definitely we will return.

If you like lobster, this is the place for you. Excellent preparation and not too salty. Kids loved the lobster with noodles and we came back twice for that. Dug in so fast we never got a photo haha. One of my daughters also enjoyed the chicken katsu and polished off the whole thing. Food is made fresh so don't expect the speed of fast food, but it's made promptly and tastes delicious. Service was excellent and always with a smile. Ambiance was a cross between fast food and sit down restaurant. Great for families and any lobster lover.

This was our very first stop after landing in Maui, and it was a great way to kick off our trip. We ordered the garlic lobster noodles, a shrimp and clam plate, and the riblets plate. Shrimp & Clam Plate: Really good fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Garlic Lobster Noodles: Tasty and satisfying. Riblets Plate: Really, really good. One of our favorites. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the service was great. The restaurant itself is very clean, which we appreciated. The only thing we noticed is that we're used to eating spicy food, and they didn't have any chile options aside from Sriracha but that's just a personal preference. Overall, clean place, good atmosphere, and tasty food. We'd definitely come back again the next time we're in Maui.

I was hesitant to come, due to the menu and name changes over the past couple of years. The place looks like a high-end Asian restaurant, all marble/stone and gold, with the exception of the giant windows. It smelled and looked very, very clean. I was greeted nearly immediately, so having been caught staring at the menu, I decided to buckle up and stay for the ride. It promotes its Cajun style lobster boil, which I like the idea, but that concept with the rest of the menu makes it appear like the identity of the restaurant is still being explored. A family having the lobster boil meal in the restaurant commented it was 'delicious!". I'd like to come back and try the boil with a friend. Although it's called "Maui Lobster King", I'd say it's closer in line with Hawaiian barbecue style places, with its options of steamed rice, macaroni salad, shrimp, fish, beef, etc. It also includes hamburgers on its menu, which surprised me, as it surprised another reviewer. Not a bad thing, but hamburgers at a lobster restaurant does raise the eyebrows. I ordered the 5 piece shrimp plate, with rice and macaroni salad. For $12.99, it woudn't be a huge money risk. It was generally very good! The shrimp was hot and crispy. The breading was a little thick but it's likely to provide value despite the small-ish shrimp. Very tasty shrimp breading. A pretty common seafood sauce was included, and it may have been home made. Nice flavor. The rice was perfectly cooked. The macaroni salad was a little tasteless, like it needed salt or vinegar. When I asked for shoyu, I was politely offered an array of seasonings: their own chili sauce, salt, pepper, shoyu, Tabasco and siracha. Their chili sauce was amazing! It brightened up my meal immensely. I am thinking they should almost sell their sauce, on the side, like another restaurant of which I know and enjoy does with its own hot sauce. Their small plates are extremely reasonable: $12.99 for a five piece shrimp meal, mac salad, rice and cabbage salad underneath. Some food trucks are charging double for less. I don't need a lot of food, as I don't like to feel 'stuffed' and my appetite as a person in her 50s is not the same as some of those Maui bodybuilders. So, their small plates are perfect for me, in terms of food amounts and pricing. I'd return.

    Cajun seafood boil

Tried this place out because I had heard good things about their seafood boil and was not disappointed! I got the Cajun sauce with shrimp, muscles, and snow crab legs. It was very flavorful with a slight kick of heat. The waitress was super nice and all of the food we ordered was delicious!

Forgot to yelp our first time there but We had garlic shrimp and tempura shrimp. It was good. Sorry forgot the pics on those. So this is the second time and the review. Had the boil with shrimp and snow crab legs we shared) with butter garlic. Butter garlic was ok I like shrimp hale better but it was ok.

French fries and fried fish musubi

My mom and I tried this place for the first time. The workers were nice, everything was clean and organized, and they played current pop songs. I was pleasantly surprised with how good everything was. I got the mini garlic fish filet plate. We shared the fried fish musubi and french fries. She got the garlic shrimp plate. I liked mostly everything. I wouldn't get the musubi again unless it was a different meat; I just didn't care for the fried fish on it. I would come here again and recommend it to others.

Place was great, staff was friendly, food was piping hot and very flavorful and was served quickly. Prices are very reasonable and good portions. We hope to visit again and when we do we will make this one of our stops for sure. The restaurant is very clean too.

Double cheeseburger! It didn't look like it would taste that bussin!

I ordered the classic loco moco (with your choice of two eggs over a beef patty on brown rice and topped with a mushroom-onion gravy) and served with a big heaping of mac salad on the side. The brown gravy was a bit underwhelming, and the mac salad was rich with heaviness. I managed to try the Kalbi chicken salad wrap and found this dish to be a better option in my opinion. The truck itself is fun, painted with bright tropical colors and scenes, and they seem to be known for their loaded tots and bao buns. I placed my order on the touchscreen outside and then sat down to wait for my food. For lunch on this day I went with the buffalo chicken tots and the Island Piggy bao. The menu described the bao as kalua pork, BBQ sauce, tropical salsa, and pickled red onions. The buffalo chicken tots were described as buttermilk fried chicken, buffalo sauce, jack cheddar cheese, house made pickles, and ranch dressing. It took less than 10 minutes for my food to be ready and I sat down at one of the shaded picnic tables. When I opened everything up it all looked good, but I did notice that the tots were missing the house made pickles. I started with the bao and thought it was pretty good. The kalua pork was super juicy and the bao bun was light and fluffy while still holding together well. The pickled onions added a nice acidity and the tropical salsa brought good flavor. The only thing I did not notice much was the BBQ sauce. After that I dug into the tots. The tots themselves were cooked nicely with a crispy outside and soft inside. The chicken was good as well with a nice batter and the buffalo sauce added flavor while the cheese was gooey. The only thing worth noting is that the chicken was softer than expected and not very crispy. It worked since I did have the texture from the crispy tots, but it stood out. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I would probably not order both a bao and tots again as it was a lot of food, but I would definitely come back for one or the other.

This one is all about surf and turf, local style, and the lineup looks like something you'd expect from a steakhouse rather than a truck with wheels. I went straight for their signature twelve ounce prime rib with creamed potatoes, because when you see prime rib coming out of a food truck, you have to test whether dreams really do come true. Let me tell you, they do. The meat was juicy, tender, and cooked with way more skill than I was prepared for while standing under palm trees in a garden. The creamed potatoes were rich, velvety, and the perfect partner to all that beefy glory. I actually caught myself grinning between bites because it was just that satisfying. The whole vibe of eating prime rib in the middle of a tropical garden adds a little bit of magic to the experience. You're sitting there, surrounded by lush greenery, people milling around with poke bowls and smoothies, and suddenly you're carving into a slab of steak that belongs on a white tablecloth. It is part fine dining, part Maui chill, and completely awesome. The staff at the truck were friendly, quick, and clearly proud of what they're serving. And they should be. This is one of those food trucks that could easily pull off a brick-and-mortar restaurant, but instead you get to enjoy it in a garden setting with your flip flops on. Aloha Prime Eatery is a serious new contender in the South Maui food truck scene and absolutely worth seeking out.
