I hate to write negative reviews, because this men (the owner) was so sweet, kind and the service was great. Unfortunately, when we arrive the place is really dirty. We went there because one of my friends loves the turkey wings there and she recommended it. We order turkey plate, cabbage, sweet plantain, rice &peas and jerk chicken. I was afraid to consume the food and get some sort of poisoning. When I bent over to take a look at the food it did not look good. I asked myself are people really eating this? Then I looked in the back and the kitchen was also dark and a dirty mess. Mountains of dirty pots and pans. I said fk it, let's see what this is all about. See my receipt attached. Sad to say we took a bite of everything, and we ended up throwing it ALL away. Had to go spend more money to buy something else to eat. I do NOT recommend this place at all. Jerk is supposed to be bold, smoky, and full of flavor--this wasn't that. The jerk wasn't jerking. The salmon was extremely salty--more like salt fish than anything enjoyable. The cabbage? Also overly salty. And the "mac and cheese"... I don't even know what that was. It looked like plain pasta with a yellow sauce. No creaminess, no baked texture, and the taste was slightly sweet in a strange way. The mac definitely wasn't macking. To make it worse, the food was cold. And I wasn't the only one--multiple people at the event were saying the same thing and talking about how bad the food was. That alone should be a sign that something needs to change. They have so many different tiki cocktails that you can choose from. They are mostly made of rum, but they have a few other ones that are made with different alcohols.
