This happens to be one of my favorite places to eat Jamaican fried chicken. Me and my family eat here almost every weekend. I don't mind the lines or the wait. The food is usually awesome. Also let me say that I've been eating here thru mgmt changes. Since 2017 I have been loyal; it's now 2024. In all honesty the food has improved. With all my heart I want to leave my fav spot the best review but today I called in an order for an all white meat fried chicken with white rice sauce on the side and salad. My first problem is when I got there, the woman at the front has a 2 minute convo with an employee before telling me that their credit payment system is down and can I go to the at the store next door to get change. I should've been told over the phone bc I called you +3.50 for something that could've been free. Let me also say that they been having problems over 6 months and off and on this is what they say so why not remind your clientele when the issue is current ?? 2nd issue is how the lady never showed me my food which is customary bc they don't accept returns and no refunds. As she tied up the bag I said, I have salad don't worry about it, I need to add dressing. Upon looking at my food I see chicken that is obviously not fresh and the nicest piece of chicken is a leg... there is an up charge for all white. What I should've received was a charge of around $15. For a mix of white and dark. Instead I was charged like $18 ... so in total I payed $6.50 more for my meal. Again food is great. Service not so much so. But sometimes we deal with a bit of bs for our palette. As far as ambience they have remodeled slightly and it's def clean always. You've been warned. Came here straight from the airport in need of some soup. Saw they were under new management with "better food". I must say, the customer service was TERRIBLE here, the food took so long to be served even though I ordered soup that was already made. The staff sat and chat with friends who were eating at their ordering counter. My experience would have been better if I was allowed to use their restroom, as I was waiting so long, but was told no public restroom. I tried to use the restroom in several establishments in the plaza but was denied. It's weird to me that this establishment will happily take my money but failed to offer a restroom for a guest. This restaurant is conveniently located on Redan Road. The parking lot can be a bit crowded at times, since the restaurant shares the lot with several other businesses. I have visited this restaurant several times since moving to the Metro Atlanta area. I always get the jerk chicken dinner or a beef patty. So far, they have been pretty consistent. The food has been quick, hot, and delicious each time I've visited. On Fridays, jerk wings are available as a daily special, which works great for me since I don't care for dark meat. The chicken has always been flavorful and the plantains have always been sweet. The cabbage can be a hit or miss though. That's the one item that doesn't always taste the same. read more

The food is inconsistent especially the cabbage, it's always under cooked but this time it was overcooked & extremely mushy. This is one of our favorite places to get Jamaican food; the wife absolutely has designated them her number 1 spot. Do know some of their dishes can come across a little spicy, but all of them will be full of flavor. I like that you can also buy grocery items from behind the counter as well. They keep the beverage coolers always stocked and they also have Jamaican flavored ice cream. I recommend the jerk pork, stew chicken or beef. The wife absolutely loves the oxtails. read more

I had very low expectations for the food here as I am always disappointed with the Jamaican restaurants in GA. In NY, you can throw a rick and hit a Jamaican restaurant and the food is usually good, here, not so much. However, this was really good. I went Sunday morning, got ackee & saltfish with yam, boil dumpling, boil banana and a small porridge. The ackee was so good it tasted like my moms. Pepper heavy/spicy. I can't think of another place here that I've tried with an authentic taste like this, and it was a large portion that took two sittings to eat. So worth the $15 spent on all of it. Also something to note, I always look at health scores wherever I go to eat. They had a 94 which shocked me as well. Most hole in the wall food places have lower to mid 80 scores and really don't care to do better because their food still sells. For me, how the food is prepared, how clean the business is matters just as much as how the food tastes. Nevertheless, this was out of my way a little but I'll be back to try other things when I don't feel like cooking. Very nice surprise. read more

The shrimp pasta was very dry! I asked for extra gravy on my vegetables and rice & they didn't put any on there. The rice was also very dry. Doesn't seem like authentic Caribbean food at all!!! Customer service was great but the food not so much. read more

This is the first time that I came to this restaurant and I must say that it is OUTSTANDING!!! The young lady that took my order was very warm and welcoming and thanked me for giving them a chance to impress. I ordered the jerk pork and it didn't take me very long to get my food and it was absolutely delicious, succulent, and not over the top spicy but very flavorful. Used to be a frequent customer. Quality of the food has fallen off over time. I continued to give a benefit of the doubt.... Until 12/23/22 when i Ordered a stew chicken meal. Realized the meat had an awful smell to it when i got home. It was tooo cold to take it back so in the trash it went. I am addicted to this place! The steamed fish is EXCELLENT!!! Every time I come here it is consistent...the food is deeeeeelicious and fresh. The portions are HUGE. I can never eat it all in one setting...the left overs are just as good. I highly recommend this place. I only wish it was somewhere to sit and eat this divine cuisine at the restaurant.
