The food is good, I love their shrimp fried rice. The price is pretty reasonable for the amount of food you get. The reason I gave it three stars is for the service. My waitress was too busy flirting with the group of men that were sitting a few tables down from us. I struggled to get her attention to just order. Ultimately I waited over 30 minutes before my food even arrived. I tried to complain to another waitress but that went no where. I went to the Mambos in Baytown and there service was great. I am one of the customer that coming backed here since grand opening. This last couple of time I went to have some of my favorite scampi or fried whole Tilapia. I notice that there are big changes on the price of the menu and the portion is less compared before. Also the service is getting worst. Do they still serve the crackers? Taste of the food is less flavor , I know what is missing," garlic" and I requested the add some but they never did. Condiments bottle and table are sticky and it feels like they never clean it. Like the commercial says "It's Mambo-Nifico!" Well in my opinion it really is. I have eaten at this location four times now. The food has been consistently fresh and delicious. The portions are huge and the quality is far more than you'd expect from a "budget" seafood restaurant. Their fried oysters are large and juicy. A hearty serving of their shrimp fried rice is served with practically everything on their menu and it is oh so tasty. On a recent visit, I tried their ceviche tostada and it made a perfect appetizer. Next time I might just order two and have it as a meal. Their lime margaritas are smooth and strong. I don't think they are made with tequila but whatever it is its good! They are also famous for their micheladas. Mambo is definitely on our dining out list! read more

I've been here too many times to count, and over the course of maybe 6-7 years, it's gotten much, much better. At first the servers were mostly Spanish-speaking only, which made it pretty hard to order, ask questions about the menu, etc, but the service has really improved. All the servers are fluently bilingual, and very friendly at that. Now the food; it's all delicious, seriously. The fried rice is better than most Chinese places, and their fried seafood is very tasty and golden to perfection. This was only our second visit to Mambo Seafood, as we don't live in the area but the great meal we had last time was met and exceeded. The fish ceviche was excellent and a great start to our meal. Ingredients were fresh with a good clean flavor with just enough kick. For our entrees, I had the fried shrimp with Mambo rice. The shrimp were lightly breaded and fried and very tender and the Mambo rice had plenty of shrimp and a good flavor. My husband had a very spicy octopus dish that was done in a dark sauce and served with onions, fresh cilantro and tortillas. Too hot for me, but he loved it and enjoyed the heat and said the octopus was very tender. All in all, a very enjoyable meal. read more

I can't recall the last time I ate at a Mambo's seafood but I'm glad I decided to check this place out. Due to the COVID-19 stuff I decided to place a curbside delivery order online. First thing that I liked was having the capability to actually order online. Many Mexican seafood places don't give that option, but i guess being that this is more of a chain that can explain why I had that option. The 2nd thing I liked was the pricing. Pricing was great for seafood. I ordered the fried fish and shrimp basked which came with a side of fried rice and a roll and it cost me $8 or $9, somewhere around there. Either way I thought that was really good pricing. The other dish I got was "Fish & Shrimp" for $11.99. Now, I don't know what happened here but I noticed when I got home that they did not provide the fish for the dish. Yeah I know, it's called "Fish & Shrimp" but I will let this slide for now. And the reason I am was because everything else was great except for this, and I didn't even bother calling Mambo's to give them a chance to correct it, so this time it's a pass. Even though the dish did not have the fish, we did get a LOT of shrimp and rice so we were satisfied. Third, when we got there curbside was quick and easy. Send a text with name and car and they come and drop off your food. That easy. Now, lastly the taste of the food. I honestly really liked it. I don't know about how "fresh" it really is, but I don't care, pricing and taste was great and you do get what you paid for. I really like their friend shrimp and the fish fillets were soft and the batter tasted good. The fried shrimp was great. But one thing to point out, the fried fish and fried shrimp were not necessarily crunchy but I was okay with that. Flavor was on point. Portion was good. The other dish's shrimp was tossed in a chipotle and that also tasted good. All in all, decent seafood, great price, and you're able to order only and curbside service was seamless. This place gets busy at lunch time. I always get the grilled fish fillet or the shrimp fried rice. When you get the rice you needs to tell them keep it to one scoop. Otherwise they'll get the snow shovel and pile it on. The regular rice is enough rice for 6 guys to eat. read more

Just went to Mambos seafood for the first time in years. The food was delicious, but more importantly the service was amazing. All of the servers walking by had smiles on their faces and that was 15 minutes before they were getting off. Still smiling and super helpful. My server was Carolina. She's was super attentive and such a sweet person. I ordered to go and she offered to come alert me when my food was ready. She ended up bringing my food to my car. If she only knew how appreciative I was for that because my feet were killing me from a long days work. I was so impressed by how I was treated. Truly wonderful experience. read more

We went there on a Sunday night, walked in, sat down and waited and waited for a waitress to come and take our drinks or introduce themselves, but no one ever did. I was contacted by the director of operations who made it a point to me and my family that they were very sorry for this incident and that he cared. They reacted swiftly and refunded me my money while also offering some Mambo gift cards. I initially didn't want a refund for the meal but for the overcharge but they insisted to refund me the full amount. I am really grateful for the way the Mambo's team handled the situation and expressed their concern. The food is still great and fast. The managers really do care about their customers. They also did let me know they reprimanded the person who did the overcharge. So there is no need to worry about others being affected the same way I had. read more

Absolutely the best fried rice from a chain restaurant. Order the fried rice by itself, so it is cooked to order and fresh. The fried rice that is included with platters is not nearly as good since it is precooked in large quantities. The rest of the food is good, not great.
