Visited here for the first time for a bday gathering on their patio and let me tell you the crawfish did not disappoint !! You can't get this taste in the galleria area where I live AT ALL! Omg a flavor like no other it had me going back for way more than the 3lbs i originally ordered. I can definitely see me driving 28 mins in heart beat just for the mud bugs here!! They should update their menu online as they do not sell margaritas any longer. Definitely a must try on the crawfish I didn't not try anything else but those !! read more

If you are ever in Houston and you want some good crawfish don't deal with anyone but Craven. The whole experience was great we had great cold beer and attentive waiter named Jesse he was super funny and charismatic. If you're stopping by you have to ask if he's working. I even got a couple minutes to talk to Ruben hes a big go getter and hustler and knows how to make some mean crawfish. read more

Craven Crawfish is a GEM on the East side of Houston! Family-owned and operated, it stands on Robert E. Lee RdI was eager to try their signature crawfish and boy was I in for a treat! Picked up 1 pound of the crawfish and jumbo shrimp and I will definitely be back. They offer great outdoor seating as well as a shack where you can enjoy their mounted wide screen TV. I'm extremely sad to write this post. I thought I found my spot and was sadly mistaken. I brought $51 worth of food and only ate two corn. IDK what's going on but I don't have that type of money to waste. The bbq was horrid. I got ribs, brisket and sausage. They forgot my sides and again it wasn't edible. I'm extremely confused as to why the ribs didn't have bones in it and the brisket looked left over from the day before. The wings looked like microwaveable wings in a TV dinner soaked in grease. The crawfish the $7 pd had no seasoning. I'm hoping this was just an off day but man it was a totally waste of money. read more

Found this little gem accidentally when trying to find another crawfish spot but I'm glad I did. It's different Louisiana style crawfish flavor that I've ever tasted. They have regular Louisiana style and there garlic butter flavor was amazing. It was 7.99 a pound and the sizes where decent for this time of the year. There staff was super nice and helpful. I was craving crawfish and the crawfish shack was sold out of everything! So i searched places up and had high hopes it looked like a good small place but NO I ordered extra spicy there was no spice AT ALL just butter I ordered both Cajun and craven flavors extra spicy but didn't taste a hint of spice I thought there was a mistake I told two workers and no one could help they just gave me more garlic sauce. Ordered spicy crawfish, were not spicy(at last to my standards, which is not high). Sausage was completely over cook and corn tasted like it was boiled in plain water, no seasoning at all. Shrimp were a little over cooked(hard to remove from shell). All in all, not worth 33 dollars for 2 lbs of crawfish and 1 lb of shrimp, with sausage and corn. read more

I went for the first time on national crawfish day and it was a chill experience. The shrimp are a must try. Omg! They are huge and full of flavor. I had a pound of crawfish and a pound of shrimp. Loved both. You have to pay for the corn, sausage and potatoes if you buy less than 5 pounds but I still think it is a good deal. I am going to be taking the kiddos there Saturday. read more

This place has THE best crawfish hands down. I have been to a lot of places really trying to find ones that I liked. My friend invited me here one day and now I am in love with this place. They have the traditional cajun flavor but for me the winner is the craven flavor. The flavor is literally one with the crawfish... After all of the mediocre crawfish I have had thus far this year I cannot believe how utterly flavorful their crawfish is.... sooooo good. They have something they call craven butter for dipping... totally delicious. The night I visited there was a margarita machine and they provided free margaritas with food purchase. Also It is byob so if margaritas aren't your thing you can bring your own booze. It is an outdoor eatery but it is covered. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. 1 star for poor customer service and poor communication. First time ordering over the phone. We were told our order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. We got there, paid and were told it would be an additional 15 minutes because they ran out and were working on making another batch. 25-30 minutes later, we ask an employee if she could check on our order. She said she would, but never came back. We stood in a line that had 5 people ahead of us to once again ask about our order. Finally, we were told "oh it's going to be a while, the crawfish are being soaked right now.. you wanna wait or get your money back?" They never apologized for the inconvenience because believe it or not, a SIMPLE APOLOGY goes a long way. I mean even being honest and letting us know it would be a while before we get our order from the moment that we got there would have been okay. Anyways, we got our money back. And it just so happened that the lady that was parked next to us, which by the way was there way before us, got her money back in disappointment as well. I sent a message to the FB page to inform the manager, owner, whoever about our experience and the excuse we got was that the staff was overwhelmed with the amount of phone orders they were receiving. With that said, we will stick to Dan's Seafood on Uvalde for our crawfish fix. We ordered from Dan's after having this bad experience and the owner even thanked us for our business! read more
