For years we have been searching for a good set of dining chairs to replace the worn ones at our dining table. It's a bit like the story of the three bears - quality varied greatly from place to place, either quality was too low or prices too high, or the style just didn't work wherever we went. Then one day, we happened to find the time and purely on happenstance on our morning walk, we wandered on in here to find a set of chairs that matched our existing table at a price that seemed quite reasonable after discount. Our shopping experience was low key.. we wandered in, looked all around for maybe 15-20 minutes and once we found what we liked, we actually had to flag down a salesperson to initiate the transaction. We never felt pressured at all during the whole time. The Delivery - PRO TIP WARNING: As Murphy's Law dictates, I happened to mistakenly schedule the furniture delivery on a day and time that I would not be home. That would not be a problem, except that to reschedule a delivery, there is a $49 surcharge once scheduled.. However, I called the delivery center to explain my situation, and the delivery came early on the scheduled day BEFORE I had to leave for my other appointment. BRAVO! Overall - 4.5 stars - a half star off for the mandatory penalty charge to reschedule a delivery. Again, they made every effort to show up early ahead of my other time commitment and like in the Olympics, they PLANTED the landing! And oh yes, the dining new chairs are wonderful! - and guess what, the chairs REALLY are made in Denmark.. works for me!

Never shop at Sleep Number!! Would give zero stars if I could!…read more **Long post but if you are considering shopping there, please read and it will save you a major headache** ***This is in regards to the sleep number in Oakridge mall but also to Sleep Number as a whole*** I went into sleep number to look at possibly buying a bed in December. At the end of our visit, we decided it wasn't financially possible at the time and instead decided to purchase two pillows. The salesman was extremely pushy and did not really listen to anything I said about why it's not a good time for me to make this commitment, which really left a bad taste in my mouth. Once he found out we were not going to buy a bed, his whole demeanor changed and he started acting like we were wasting his time. I could already tell they only cared about sales and not about customer service. But regardless, I purchased two pillows that would be shipped to me. Fast forward a few weeks and we receive the pillows, only they are the wrong size. I told told the salesman multiple times I had a full size bed but he ordered me two king pillows that would not fit and cost way more money. Once we received the pillows, I went back in for an exchange for the correct size. There were 3 people working there, all of which, we're just sitting around and for the most part ignored me when I walked in. The same salesman I interacted with before helped me with this but was not happy to see I wanted to do an exchange but him and the manager grumbled through and did it anyways. Fast forward two more weeks and I yet again get the wrong pillows! This is now the second time the same salesman messed up my order. I was so over it at this point and I just wanted my money back. So I went back in yesterday and spoke with a different sales person to find out that they do not do returns on bedding and all she could do is an exchange. I was never once told this before purchasing the pillows. Only after I swiped my credit card and a receipt printed out, on the second page, there was a disclaimer saying I can't return them. Since this information was kept from me until I made the purchase, this is a clear lie of omission. The salesperson gave me a customer service number to call. So I go home and wait on the line for roughly 35 minutes until a woman answers. I tell her that they messed up twice, I never once used the pillows, I was never told they could not be returned, and that I want my money back. She then told me she couldn't do anything about it unless I wanted to do an exchange. She essentially said that their two mistakes would just be something I have to deal with. I told her to give me someone above her to speak to. She then put me on hold and 5 minutes later came back and told me she talked to them and they won't do it. At this point, I'm pretty upset because these were their mistakes!! This is awful customer service and they are showing their true colors. I told her that is unacceptable, I need to talk to them directly, and I do not appreciate them being so dismissive of me. She then said that she would transfer me. She transferred me to a number that would never be answered and all I could hear was static. After waiting on the line for roughly another 45 minutes (1 hour and 16 minutes later), the call ended. They never had any intention of actually listening to me, helping me, or correcting their mistake. I learned that all they care about is the sale! I went back into the store after this and yet again the employees are just sitting around in the back of the store. I had to walk up to them and get their attention . I was happy to see that the manager was there. He did not get up from sitting as I proceeded to tell him everything that happened. However, all he said was nope I'm not going to do a return for you, it's or policy. I told him that it was them who messed up twice and that should not be on me! He told me I already got my one free exchange and he won't do anything else for me (even though both the salesperson and the customer service woman both said they could). Notice how he said won't and not can't. He absolutely had the power to do this for me but chose not to. I told him that the reason I came in here was to buy a mattress and a base costing roughly $7,000 but after seeing how they treat their customers, I will never do business here. They lost out of a much larger sale and a potentially for-life customer over $200. They do not care about you or what you want as long as they can make a sale. They willl treat you very well but once your card is swiped, they will treat you like trash. I really hope no one else ever shops here. I wish I could say it was one person but every single person I interacted with (both in the store and on the phone) never had any intention of actually helping me out. I hope I can stop just one person from ever shopping there.

Cody promised me he'd beat any deal online. He swore by the service, saying if anything was wrong they will right the ship. He was doing his job and selling me hard and fast. He offered me a $1,000 discount, free white glove delivery service ($650), and a free pillow. The catch: The chair wouldn't be delivered for 2 weeks. I asked Cody to confirm the delivery date. He said it would definitely be there in by 11/11. He said that I could come in daily and use the chair *WARNING: Here's the BIG problem I ignored. * Cody said there might be a problem getting the chair because he didn't see one in the warehouse. I offered to buy the chair he had on the floor, but he said no. He then said there was one in the warehouse but it was marked as defective/RMA. Eventually he said he found one, so we completed the sale. I left the store with my pillow in tow. I wanted a Tempurpedic pillow, but he talked me out of that too. I visited the store maybe twice in the 14 days I was waiting for my $11k massage chair. Each time the other floor sales guy ignored me and Cody's "nice-happy to help" sales guy mask came off. Cody was impatient with me, which was weird, since each time I was in the store, I made a purchase. Crazy right? Delivery Experience (Terrible) I never asked Cody for delivery updates. I just trusted him that it would arrive as promised. It did not. Cody called me on 11/11 asking if the delivery guy reached out to me, to which I responded no because he hadn't. The order was now late, so I cancelled it on 11/11 at 7:13pm via an online request to cancel. Rob Walker calls me after hours to try to save the sale. Make no mistake about it! I noticed the chair was already unboxed and was defective. He unloads it in my place, and leave. I go ask him to plug it in to make sure it at least works. He plugs it in, the light comes on, so he says "It works!" while running out of the door without doing a test run. Juan said "If there's a problem, you can just call the store." After I insist, he agrees to do a test run. The feet attachment moves. He said okay it works and leaves again. *Well the rest of the chair didn't work. $11k dollars, 2 weeks later & time wasted.* I believe they sold me the defective chair Cody said was in the warehouse. At 4:35pm, I call the store immediately. Cody asks me to do a bunch of troubleshooting things I've already done, and then tells me he's on his way. I don't want this. I ask to have Juan take the chair back but he insists he wants to check it for himself. Same result. I ask them to take the chair back but they want to keep trying to figure out the problem. On 11/13, Rob admits neither of them know anything about the chair because it's so new. Now it overheats. I mention to Rob and Cody that I didn't really get the $1,000 discount Cody offered. They both refused to honor it, and maintain their deceitful sales practices. I cancel, ask them to remove the chair since it's not working and refund me my money. To keep an unsatisfied customer out of the store away from potential customers, they gave my refund check to Juan to deliver to me. Never knew Jacki til this review. I hope my review helps you get a better deal/service from them. It's wild how they attack you because you gave them feedback on an experience they created for you, instead of fixing their problems. Very little information about the smaller company online, but working with Cody - who is awesome (and amazingly patient) by the way - he guided me to probably the best chair in the world for me. I bought the chair ~3 months ago but am just now reviewing it, and I love it. Thanks for all your help Cody, I'm glad I took the risk on this unmarketed chair thanks to you steering me to it! As an addendum, I normally leave reviews on Google and then copy/paste the same one to Yelp whenever I have a good experience with a company. I'm glad I never looked this place up on Yelp before I went because I would have been dismayed by all the 1-star reviews.
