Authentic, delicious Chinese food! The store is quite quiet but have a decent amount of seatings. The old man was nice and ordering was straightforward. I got their lunch special of Mongolian beef (around $11) that come with a soda and rice. For rice, you can choose plain or fried rice and I picked fried rice. Their Mongolian beef is not watery or bland and has a spicy kick. It is delicious and great price for the meal.

It's been a little while since I dined here so I decided to give it a go today for lunch. I ordered the sweet and sour pork lunch which came with soup, fried rice, pork, and fried wontons. I actually loved the wontons, they were light and crispy and I could have eaten double the amount. I usually don't even bother when those come to the table but these were yummy! I enjoyed everything I ate and the service was speedy and very friendly. Food was reasonably priced as well. I will say the interior is a bit rough around the edges but it didn't bother me much. The bowl that the pork was served on was pretty beat up, lots of chips around the rim, so that's something I think they could benefit from is new dish-ware. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would dine again.

Best Cantonese Chinese food in the Bay Area! We are from San Jose and we've been coming here for years. We make the drive over the hill to satisfy our cravings. The food is THAT good. It's a small mom and pop shop but service is always great! The mom and dad are very wholesome people. Food is always consistent and cooked with a lot of love. Highly recommend!!

From the outside it does not look like much but I was surprised the food was very good, it tasted fresh just made and flavorful. The ambiance is nothing fancy very basic but good food and prices were ok.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Santa Cruz! Authentic, locally owned, and way less expensive than other options.

Pearl Bay has high ceilings and a gigantic screen, and it seems like a lot of wedding banquets take place here. They have a hot deal weekday special that's $488 for a table of 10-12, and it was a lot of food. I think they limit it to a few tables a night. Service was not bad - they refilled ice water multiple times, which was surprising for a Chinese restaurant. That said, it would have been nice if they had actually announced what dishes we were getting. The menu included: - Chicken soup - Stir fried beef with vegetables - Cold marinated chicken and geoduck - Fish maw with pea sprouts and shiitakes - Fried egg tofu - Steamed fish - Twin lobsters with vermicelli - Suckling pig with steamed buns - Fried rice The highlight was the fish roe fried rice: great texture and flavor. Other things were variable in flavor. For example, the lobster was good, but the vermicelli texture and flavor were lacking. The banquet menu we got was good value and was more than enough food. I am definitely interested in trying their weekend dim sum.

They're upholstered in fabric that looks pretty old and worn, which takes away a bit from the otherwise comfortable dining space. That aside, my husband and I really enjoyed the two dim sum dishes we ordered: siu mai and har gow. The har gow in particular was delicious. This is one of those dishes that can easily taste a little "boring" when it's not done well, but Sifu Wong nails all the flavor components. You get the sweetness of the shrimp along with sesame oil and ginger, all wrapped in that perfectly delicate, translucent wrapper. The siu mai was also solid and something I'd happily order again. The half duck was an unbeatable deal at around $24. It comes with that familiar savory sauce you typically get when ordering roast duck from a Chinese grocery store or specialty shop, and for the portion and price, it's hard to complain. We also tried the beef chow fun with black bean sauce, which was a little different from the standard beef chow fun I usually order. It's lighter in color with a wetter, saucier texture, but still tasted good nonetheless. I enjoyed it, although I'd probably stick with the traditional beef chow fun next time. Overall, Sifu Wong serves up solid, satisfying Chinese food at reasonable prices with plenty of variety on the menu. There are already a few dishes I'd happily order again, and I'd definitely come back to explore more of their dim sum offerings.

It's a good thing we did because the restaurant filled up completely 5 minutes after ordering. The inside of the restaurant is clean and modern, they have some art up on the wall that was cool to look at. The food was definitely the star though. We tried the BBQ pork and shrimp noodle rolls. Both were really good but my favorite was still the shrimp. I loved the veggies in the roll too. They can be a bit hard to pick up and eat because they're massive and cut into thirds. Other than that, the rice noodles are thin and silky and hold the sauce nicely. The sauce is also delicious. We also ordered the fish congee which was simple but comforting. It comes out PIPING hot so don't burn your tongue. Fish was tender and flavorful. Overall no complaints and the service was quick. Highly recommend!

For anyone coming, the parking can be really bad as it shares probably 20 or so spots with several other restaurants. It's near impossible to park nearby with the alternative of parking near the Panera's or even the target. There's plenty of tables and seats inside, and it was pretty slow when we dined in. Convenient televisions on two different sides where all the workers were casually watching, and quite the chatter in the kitchen where they're all watching the World Cup. That doesn't really affect service however as they're quite attentive when called for. We ordered the salted fish and chicken fried rice, and the medium bbq platter with char sound soy sauce chicken. All very delicious! The only thing is that they can bit on the pricier side with $20 for the fried rice and $30 for the bbq plate. My brother and I met a few friends here for dinner on 11/28/2025. At around 7:15pm, the place was completely full. Fortunately, our friends arrived a little earlier and secured a table. The interior was clean. A couple TVs on the walls were showing different sporting and news programs. Their menu featured a wide array of non-Americanized Cantonese fare. We decided to do family style and got half a dozen dishes to share. They were: Beef Filet with Mixed Mushrooms, 1lb of BBQ Pork, Fujian Fried Rice, Beef Chow Fun with Gravy, House Pan Fried Noodles, and Salted Pork Bone and Peanut Porridge. Our food arrived in about 15 minutes. Overall, I was impressed by quality and authenticity. Despite the slightly higher price point comparing to other similar restaurants, they didn't skimp on anything. The rice and noodle dishes were loaded with delicious toppings, and the taste was on point. The BBQ pork and the beef filet dish were both fantastic. The meat/fat ratio of the BBQ pork was just right, and the beef filet cubes were tender and flavorful. The porridge was just okay. My mom's version still reigns supreme. Service we received was very good. Our server was very friendly and gave us helpful suggestions. She did forget our iced water, but I am willing to overlook that. I got a chance the chat with staff before we left, they were all very genuine and friendly people. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience here.
