General Tso's Chicken
Mr Philosopher ..

If you ever feel incredibly hungry and need a huge meal, this place is for you then. I've been coming here for many years now, first as kid with my family and now as an adult with my friends. The food here overall is pretty good, great General Tso chicken and great Jasmine tea! Tho I must emphasize that they have raised their prices up recently, which honestly I don't blame them, many privately owned restaurants had to do recently. But of course the portions you get is well worth the price.

Mandarin halal Chinese restaurant has great food. There soups are really good. Definitely the best halal soups in DMV area. I usually get chicken corn soup. Spicy wings and chilly chicken with rice. Yum yum yum!!!!

The server and staff were extremely rude. She was complaining to us how she has had enough for the day. We asked for a plastic to go box and she said they charge 1.50 for it. It's sad cuz it's always the "halal" places that do such things. It's not about the petty cash, but the attitude. She tells us, my customers come from two hours away. Like we have no value. Definitely not going back there.

Hunan fish

I really like Mandarin. My mom had our family and extended family over for dinner here not too long ago and everything went well. The fish here is exceptional no matter how it is cooked. We really liked the Hunan style. The Mongolian beef and Hakka (very spicy) noodles were also favorites. We did not however like the Kung Pao Shrimp. it was cooked in a syrupy sweet sauce unlike we have ever had before. No one ate it and when a staff member noticed the uneaten portion, she offered to have it replaced with another option, so we ordered another portion of the Mongolian beef since everyone liked it so much. A pitcher of soda is $6, the food is moderately priced, but delicious. There is something for everyone on the menu!

I came here with a group of 8 on a Saturday night, it wasn't busy at all so we were seated rather quickly. Overall, I really liked this place and would come back again, however there were a few things that I did not like. First, the restaurant was a little dirty, even though they cleaned our table it still felt sticky. Second, I wish our waitress would have told us that we were ordering too much food because we didn't realize how huge the portion sizes were. I'd recommend the General Tso's, sweet and sour chicken and hot and sour soup. The spicy chicken wings didn't have any flavor,

Where should one go if they want the most tender of lambs with food the slaps the living out of…read moreyou? There are many answers but the answer for today is Marib. Marib is a Yemeni restaurant located in a strip of restaurants and grocery stores originating from different parts of the world. Marib knows how to do their lambs. Ordered the hummus with lamb and it came with a crisp yet fluffy bread. Then ordered a Lamb Haneeth and let me tell you NOT ONLY the lamb is tender but the rice is so flavorful! I come here quite regularly and will keep on doing that. Umar approved. 4.5/5

This was my first experience at a Yemeni restaurant, and it turned out to be an incredibly pleasant and flavorful introduction. We were served half a lamb, head included, laid beautifully on a large platter of rice. But first, the restaurant itself. It was refreshing to see a place that uses real cutlery, proper plates, and actual tablecloths. I much prefer tables and chairs over booths, which often give off a fast-food chain vibe. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, though there was some drilling and repair work going on--likely related to safety or exit signage--so that's understandable. Now to the food. The rice was fluffy and deeply infused with flavor from the lamb, clearly absorbing the richness of the long, slow cooking process. The broth had rippled into the rice, creating an incredible depth of taste. If you've had biryani, this was somewhat similar, but with its own distinct character. The lamb itself was exceptionally tender--falling off the bone and melting in the mouth. For anyone who usually avoids lamb due to its strong aroma, this dish is a must-try; there was no overpowering "lamb smell" at all. The meal was accompanied by a fresh salad and two side sauces--one tomato-based and another green sauce that was extremely spicy, so proceed with caution. The mint lemonade deserves a special mention: easily the best I've had. Not overly sweet, clearly made from fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced. We ended the meal with tea and a warm dessert that was buttery, comforting, and topped with cream--an excellent finale. This was a completely new culinary experience for me, and I left the restaurant feeling like my palate had leveled up. Highly recommended--definitely a place worth checking out

I got the chicken shawarma bowl. The roasted cauliflower was definitely the best part of the bowl! The mint lemonade was also AMAZING and one of my favorite things I ordered. We all were so full by the end of our meal but wish we didn't so we could have more. You can tell everything is made in house with so many veggie toppings which I love!! You can get as much toppings as you want, either into a wrap, bowl, or salad. 10/10 recommend!! We also tried the cookies. She said to give them 6 or 8 minutes (can't remember) and they will be ready. Cookies are fresh fresh and always warmed up per order. They were perfect.
