My cousin and I were visiting Santa Monica for a week. We ordered from this restaurant 3 DAYS IN A ROW! The food WAS SOO GOOD that we had to come back. The customer service was incredible as well. We were greeted with the upmost kindness! We felt right at home. We ordered the sesame chicken, lo mein, and shrimp shumai, and crab rangoon. & got exactly that everytime. BEST SESAME CHICKEN I EVER HADDDD!

This restaurant is close to our place and has become a go-to when we want inexpensive and quick Chinese. It's not premium quality, but not bad and the price can't be beat.

Mandarin Chinese & Japanese was really nice low key spot on pico. The people inside were really nice and patient and did a good job of recommending some things. It gave off an authentic Chinese restaurant except you can't eat in. The orange crispy shrimp was really awesome the sauce and texture was amazing. It gave off an orange chicken feel but it was shrimp and I enjoyed it a lot. Would definitely recommend. The sweet and sour chicken was good but it definitely could have been seasoned a bit more. The sauce does a good job at carrying the meal itself. The Cream cheese wontons are always great every where they same applies here really solid. /5

I was actually quite impressed by this place. It's a very unassuming place located off of Pico in Santa Monica. It's located near a donut shop and laundromat. If I ever have another craving for Chinese food, this will be my pick! Here's the rundown: Park: ample Service: very friendly and quick Price: slightly cheaper than what I've seen; however, be aware that no entrees come with rice. You have to purchase rice separately but we ordered a large for $1.95 to share Taste: very good! I was also impressed they didn't skimp on the protein! We got a good amount of protein and vegetables! Also nothing was greasy.

I had a very late night craving for some Chinese food and found this family business on Yelp! They were about to close in less than 30 minutes but were super kind to take our order for pick up. Much to our surprise the food was incredibly delicious! I paid for a water which I forgot to grab and this morning no questions asked they told me it was forgotten and I went back to grab it. I ordered the Orange beef, shrimp rice for my friend and a chicken with string beans. Absolutely delicious and so much food! Free parking on the lot.

We are new to the area by way of NYC! My daughter has been missing NYC and so sad we haven't food places that she really likes yet. It's been tough! She dislikes PE and so happy we found this spot! I saw it driving by and thought we could give it a try. It is a take out only place and the service was so friendly. Food was a good salt level and not too oily like most. It took them 10-15 mins to cook up our order. It was tasty and reminded us of that familiar feeling of home (NYC). We ordered: Beef Lomein - we love our noodles! Chicken Fried Rice - perfectly cooked rice and texture was on point Sweet and Sour Pork - this was good and not so salty, came with pineapples, onions and peppers. It comes with the red sweet and sour sauce to pour on your own. Egg Flower Soup (Egg Drop) - this was nice and light not thick/starchy like other take out places. Crispy noodles are our favorite to add. Almond Cookies - have always loved these since I was young. They came as a pack of 10 individually wrapped. Fortune cookies are always a plus! Well, we will be back! Thank you!

Ordered delivery multiple times. Very fast and delicious. Highly recommend the lo mein noodles, eggplant, ma po tofu, walnut shrimp and green beans.

The shrimp fried rice was super dry, the only thing that had flavor was the shrimp. I was worried that the orange chicken was listed as hot. It was not hot at all, it BARELY had any flavor. Finally the beef and broccoli was the absolute worst thing we ordered. The sauce was, for a better word, watery. The beef had no flavor, broccoli was fine..yipee. At least the fortune cookies were good. Psssht. I wish I had looked at the reviews more carefully. When a place gets several five stars in the same day or for several days in a row it definitely is a red flag for fake reviews, and now that I am looking through the reviews for this place, lots of red flags.

The fish was tender, sauce yummy, veggies fresh! It was excellently prepared. Husband and Wife beef and tripe slices was another outstanding dish. It was so good I had to order more rice to eat with it therefore happily broke my diet again. Steamd eggplant with pickled condiment on top tended to be on the salty side, it was soft and tasty. I loved it! Service was lukewarm at best. The girl performed her service in a convincingly nonchalant way. It is located right between Coco Ichibanya and 10 speed so I would opt to try to find street parking in the neighborhoods just behind the restaurants or metered parking on the main road -- this can get tricky during peak hours though. You have the option of ordering from a tablet right at the front if you're just planning to do take out! It was relatively empty when we got there so we were seated right away and placed our orders with a QR code. Our server was there by herself around 5:30 but the food was prompt with coming out. Portions were HUGE to be honest for the price relative to what you usually expect these days in the LA. - Popcorn chicken: came out piping hot and freshly fried, nice aroma from the fried basil. Solid spot if you're craving Chinese popcorn chicken - Woodear: surprisingly had a nice spicy kick from the chilies, no complaints! - Beef noodle soup with spicy: only a very subtle mala flavor but broth was beefy, noodles had great texture. Only lacking thing were pieces of beef were kind of small but otherwise I was very satisfied - If you spend over $50 you get a free dish (pork dumpling, xialong bao/soup dumpling, or spicy (saliva) chicken. Opted for the xiaolong bao which was okay... meat was on the leaner side and didn't taste fresh but the skin wasn't super overly thick and a decent amount of soup inside Overall, for the value and standard of Chinese food in the west LA area I would come back if I ever wanted something decent local to me! :)

Parking can be easy on the weekdays if you park in the adjacent neighborhood residential streets (watch for parking restriction signs to avoid getting any tickets). The downside to this place in my opinion is the automated "APP" ordering system using a QR reader menu and online ordering. I'd say it would be more personal to have a human being take orders and engage with customers who may have questions and create a friendly vibe. The staff were helpful and friendly, so that wasn't the problem, it's the lack of opportunity for engagement that I think would make this place a bit more warm and fuzzy feeling in atmosphere.

We went to Tasty Noodle House at around 2 pm and there was only one other customer there. We wanted to dine in. As you walk in there is a nice outdoor patio and a computer where you can order--maybe to go--I am not sure as I like the staff to take my order. We went in and wanted to sit on chairs that had some patting. We were told no, and moved to bench seating with wooden chairs on the other side. Most are like this. Now, again, there was only one customer there so I was not pleased to sit in such uncomfortable bench seating. It really hurt my back and bum. A server came and asked what we wanted, there were menus out and adverts for their special stuff. Well, what I asked for they no longer have. The next thing I asked for they no longer have. I ordered pork bums. They were awful. They had next to no pork and if I didn't know better I would think they were microwaved. They were not eatable. My husband got a meat dish that was to be spicy with broccoli. It was just okay. It was not spicy and was a very small dish. He also had Iced Tea which was watery and left untouched. The service was terrible. The server brought out my husband's dinner alone. We waited and he never appears and we had to get him and ask where is my food. Cooking he said. After at least 5 more minutes my buns came. We wanted to eat together. I told my husband to start or we would be there all day. There were at least 2 servers and not one checked on us at anytime. We finally had to get up and ask for the bill. It was so disappointing. I mean the food and the service was bad and most of the seating feels like a bus bench. We won't be back. Ever.
