I previously ordered the Pad Thai from here on DoorDash, and I absolutely hated it. I decided to give them another chance in person, thinking maybe in-house would be better, but it was just as horrible. It is incredibly frustrating because a restaurant should have consistency, but the food is simply not good in either option. This dish barely earns a C- rating. On top of the awful food, the dining area has a very small, to me, cramped atmosphere, and the service was incredibly slow throughout the entire visit. A restaurant needs consistency between its takeout and dine-in experiences to keep customers coming back, but unfortunately, this place misses the mark on both fronts. It was so fresh steam was coming from the noodles as I ate, I like that because it's a key indication that they just made it. I got a Thai tea which was only decent and the Mongolian beef as pictured was bland, tasted old and also the noodles were so soggy. It was inedible. The meat smelled weird. Curry is very watered down. Spoke to restaurant about the poor quality and if they'd remake it. They said they'll just make it the same way, then hung up. This is our second time ordering from here and the first time was better, this second order is nothing close to curry. DoorDash refunded order but we really just wanted some better curry. TS Thai is a small little eatery in Santa Monica. Parking is on the street or in the huge lot right across the street. It is easy to miss so look for the red curtain. Inside is nothing special, but it is very clean and the service is so great, you are happy you walked in. This is a family run business that really got hit by Covid, so they can use more walk ins. It looks like they have a ton of delivery, but we were seated right away at a very nice clean table and waited on like Kings since there was not that many people actually inside. The owner is just wonderful and the food is outstanding. Try their garlic noodles and Pad Thai. Both are great. We also had a wonderful fried rice with chicken and beef and it was so good. They give you a lot of food, and we were able to take some home. The bathrooms are spotless. The prices are really fair. We love it. Give them a try. read more

Unfortunately, I have to report this isn't the place for Thai food. It's run by a sweet elderly couple. I do think they are Thai, but I can confidently say they do not cook Thai food. I feel Annie Chun's would be more satisfying. The spicy red curry was watery (and not spicy). The beef in the spicy beef salad, was better. I did think their beef portion was the right amount, could have had a better sear. Would have liked a few more pieces of lettuce. My main issue was the dressing was just fish sauce, lacked palm sugar. It was also not spicy. I agreed with their white rice. My most agreeable friend who usually doesn't complain about any restaurant said the food was 'ok.' We parked in structure 9, which is close to this restaurant. 90 minutes free. The most violent case of food poisoning I've ever had in my life. My first mistake was ordering their seafood salad, they clearly do not maintain their seafood at the proper temperatures. I paid $17.95 for Mongolian beef - delivery. Typically from other venues you get so much food that you eat it over two days. I had never eaten at T's Tai and was above average hungry so I opted for the Mongolian beef as I knew from other places you get a large serving. Upon delivery I was shocked at the small serving size, smaller than a lunch special. The food came in a split plastic container; half with Mongolian beef and the other half crispy noodles. I counted five pieces of beef for $17.95. There was one green onion mixed with regular onions which I am not accustomed to. I'm not a glutton, but I definitely had buyer's remorse. I could understand if that was a $7.95 special. But for $17.95 that was a paltry portion not worth the price paid. Lastly, the flavor was bland. That was a one and done for me. read more

We ordered pad thai and pad see-ew (classic!) and they hit the triple-whammy - delicious, quickly prepared, and affordable!
