    Pad Thai

Pretty bad, sorry (not really). I got a PostMates deal that's why I figured I'd try this place again after 5 years. The Thai tea is ok(nothing special), but the Pad Thai is bad. It tastes super sour like extra vinegar was put in the noodles. Also there's no green onions, only rice noodle + pad thai sauce + some bean sprouts and chicken... It tastes like a mixture of instant pad Thai sauce you could get in the store + rice noodle that's it. No lime no green onions, it's lacking flavour and very plain yet super sour. Not coming back again, and I felt sorry for whoever paid full price to eat here because it ain't it.

It was awful. A slab of cold noodles that actually had a piece of of wood in it along with the 2 tiny pieces of chicken. The lard inedible didn't come with large Romain leaves to eat it in . Soup just threw it out ! I have never had such an awful experience . I'm

Literally the worst Thai food I've ever had. I felt bad but the food was not good. I got a Thai tea which was only decent and the Mongolian beef as pictured was bland, tasted old and also the noodles were so soggy. It was inedible. The meat smelled weird. We literally got a side of rice and crab rangoons only to eat which wasn't even good either. Will not be coming back. That was such a scary experience.

3.5 on taste alone but bumped up to 4 because I appreciate the convenience and decent priced availability T's Thai offers. As alluded to above, I didn't think the food was rave worthy (not to say that it was bad though). I ordered my usuals - pad Thai, pad see ew, and (red) curry. All tasted pretty good and better to have in the area than not in my opinion. I only did takeout, so cannot speak for the service or the ambiance.

Food is very delicious! I loved my pad Thai !! We'll definitely be back !! Thank you to my door dash driver Abel for being so fast !! Food was very hot

Curry is very watered down. Spoke to restaurant about the poor quality and if they'd remake it. They said they'll just make it the same way, then hung up. This is our second time ordering from here and the first time was better, this second order is nothing close to curry. DoorDash refunded order but we really just wanted some better curry. Pictures are of red and yellow curry....Chicken satay and pad Thai were good.

So glad I found a Thai restaurant nearby that doesn't over charge for being in Santa Monica. I got chicken pad Thai and Thai iced tea. The pad Thai was a bit too saucy but nonetheless it was still very good. Service was super fast and friendly. Everything looked very clean and I'm definitely coming back to try different dishes.

The food was decent, but the service could have been friendlier. The woman who served us was very serious. The place is small but clean.

TS Thai is a small little eatery in Santa Monica. Parking is on the street or in the huge lot right across the street. It is easy to miss so look for the red curtain. Inside is nothing special, but it is very clean and the service is so great, you are happy you walked in. This is a family run business that really got hit by Covid, so they can use more walk ins. It looks like they have a ton of delivery, but we were seated right away at a very nice clean table and waited on like Kings since there was not that many people actually inside. The owner is just wonderful and the food is outstanding. Try their garlic noodles and Pad Thai. Both are great. We also had a wonderful fried rice with chicken and beef and it was so good. They give you a lot of food, and we were able to take some home. The bathrooms are spotless. The prices are really fair. We love it. Give them a try.

They have varieties of lunch special. We ordered cashew nut pork and pad see wee lunch specials. They come with a side of salad and soup. They are so reasonable, filling and very tasty. Friendly service. We would definitely go back there to try other dishes for sure.

Got to go food, the tomyum soup was sour and reminded me of mama noodles! Would be good with rice or noodles added. The spicy Thai noodles were soft and a good consistency and the spicy beef salad had tender cuts of beef , both were a good level of spice for a person who likes spice

Unfortunately, I have to report this isn't the place for Thai food. It's run by a sweet elderly couple. I do think they are Thai, but I can confidently say they do not cook Thai food. I feel Annie Chun's would be more satisfying. The spicy red curry was watery (and not spicy). The beef in the spicy beef salad, was better. I did think their beef portion was the right amount, could have had a better sear. Would have liked a few more pieces of lettuce. My main issue was the dressing was just fish sauce, lacked palm sugar. It was also not spicy. I agreed with their white rice. My most agreeable friend who usually doesn't complain about any restaurant said the food was 'ok.' We parked in structure 9, which is close to this restaurant. 90 minutes free. Santa Monica is a wonderful place to visit while in LA.

Pros: + Good service + Clean place + Lots of vegetarian and vegan options + The Thai Fried Chicken was delicious and balanced! + Food presentation was excellent Cons: - Food was dry. - The Endive Cups were dense and needed some sauce. - The Mung Bean Croquette - although not bad - felt more like a fast food item; it too was dry and although the sauce and presentation were nice, it's not something to re-order. - The Meang Kham wasn't bad either, I appreciated the different flavors but for the price - as an appetizer - no. - The biggest negative were the prices. They were set as upscale, and fine dining, but the place was just average and the foods - at least what we ordered - not that good. Granted there were many options and the others might have been better, but I get the feeling this place is more about the food presentation rather than the quality of the food focused. For ~$100 (3 appetizers and 1 main entree) I left somewhat hungry. I feel there are hole-in-the wall vegan/vegetarian places that would be much better. It's a nice place but it's more show than substance (given the costs). 3.5/5

I came here for a birthday brunch with some friends and our experience here was great. To share, we had the following dishes: -Curry Puffs: Crispy and yummy. It was like a savory fried donut. I also liked the pickled onions and tamarind ketchup it came with as well. Kind of pricey for $7 a puff though. -Cobi's Fried Chicken: Solid fried chicken. The meat was moist and I also enjoyed the crispy and crunchy fried chicken. The tangy and sweet flavor was yummy. -Chicken Satay: Moist chicken covered in a creamy and flavorful sauce. Delicious! -Nasi Goreng: Pretty standard and tasty. It paired well with the other dishes. While I would've preferred all the dishes to be spicier, everything was still pretty good! The prices are also good considering the area and this being a nicer restaurant. I also really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. It was super cute and the atmosphere was pretty. The service was attentive. A downside is that I made the reservation for my birthday and I saw another table receive a complimentary birthday dessert while mine didn't :( I recommend making a reservation in advance online via Resy which is what I did. For parking, there's garage parking you can pay for as well as metered street parking. No validation unfortunately :/ Overall a great experience here and I would add this spot to my rotation.

If you are coming to Cobi's for the most mind blowing bites, I kindly suggest looking elsewhere. Diving right in, the ora king salmon is nothing to write home about and could be made at home so that was a pass. The curry puffs were the highlight of the night! Two samosas that came hot with lovely tamarind ketchup and pickled onion to cut the heaviness. While I pleasantly enjoyed this, I am reminded that many and I do mean many indian restaurants serve this at a lower price with the same delivery of flavor. Moving forward for the mains: the beef rendang, butter chicken, and nasi goreng (pork belly added for +8$ whew) were just...lacking in flavor. At first I had thought we ordered all the wrong things but recalled the waiter quite joyously telling me that these were all the favorites. The beef rendang was pre-shredded which was a different take. Even pre-shredded could not hide how dry it was. Even with the sambal and gulai on the side. The addition of gulai was perplexing as well but nonetheless it did not really add anything to the dish as a whole. The butter chicken had nothing on the numerous indian restaurants I have the pleasure of eating at as well. The nasi goreng was oily and the pork belly chunks were so fatty and hard it was just unpleasant to eat overall. Overall, everything was just lacking and fell flat. The presentation was lovely but in terms of flavor it was a miss for me. I'd like to believe it was just an off day and would love to venture in once again to retaste but being on the michelin guide for four years consecutively makes me wonder. Service was lovely and we were checked up upon many times. The interior is very rustic and feels like home. For those that are nosy (like me) the tables are quite close together so be ready to hear other conversations hehe. There is no dedicated parking and it is santa monica so you can either park on the street or find a structure and walk! I must admit I had quite high expectations, especially for this type of cuisine. I was left wanting much more and thinking of other places that do every dish I had better and for cheaper. Final Verdict: A pass for me!
