This place is horrible DO NOT EAT HERE I GOT FOOD POISONING TWICE FROM HERE!!! It isn't a joke at all, I live close to this place and I just ordered delivery out of convenience 3 months apart from the first and second order, and the same thing happened. I couldn't stop throwing up for 2 days and I was stuck in the bathroom for the 2 days I was vomiting uncontrollably. Finally I had to see this place so I walked by one day and the man cooking the food was sweating like he was in the sauna, He had no knit hat on or any hat, and NO GLOVES! So there was my proof right in front of me why I was so sick both of those times. Disgusting! Do yourself a favor and take this advice. I called to check up on the order an hour later someone answers says it's on the way I call back almost 40 mins later and it was a pick up order not delivery very disappointed, clearly stated that it was a delivery because I let them know my address an phone number. read more

This place has been around forever. I've been going there of and on for a very long time and I don't recall ever getting a bad meal. Food has always been quality and fresh. Their online ordering/tracking system is convenient, however my last experience with it was an absolute disaster. I decided to check out their menu online. My wife and I decided on a 2 pizza order. When I placed the order, I was immediately prompted on whether or not I would be tipping the delivery driver. I answered yes to that option and opted to tip the driver $4.00 on my $20.58 order plus tax. Also, the order already included a $1.75 delivery fee ( which I assume automatically goes to the driver anyway). When the driver arrived he told me that the total was $27 and change. I put the pizza in my kitchen and returned to the front door to pay. I gave him $28 and reminded him that it includes his tip. Guy shakes his head no, gave me a dirty look and suggested that I didn't give him enough money. At that point I figured that I inadvertently gave him $27 by accident. Oops, I went into the house and grabbed some more cash. Only had a ten dollar bill so I asked him to give me all the cash back so I could get it sorted. At this point he hands me $28. Hmm that's strange. He just told me the bill was $27 and change and I gave him $28??? So I give him the $28 back..... "Here you go buddy", "here's your $28 bucks" Still, this guy is staring me down as if I'm trying to rip him off. "Look man, I explained that you're tip is included. Now he's holding my door open and being really creepy. Last I checked, a gratuity was an option so even if I didn't tip him (which I did) the amount that I gave him still covered total of the bill. Plus he would still get the delivery fee. I actually had to go and retrieve the receipt and physically point out that the tip was already factored into the bill before he would leave. I was so angry at this point I was screaming at him to leave. He did apologize as he was walking away but it was too little to late. I was furious. I have only ever picked up pizza for takeout and ordered by telephone. They have a great deal -- two 2-topping 12-inch pizzas for $6.99 each. Just ask for it when you order. I had asked for my last meal to be ready for 6:30. When I picked up the pizza at exactly 6:30 -- thank you, Google Maps -- the order was ready and hot. The receipt made it clear they have a system for having something ready at a time you specify, which is nice. I can call in the order before I leave work and have it hot and ready at the right time when I get near home. As for the pizza, the crust is thin and they know how to make it taste the way it should. It's the best cheap pizza I've had in Lynn so far -- except for perhaps the former Papa Gino's. (To be fair, Papa Gino's is more expensive than Mandee's.) I'm not sure there is any seating at all here. Even if there were, it's very small and you wouldn't want to dine in. read more

Mandee's is THE pizza joint of Lynn. You can't really take a group there and hang around,but at least they accept cards over the phone. (which even in stores on on phones is a rarity in Lynn) I always get the Hawaiian Pizza and any sub there is what all american sandwiches are all about. And whatever you do, don't discount that pita option!!! They use the freshest fluffiest pitas this side of Syria. Get a steak and cheese on one and it will heat up the pita just so you'll have it all eaten before you know it. read more

When it comes to a pizza delivery place, this is what I want: -Decent pizza, with a nicely chewy hand tossed crust -fast delivery -fresh & varied toppings -fast delivery -reliable service -fast delivery This isn't a night out with white tablecloths, or even a beer with a crisp wood-fired goat cheese, carmelized onions & fig-pesto jam or whatever pizza at a casual restaurant, it's pizza on the couch because my kitchen is in the middle of a remodel and I have no countertop or sink. Mandee's makes a fine traditional pizza with plenty of quality fresh toppings available, and they deliver it FAST. I live at least a couple miles from their Lynn location, and they usually get my order to me in, and I kid you not, under 20 minutes. They've broken the 15 minute mark a couple of times. They've never gotten my order wrong, and the few problems have been the result of my difficult to find address - easily rectified because the driver takes the time to call. Speed is of the essence with this stuff - not only is the pizza steaming itself into flaccid sogginess in that insidious cardboard box, but dammit, I'm hungry now! They also carry a full line of typical New England sub shop sorts of dishes, if you are into that sort of thing. Try the fried eggplant (homemade, not defrosted) on a pizza - because you just can't go wrong with a pizza with fried food on top. read more

The reviews below are all spot on. I've always gotten delivery, so I can't comment on the store itself. The woman who answers the phone is always sweet and helpful. The choice of toppings is pretty standard, cheeseburger and fried eggplant are indeed quite good. What sets this place apart from the others is the amount of toppings they put on their pizzas--I ordered a sausage and mushroom, and it was LOADED with meat. I have never seen another place stuff their pizzas with this much toppings. Delivery really is as fast as people say. The first time, I ordered 12 pies a couple of hours ahead, and the delivery happened at the time I requested. 20 minutes later, I realized I didn't have enough pizza, so I frantically called in and ordered 7 more pies. The woman told me they would get the pizzas made and delivered as fast as they could--the delivery guy arrived 30 minutes after I made the order. It doesn't get much better than that. read more

Usually good and fast. But, the last time we ordered there was a problem with one of the cars and they called to say they would be late. What they didn't tell us was that the pizza would be stone cold! We decided to give them another chance. Waited about 45-60 mins and once again -- stone cold. Sure, there was a football game on, but if they couldn't deliver the product in a timely manner they should have told us. After all they are not the only game in town!! Ordered a 'meat and veggie' calzone at 1030pm because our usual place (Fauci's) was closed. They weren't sure what we meant so we explained, italian coldcuts with tomato sauce and veggies (broccoli, spnach, onion, etc). and they made it for us and delivered it. Wow. Absolutely the best calzone we've ever had! Not greasy at all,meat and veggies were perfectly cooked, broccoli NOTmushy, and melted cheese ontop. Guess we have a new 'usual' place!! A few days ago, around 11 pm, we had a hankering for a calzone. We called a couple of pizza places and got nowhere as they didn't answer the phone. We decided to give Mandee's a try as we had purchased pizzas there before and they were very good. The person that answered the phone was somewhat confused when we ordered a "Meat and Veggie" calzone and asked what we wanted on the calzone. Every ingredient we ordered was well cooked and not at all greasy. Delivery was prompt, the delivery man was very courteous and pleasant. And the calzone was absolutely delicious and everyone commented on how good it was. As for me I think it was the very best I've ever had. Pizza is good as the rest of the menu. Been ordering from mandees for 30 years. My only complaint is they can never admit a mistake or apologize for anything. I ordered a sandwich and the wrong sandwich was delivered and the owner over the phone wa extremely rude, unapologetic and said i ordered it. It was somthing i have NEVER ordered ever. Next my daughter ordered an italian sub and it just came with meat and cheese. No veg, no oil. Just meat. I called and the girl said ,"oh thats how they come!". I explained to her that its never been that way there or anywhere. Again, no apology, no nothing. So just for those reasons they lost me as a customer. This place use to be great, but recently it haven't lived up to my expectations. Be sure you order for delivery, because your food will arrive fresher than when you order for take-out. I had placed an order for a small pizza, fries, and cinnabites, and was given an estimate of 15-20 minutes. I arrived on the 15 minute mark and wasn't given my food until 30 minutes beyond the estimates. My pizza was near-cold on their hot stove, and while the cashiers were busy chatting it away with a customer, my fries got cold. The takeout experience is horrible, so just order for delivery, it appears they take much more pride in that. read more

I'm a frequent flyer at this place but I live in Salem so I get the Salem Store a lot. This particular dinner was horrible. The website was down so I called in my order, my food was a steak tip sub with mushroom onions and cheese only. what I got was a steak tip sub that had no mushroom and way to much green pepper. I tried picking it out, but it was more pepper than anything else. I took one bite and I couldn't do it, there was peppers melted into the cheese and it tasted disgusting to someone who hates green peppers. I called to complain, now keep in mind my boyfriend orders from this store often and he never complains. I called and the lady on the phone was like well it comes with peppers, I said mushroom onions and cheese only. She then asked me if I had ordered a steak tip sub from them before I said yes she said well you didn't say you didn't want peppers. I told her mushrooms onions and cheese. First off all I thought ONLY was self explanatory and if you don't understand what only means ask. Secondly whether or not I ordered it before is not the question. I could have ordered it with peppers before for someone else. The issue is I ordered it one way and didn't get what I paid for. She then asks if I want a new one I said yes she then says ok the delivery guy will exchange the sub. Wtf really I'm supposed to dig through my trash to get this sub that I took one bite of. I spent $30 dollars on our meals and my whole dinner went in the trash and then when I call them back they try to make me feel like I'm in the wrong. I'm not cheap with food and I don't complain often so it's not like I'm trying to get an extra meal. But exchanging a sub really I'm insulted. I first have to say a great big YUMMY!! The pizza here is delicious. My Bf and I have just purchased a home in Swampscott and can't really find decent pizza around here so we decided to try this place and we are so happy with it. The delivery is speedy and they are friendly. My father was dog sitting for us over the weekend and saw our pizza box and decided to order from here as well. He loved it. They had the works which included everything but the sink. It had pineapples, cherries, kielbasa, pepperoni, sausage,cheese, chicken...etc. We've had their chicken parm pizza and pepperoni and it truly is great. The sauce and cheese is delicious. Last night we ordered again for our last pizza before we hit the gym for the new year and they warned us that they were busy and that delivery could take up to one hour....ding dong...our doorbell rang about 20-25 minutes later. Normally I really like this place quite a bit. However, the last time I was pretty disappointed. Delivery took almost an hour. The food was warm, at best. Price was higher than menu showed and its a menu from this year. When we called person on phone was pretty abrupt, not even an "I'm sorry we were running late, or sorry about price misunderstanding".
