First time to come in. Service was absolutely horrible. We came in and ordered, they got our order wrong after they repeated it to us. As soon as we got our order we realized half of what we ordered didn't arrive. Their immediate response was "the kitchen closes in 2 minutes. We came in 30 minutes before they were closing. Almost didn't get the rest of our order. The manager had to step in and had no remorse. Definitely another restaurant where no one seems to care to be working there and just wants to leave early. If you are bringing your kids with only one adult, this is not the place for you to dine. It was such a beautiful day and they have a cute little fenced in playground area with tables so the kids can eat and play. What could go wrong, right?!? I frequent this place, but after today with the lack of customer service, I refuse to step back in this establishment or recommend this place to any of my mom friends. I took my two kids and of course when we take a seat to eat, they have to use the restroom. So we get up from the table, mind you two employees were eating next to us. I politely state that we are going to use the bathroom. However, this is not their job to notify anyone. At this point, when we get back to the table. All the uneaten food (kids took about three bites), drinks, empty ice cream cups (haven't had dessert yet) were all wiped clean with no trace we were there. So I went to a manager and stated the situation. Instead of offering me to get us two more kids meals or to reimburse my meal, he let me know that it was my fault for not leaving a belonging on the table. He stated that I needed to leave my phone to notify his employees that we were not done yet. I was outraged to say the least. No, I will not be leaving my phone, purse, or kid to have someone take it. He reminded me that they have top notched security. So after blaming me, I asked to speak to another manager, Jonathan. He was very kind and I asked if I could get reimbursed and he politely agreed. He even offered my kids ice cream after one was a little upset. I declined the offer, took the refund, and left. The previous manager was upset that I was provided a refund. Please provide your staff with more costumer service training, this is unacceptable to blame the loyal customer for just a confusion/honest mistake from the bus boy. Please give Jonathan a raise and fire the other guy with the pony tail. He is just awful and is rude to women with small children. Unfortunately I will not be going back to the bee cave location. Omg....can you say awesome! This was a great place for Sunday supper. We had our six-year-old grandson Intel as he is ours for the week. Their children's menu has three or four kids choices that are definitely kid friendly and I'll include a small scoop of gelato and a drink either soda fountain, lemonade or milk. I ordered the hubby lasagna without reading the full description. Although it had a meat sauce on it he was disappointed because there was not meat in it. That's restaurants fault but mine for being in a hurry and not paying attention. It was an all cheese lasagna with meat sauce on top and it was good he ate about half of it even though it wasn't his favorite. We had ordered an anti-pasty of fried squid and zucchini-it was OKBut probably our least favorite food on the table tonight. It was a little too greasy. The breading was great the flavor was good. I had gnocchi with Bolognese sauce. It was really exquisite. Like little fluffy pillows up gnocchi covered and a delicious beef and pork Bolognese ! And then the little man had his own pepperoni pizza, he had a scoop of vanilla gelato and a glass of lemonade. A good time was had by all. I wasn't familiar with their walk up and order process but it was very expedient and you bring your number back to the table and then you are served dinner at your table so once you order or you sit down and no more up and down anymore. I like the beverage station which included side plates if you wanted to share or have an appetizer, plenty of forks knives and nice large dinner size napkins. must for me always but especially when I'm eating Italian!!! The service was good overall. I did go up to the desert area to buy a box of cookies they are freshly baked and Italian style. Not too bad about a dollar a cookie or if you buy a dozen $10 for the box and you choose. The two employees behind the gelato desert area were between a rock and a hard spot because there were adults and children milling all around the front which made it very hard to order -- And also to know if there was a line or what the process was so I ended up giving up on that. The tasty Italian food scene in Austin is pretty weak. Thank goodness for Mandola's! I've traveled Italy on 7 trips including a 3-month stay in Tuscany. This place is a wonderful reminder of our time there. You'll find unique touches here like cannoli piped fresh in front of your eyes, fresh fried mozzarella, delicious gelato, and a dog friendly patio - all wrapped in a casual, charming environment at reasonable prices. I got food poisoning from the Chicken Piccata a few weeks ago. The rest of my family had other items and were fine. It's the only thing I ate that the rest of my family hadn't tried. The chicken Piccata was the daily special so I wonder if it's pre made and frozen and perhaps was old. I'm not sure, but I was up for several hours vomiting. Fabulous Margherita pizza, delicious Tortellini. The shrimp were cooked to perfection - not overcooked - absolute perfection! Great Alfredo sauce with FLAVOR! Didn't expect awesome focaccia - WOW! Took my mom and my girlfriend there for dinner last night. I don't like having to order and pay at the counter when I'm expecting a sit down meal (ie: not fast food). I find their short list of entrés inadaquit for an Italian Restaurant - seriously, it's only like 5-6 items! We ordered the lasagne, the spaghetti and meatballs and a tortellini dish along with an appetizer of a side salad and a calamari. I asked if the calamari would come first or if it would come with the meal and was told it would come first. I told the guy that was great as I hated getting my appetizer with my meal and he assured me it would not. We tried to sit outside and a waiter delivered their olive oil dipping sauce along with their bread. We asked for some balsamic vinegar but the guy sort of just gave us this blank stare like he had no idea what we were asking for and walked off. We then asked another waiter and was told that the previous waiter didn't speak English?? Okay, so this other guy did and brought us what we asked for. So far so good... Then our Calamari arrived, followed immediately by our meals! Exactly what I didn't want to have happen! And then the flies decided to also congregate at our table. It was so bad that my girlfriend and I moved all our plates, food, everything inside as the flies were just so bad! Nope, no help from the staff on that either! Between the flies, the short menu, the meh taste of the food, I don't think I'll be going back. There's another pasta place I found in downtown Round Rock that I think is better. read more

Please note there are multiple locations. ‍ I went to the wrong location and had a half hour wait whilst my friend was driving to join me. The ladies behind the bar hooked me up with a glass of wine and some delicious bread and infused dipping oil while I waited. I had the chicken parm and he had the spaghetti and spicy sausage. Rude and unprofessional. I'm still trying to process the treatment I received on walking in with my husband and baby last night (on 6/5/22). I really hope that mgmt reads this and tries to do a better job treating their customers with any dignity. Never had been here, was looking forward to trying. Had no idea that you must order at a window (no biggie but if you don't know then you're gonna get yelled at by someone). We walk in, behind a big group 10+, they were standing in the main entrance area and blocking the sign (we didn't see it). It basically said what to do. We awkwardly stood around looking for someone to acknowledge us for a few min. Do we seat ourselves, where to go?? The place was so busy, we thought there was a host or someone to say what we are supposed to do. Then finally, a rude and super sassy male employee yelled at me and said you need to move back and not stand here. I said "we've never been here and have no idea what to do, are we supposed to seat ourselves?"he shouts YES. I Am shocked "I said there is no sign, how am I supposed to know that". He loudly shouts and points "it's right there!"... Just as the big party had walked away (he knew darn well they were just there blocking the sign). I feel that we were attacked for no reason, a customer service opportunity that was missed. He proceeded to shout to "go over there!". I am no dummy and understand that a walkway in a busy restaurant should be clear, but we were mushed in, now clue where to go. If employees are treating customers like cattle and cannot even pretend to be customer focused, maybe they need a friendly employee monitoring the flow of customers, to help ensure on busy nights that the traffic is flowing and that everyone knows where to go. This experience was appalling and unpleasant being shouted at by some guy who clearly hates his job. Food was okay, but regretted not leaving, and spending my money at an establishment where we won't be treated horribly. read more

Rebekah at the gelato station is incredibly rude. I ordered a large chocolate gelato and also had a kids cup from the kids meal I ordered. She filled the tiny kids cup only a 1/4 of the way full. I asked her if she could fill the cup to which she replied "no, it's complimentary". It's not complimentary because I paid for the kids meal. Even if it is, you should fill the cup. If Mandola's wanted the "complimentary" serving to be a quarter of the size then they would give an even smaller cup. I will be emailing headquarters regarding Rebekah and her rude behavior. Phenomenal food quality! I decided to settle in Round Rock today for my lunch with the wife, and needless to say, it was an outstanding experience! Fries were cooked perfectly, fresh, crispy, delightful. Very tasty, as well as the salad. Scratch made focaccia bread is brought to the table with oil & herb to dip. The food here is really good. Love that the menu also had vegetarian options. The bread that comes with each meal is perfect. They also have a great selection of dessert. They are always pretty busy during regular lunch/dinner hours but have a pretty easy to go option as well. I really want to love this place. We went here last night for dinner. I ordered the cheese ravioli- reminded me of Chef Boyardee Bland tomato sauce over, what tasted like previously frozen pasta. Husband ordered a chicken parm panini. He said his chicken tasted rubbery and crunchy (not a good crunch). We got the kiddo a grilled cheese, and he wouldn't even touch it.
