At the register when I tried to order garlic bread with mozzarella on top they kept trying to charge me for garlic bread plus a side of fried mozzarella (even though on the menu it said add $1 to the garlic bread charge if you want mozzarella...) After three staff members assistance they finally got it right. Wait time was 30 minutes. Understandable since the restaurant was packed. However once I got home I was so disappointed because all my food cold :( (I live less than 5 minutes away!) I ordered the chicken Parmesan that came with a side of fettuccine Alfredo. I've eaten here several times in the past and have brought friends and family. The food was always good. Must have new cooks or something because the last three times I have been the food was terrible. I paid $20 for a piece of lasagna and it was the worst lasagna I ever had. I won't be back. Three times of bad food is enough for me. And the other thing, chicken piccata was one of my favorites with the Alfredo sauce. They took away the Alfredo sauce and now put with marinara sauce. You have to pay an up charge if you want Alfredo and one of the last three times was the piccata dish and it was also terrible. Very disappointed. read more

Really good - super crowded yet incredibly well run for a new place! Fast casual italian, the appetizer and dessert were awesome - main courses were good, more of what you expect from fast casual. Got loud inside, so was good to eat outside. Excellent friendly service, just be prepared to sit at table to review menu and then go to the order area to order your food, they give you a number and food is brought to your table. Self service drinks, setting your silver ware etc. once your order you er promptly brought a plate of focaccia bread and oil. Would be best if the focaccia was fresh, seemed stale. The Cesar salad we ordered was drenched in dressing, way too much and the focaccia croutons were stale. Eggplant parmesan were thicker slices with the skin on, and sadly watery and mushy. The side of pasta needed a bit more sauce, dry. The Lasagna was dry, filling needed more sauce. And meatballs were not flavorful at all. All the food was SALTY! Large enough portions though to take home. Staff is attentive. Best part was getting up and ordering gelato and coffees at the desserts area. read more

Or you can go right to the counter and order before picking your table! Drinks, silverware, and to-go containers are self-serve at another counter. They bring you a basket of bread and oil. We started with Bruschetta, which was delicious. I ordered Gnocchi Bolognese with a side Mista Salad both were fantastic. My husband ordered Shrimp Scampi, the Friday special, which was also delicious. We went to the counter to order some birthday cake Gelato to take home. The food is delicious and authentic, the pasta is the best I've had. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are terrific as well. They bring out fresh bread with olive oil and fresh spices to dip it in. They even have a little bakery and cafe counter with a lot of delicious baked goods and fancy coffee offerings. We ordered a large carry out order. Portions were child size at best. Spaghetti bolognese had nothing in it except for spaghetti and a few microscopic pieces of meat. Expensive for what you get. The Spaghetti bolognese and chicken Alfredo was very very good, their bread with olive oil and herbs to go with your meal is very delicious, the staff works very efficiently to keep all customers happy if anything thing Is needed or questions are asked they are right there with their knowledge. I couldn't wait until this opened because who doesn't love Italian. We walked in and were surprised that you had to walk up to the counter to order your food.. like fast food. It was a large menu and lots of people were gathered around looking at the menu. It was awkward and I felt rushed. Then you order your food.. and it's not cheap. Go get your own drink and find your own table with your number. When your food is done, servers wander around trying to find you with a tray of food. My food was good, but usually when I go to an Italian restaurant, I have enough for lunch or Dinner the next day. I had the Chicken Piccata. It was a very small piece of chicken and a small portion of fettuccine. We were still hungry after finishing what appeared to be a child's meal, so we bought cookies. Don't waste your money. They were stale and bland. I had a Pignola and my son had an iced cookie. I won't go back. I gave it a 3 star because the food was hot and the restaurant was new and clean and the outdoor seating was nice. read more

I was not that impressed. High cost to order at the counter. $5 for garlic bread that was really overly toasted 4 thin slices of bread. Dipping bread was better. We came here for lunch on my son's 5th birthday. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF! The complimentary bread and dipping oil is so good. Hints of garlic and fresh focaccia! We had the calamari and fried zucchini. They were thinly breaded and perfectly crunchy. My son loved his spaghetti and meatballs. I loved my caprese panini. My husband had the chicken parm and loved it. The fettuccine noodles that came with that were delightfully thin. They tasted very fresh. My husband also had a cafe latte. He said it was great and he tends to be a coffee snob. We were surprised on our way out that they gave my son a treat for his birthday. First time visiting Mandola's. It's a cross between a 50's diner and Japan's Mama Pasta. Fun family restaurant.

I very rarely leave reviews of any kind, good or bad on any website of any kind of business, I think maybe I've done two in my life. This was by far the best Italian food I've ever had south of New Jersey. Don't be discouraged because it's not table service... It's better than any table service. It's equivalent to the north end or federal hill Italian restaurants in New England. Everything was absolutely perfect. The service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and accommodating (I brought my ten month old and parents). The food was brought to us at the perfect times. Everything was just so delicious. I never write yelp reviews but the food in this place is horrible. Shame on the owners, who are former carrabba's owners, trying to pass this place off as an Italian restaurant. The meatballs are all breading, the bread served has no flavor, sauce is watery and flavorless, and spaghetti is boiled beyond recognition. First, walk in she hands you nice sized menu and points you to stand in line there to place order then go pick your table. Instead of go pick a table look thru the menu then when ready to order there. Second we order a Bruschetta. It has a ton of tomatoes on it yet it comes on a plate and no individual plates so trying to eat it with no individual plate underneath you stuff goes everywhere. Not to mention in a Italian restaurant your handed one little thin napkin wraped around silverware. Third we order pizza and spaghetti with great meatballs. Pizza is not brought with a rise up to place on. So along with appetizer, bread, drinks, dinner there's no room on small table at all. Fourth, love the meatballs wanna know how it's made or what's in it. Menu doesn't really say and asked 3 people no one knew.
