Excellent service. Lunch was a little slow, but we were here at 2 pm, and had all the time in the world anyway. There was just one lovely little lady working, and she was so kind and helpful. We ordered the Chicken in the Grass sub and a medium pineapple, sausage, pepperoni pizza. The crust got soggy on the middle, likely because of the pineapple. We loved it all. The sub is made on garlic bread- what a great touch! The chicken breast on it was done perfectly: tasty and tender. Excellent flavor combinations on the sub! I have driven past this place -Forever-. The other night my friend and I stopped in just to see what it was like. The location is huge and does a lot of take out orders. While we were there, my friend got chicken Alfredo and I got a Calzone, while I got the Bambino sandwich for my husband. Everything was made to order and delicious! Their sauce for the Calzone was zingy and tasted light and bright, the Calzone itself was large, filled with cheese and ham. It was good. The Bambino was humongous! Seriously this is a monstrous sandwich. It's definitely not for one person! But the flavours are all there and they are SO good!! We will come back again for sure read more

Food is fantastic and their prices are the best. Big fan of their pepperoni pizza and garlic bread, but I've heard the bambino mitt is really good too. Wow! Soooo glad I stopped in to this pizza place!! Found myself in Dunedin for work, and noticed the sign for Pizza by the Slice. I was their first customer -- lady was extremely nice -- and got it to go. Good thing, because if I would have tasted it before I left, I probably would've bought a whole pizza! I got the two slices and a drink (can) combo for $5.99... well worth it! The slices were LARGE and the pizza, sooo good! I lived upstate NY as a kid, and this reminded me so much of good NY pizza! From the slight crisp when you bite into the folded slice (way to eat a good big floppy NY slice), to the way the cheese feels and the tasty sauce. Wow! I saw on the min they have calzones, wings and a whole lot more, I can't wait to try it all. I WILL be back with family and friends! Only wish I would've taken a pic before trying the pizza, but I was in traffic lol read more

I want to preface by saying that we did not eat here, so I cannot rate food. We did go in on a Friday night and there was only 1 other table that had people, along with a couple of people sitting in the front waiting on to go orders. They only had 2 young girls working. When we walked in, one of the young girls forewarned us by saying that they had a lot of carry out orders so it could be a while before we were served. We were understanding and chose to sit. She did come over to get our drink out and we both just ordered waters. She said she would take care of us when she wasn't busy delivering pizzas... it didn't register to us until a few minutes that she meant driving deliveries. We sat for a few minutes and ultimately decided to leave before getting our drinks. When we're were getting up, one of the girls was bringing us water bottles with cups of ice and lemon - curious as to if they have running water they serve or if they're cooking with bottled water too? This review is nothing to do with the two sweet girls working, but more of a review on how management expects them to effectively serve AND deliver while getting slammed with online orders and there only being two of them. read more

Excellent white pizza! Huge Calzones. Very fair prices. Big portions! Family owned. So glad they were able to reopen after being damaged by Hurricane. We've driven past this place hundreds of times. It looks like an old drive-in with perhaps, car hop service. On the inside, it's one big hall with mobile home type, plastic windows. On this Friday night, only 2 other tables were occupied. A blaring big-screen tv was at one end. On to the food and service. We shared a really good pizza. I ordered a small side salad, which could feed at least 2 people. Our server told us, she'd been on the job for 2 weeks. It didn't show. She was attentive and pleasant. We had a good meal. I could plainly hear traffic from Alt. US 19 even with the plastic windows closed. The TV set turned up fairly loud, distracted from our dinner. The ambiance is 1980's with an odd piece of wooden furniture in the middle of the dining room. This is a place sorely in need of a makeover. We felt welcomed here by the friendly server and someone in the kitchen who thanked us as we left. read more

Okay I have tried the pasta dishes eggplant parm always wonderful but tonight I had the pizza it was amazing! Hands down best sauce ! I had the margarita pizza light airy and the sauce I could devour with a spoon! Seriously as an Italian I was doubtful but the lady who owns runs cooks and her beautiful daughter really this place is that good. They do a huge take out service and I know why! I am just so impressed. Service was great and trust me I thought too okay older building but the kitchen is amazing and the pizza is great. We have lived in the area for a year and a half and never gone. I don't know why. Dumb decision. We ordered 2 calzones on a Thursday evening. They were $5 each. And HUGE! They come loaded with ricotta and other cheeses but nothing else. To add additional toppings is 89 cents or $1.50 depending on whether it is considered a traditional topping or a gourmet topping. Jalapenos are considered gourmet, consider yourself warned. These things were wonderful. And enough to feed us for 2 nights. The only thing we would say is there did not seem to be much sausage and peppers in either one. Still delicious but next time I will order double sausage. The restaurant is clean and well kept. It was not busy but it was raining horribly and was after 8 pm so not surprising. They do deliver for free so be sure to tip your driver since they brought your food to your door and you didn't have to go out. I will return. I will order the calzone again. And I would definitely order other items off the menu as it smelled wonderful inside this place. read more

ok so ordered a med pizza and a small salad 27 dollars........pizza worse than a frozen publix pizza and ceasar salad was a tin container of lettuce. NO DRESSING a few measly croutons and that awful jar grated cheese, not fresh cheese. so bad i feel so ripped off.....they are going to have to step it up with the new wood fired place a block away. That was amazing food prepared with care! We have never been here and will never be back. We waited over an hour for some mostly cold cheese bread; with a hungry 3&4 year old. Mind you there was one other table in the place with people. Then our pizza came out separately and when I asked the girl who brought it she had an attitude trying to figure out why she had someone else's cheese bread. When our pizza came out it was cold?!! How? After an hour and a half of waiting. The tables all around us sat dirty for the two hours we were there without anyone coming to clean because obviously the girls working the front aren't into working. I can only assume our food sat around a while before they brought it to us because it was so cold. And then it was over $55, which is one thing for good food but not for 2 hour cold pizza. Went with family, and enjoyed their great antipasto salads; for 6 of us, we split a large and a small salad, and had plenty to share. Casual, nice place with friendly staff. Good place to watch a game or enjoy a conversation. The pepperoni and mushroom pizza we had was very good, too! Generous toppings, good sauce, and chewy crust that we really liked. My son and my daughter came to visit me it was 6:30 and most restaurants are crowded . So I said let's go to Bambinos .what a disaster. People are at tables waiting for hrs to eat . The Waitress says are ovens are full . Wth does that mean . The pizza in the oven are for take out ! So I guess the patrons inside have to wait for hours . How do you not take care of patrons that bring there friends and family there to eat! I Didn't get an apology from the waitress or the owner . They will lie to you and say, "oh, were a bit behind, only 10 more minutes". How shall I begin to state my experience here? I placed an order for delivery, and the girl estimated that it would take about 45 minutes to arrive. 50 minutes have passed, and my order has not yet arrived. I call back and the girl says an additional 10 minutes. I wait another 15, and what do you know, my order still has not arrived. I call back one last time, and the girl says that the delivery girl went out for another delivery and has to go back to the store to pick up my order and will be an additional 15 to 20 minutes. The pizza is good. I'd give more than three stars but the pizza is WAY overpriced. Ive ordered takeout twice. Both times the pizza was good. Their pricing makes me assume they will go out of business eventually. Don't get me wrong, I like their pizza, but there's equally good pizza for less money out there.
