We ordered the Brazino grilled fish entree (Mediterranean sea bass).. it came with salad. It was absolutely delicious! It took me back to the shores of the Mediterranean where "Catch of the Day" was exactly what it was.. fresh and super tasty!! My spouse got the Iskender Kebap; a very popular item in the Turkish cuisine. It was great too! The meat was tender and delish. Our company, got the fish and the lamb shank dishes. They were very happy with their picks too. For appetizers, we got the one with app sampler (babaghanouj-- fireroasted eggplant yogurt salad, tzaziki and the spicy sun-dried tomato dip) which came with in-house baked pita bread. My friend and I decided to try this restaurant for an early Sunday dinner. This was our first time so we weren't expecting limited parking but it wasn't a problem. The waitress was dry but I didn't account that against her but I noticed she just wasn't helped, warm, or welcoming. To be honest she acted as though she was annoyed to be there and didn't like her job to me. People that receive great tips, has a people and outgoing personality to me. My friend is vegan and we immediately noticed the menu wasn't the same as on Open Table. That's a scam because they don't cater to vegans. Then the waitresses wasn't friendly or helpful, when asking questions about accommodating. We thought it was a mediterranean restaurant and it turned out to be a hookah lounge/bar.The appetizers and sides were limited on the vegan opens but should order something. I ordered the whole fish, rice and salad because I couldn't substitute the salad just because they said so. we waited patiently and I received the fish but immediately I noticed it was raw on top the waitress seemed to have been annoyed but asked if I wanted them to place it back on the grill. No ma'am I want a fish that cooked all the way through and without contamination. Then grilled another fish and I cut it open down the middle. I took 3 to 4 bites and I was ok because it seemed cooked and it had a nice flavor but then the waitress comes back ask me about it. We thought things where turning around and I told her ok, then I gave it a thorough inspection and open the inside, and guess what?! Ugh it was completely raw and gummy I wanted to cry and throw up what are the chances I get 2 meals with raw fish. What pissed me off, was the attitude of the young that was dry and unhelpful because there was no empathy or apologies. Her response was " you're the only one because I've been selling them all day". I cannot say enough how amazing this place was. I studied abroad when I was a student and by far my favorite cuisine was Turkish food, and I haven't been able to find a good Turkish place in the states. Service was excellent from the 'complimentary' valet to the wait staff. Personally not a fan of places that force you to have complimentary valet service. It's bad if you don't tip the guys. Plus after a meal i like to get in all the walking i can and on top of that it sucks when it's cold outside because you have to wait for your car. The did try to put some heat things where you wait that were really not effective and just the parking lot in general is too cramped. Maybe it's due to the location but there is no option to park your car yourself. The salmon arrived quickly, oily and overcooked (I.e. not medium rare) but good nonetheless. Why 2 stars only? The salmon was overpriced, $28 would have give me a nice medium rare in another restaurant. The wine is terrible (but cheap), I had 2 glasses and a terrible hang over the next morning. The owner seemed more concerned that I paid the valet fee ($20 for front parking, $5 for rear parking). Not hesitating to stop me to ask if I paid while I was going away with my date. Kind of rude. Checked this spot on a random work week, I was craving hookah and was already new Roswell rd. Once we arrived we were told that valet parking was the only parking option eventhough the parking lot was not only empty but small and we could've easily parked it ourselves since we already there. Valet was $5, but still completely unnecessary. Once seated outside, we ordered hookah first, drinks than food. The hookah came shortly after the food, which I'm not sure why it took so long. I ordered the steak pasta and I was craving mushroom and requested a special order of that on the sad and had it smothered in the same steak sauce that came with the pasta. Love this place. They have a beautiful ambiance and great food. They are also in a dope location. Right near the suburbs but gives you access to a city feel without the bullshit. Winnie was our server snd she is the sweetest. She works so hard even when she's pulled to different sections. The service is excellent, and they go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. The don't skip a beat here. The food was phenomenal, we got the mixed grill and the lahmecum (Lahme pizza). And it was more than we expected. We both went home full and still had some to go. The quality of the meat is amazing, cooked perfectly, moist, and tons of flavor. Stumbled upon this little gem, which is owned by the same owners of Pasha. Fortunately, this place has a very different vibe than Pasha -- much nicer staff, better service, much more of a chill vibe vs. a club vibe. I absolutely love the outdoor patio and it's covered -- on weekends, you typically need a reservation for the patio but during the week seemed fine. Super cute restaurant! We ordered the lentil soup and Adana kebab platter and the soup came really cold and not nearly close to the ones I had in Turkey. Ordered: Adana Kabob ($20) and Lahmacun ($16) Ambience: small and narrow space with a Turkish decor. Has valet services (complimentary). A small bar at the entrance. The space is tight - it's like fine dining at a cafe! Was busy during our visit and we enjoyed the hustle and bustle of everyone's conversations. Dress code is casual. Review: it was bleh! Food is basic - not too bad but nothing special. Given it's on Roswell Rd, which is basically the road with the finest of restaurants in Atlanta, the expectation was high. But the place didn't meet our expectations. Lahmacun was basically a pizza but the dough is more like roti. The ground beef and lamb had heavy tomato taste. It comes with toppings on a separate plate, which is good so you can take as much as you need. But wish it had some kinda sauce on the side. There is another pizza with Rib eye steak - that might have been better. But Lahmacun was VERY basic. Same for Adana Kabob - very basic tasting. The service was okay - could be better but we understand that they were busy. It has been a while, probably since Istanbul, I've had real authentic Turkish food that doesn't get looped into the "Mediterranean" category. I'm not looking for standard kabobs and hummus when I step into a truly Turkish eatery. Two of us decided to do a bit of a tasting menu and to-go any leftovers giving us the opportunity to try as many dishes as we could. Ordered the following: Mandolin Pinot - 2015 Dip Trio - Hummus/Hipiti/Tzakiki Falafel Kasseri Kofte Zataa'r Pide Side of Soujouk Pastrami Lamb kebab with bulgar Somon Kunefe First off the service from Imran and hostess was great after a bit of a hiccup. The Mandolin Pinot was well recommended. It was great to see they had Hipiti on the menu and it was terrific as was the hummus in the trio. The tzakiki was good but pretty standard and bit acidic. The falafel were seasoned well but were way too dry internally. The Kasseri Kofte was spot on. The lamb meat was good quality and flavor of the Kasseri Cheese was similar to how it tasted when I tried it in Istanbul. To parallel this dish to an American dish, picture a Minnesota style Juicy Lucy burger with lamb instead of beef and Kasseri instead of Cheddar...BOOM!! I was also glad to see Pide's on the menu and was hopeful they weren't bland and generic like most of the Pide's I've had in the States. I'd say it was better than average. Next time I'm going to try the standard Lahmacun Pide. The Soujouk Pastrami they had was also really authentic and will maybe try that Pide as well at some point. The Lamb kebab was ordered medium but cooked medium well. The flavor was quite good and the meat was pretty tender for the level of doneness. The bulgar that accompanied this dish was surprisingly good as well. The Somon (Salmon) was pretty great as well and the portion size was more than generous. It was slightly overdone but my gf ordered it medium well. To end this beast of a meal we ordered the Kunefe which was one of the main reasons I wanted to try this place. I used to cook this dish up with my Turkish friends in college and then got to try all their mother's/grandmother's renditions in Turkey. I have a pretty good idea of what a good Kunefe should taste like and this might have been the most authentic dishes they have. It was definitely the best I've had outside of Turkey. I recommend getting this every time. Overall, there were a lot of things I liked about this place and a few things I didn't. We walked by after roaming City Springs. I had this place on my wish list to try and it didn't disappoint. We started with a Falafel appetizer. It came with Hummus on the side. Some of the best Falafel I've had in the Atlanta area. The Hummus was smooth and not too oily like some other places. I had the Adana Kebab while my family shared the Mixed Grill. All tasted really good. The Adana Kebab had a slight kick. The Mixed Grill was a good call to try a few different meats. The Gyro meat was the best of the bunch. We could have that all day. Customers LOOK OVER YOUR RECEIPT THOROUGHLY. Ordered calamari it was nasty so we sent it back. We had drinks, hookah, a hookah refill, and meatballs. Bill was $212.69. We looked over our bill everything was correct. Thirty-two dollars in cash was given and two cards were used to split $180.69 which equals $90.35 each. Waitress comes back with final bill for us to sign off. I look at the receipt, our bill went from $212.69 to $233.31. We call our waitress over and questioned her about the difference. She admitted the calamari was added back to the $233.31 bill. Which meant my friend and I would now split $100.35 instead of $90.35 each. So obviously she pocketed the $32.00 cash and would get the gratuity that was already included in the bill.. next she (obviously) added the calamari back to makeup the difference hoping we would not notice.. She apologized and cashapped my friend $16 (cost of the nasty calamari... frozen not fresh). PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL these waitresses are slick hustlers. I went there for dinner with my husband and a friend last night. It was 7:45 and barely anyone in, which didn't bother me since I figured it would be quiet. The food was alright, not memorable. I did like the calamari and my salmon was cooked well. My husband found his lamb chop over cooked and my friend thought the shrimp were over seasoned and blackened. It filled in around 8:30 and almost everyone had hookah at their table. This must be their main dish which explains why the cheapest bottle of wine, at $85 was unavailable and the next cheapest was $120. We were not offered another similarly priced bottle. Also, tip was already accounted for on our party of three? I've never heard of this...only for large parties. Lastly, be aware you will be charged $5 for parking. I won't ever be returning there. It is now just an extremely loud Hooka lounge catering to patrons in their 20s and 30s with little semblance to serving real Turkish food and beverages. The entire population of Turkey would be in shock and embarrassed by Mandolin Kitchen's version of Turkish tea, bread, and lack of pide. The food and ambiance used to be why we would come here, but no more. Also, the valet only parking and extremely rude attendant were uncalled for and added to the negative experience. A group of us went to Mandolin for weekday lunch. We were seated immediately. Lunch business is quite light. The restaurant is very clean inside although outside doesn't look that appealing. Valet parking is really not needed. I wish we could park by ourselves and just give them the tip...... Most people ordered Iskender which is grilled sliced beef and lamb over toasted pita (like croutons) topped with yogurt, a grilled tomato and a very tasty/spicy pepper. Delicious! If you don't like oily croutons, you should order Doner Kebab. It comes with rice. It looks plain but it's definitely less oily. Food portions are large. Nearly everyone had leftovers. Bread and olive oil dip was complementary and very tasty. I didn't give 5 star for two reasons: 1) AC was way too cold in the restaurant. 2) I had better Doner Kebab meat in Germany. read more

I attended Mandolin Kitchens invite only Soft opening.. I'm glad I did. The food was amazing. We started with a cucumber, tomato vinegar salad served with freshly baked pita. Then we had several small plates from hummus, to a beet salad, to a eggplant side. All of which were delicious. We were brought a special Chefs plate of kabobs. They were all really well seasoned. The lamb koobideh was amazing as was the chicken. The chef (Lutfi) is absolutely authentic. He really cooks from the heart. I've been to turkey and this food is definitely a great representation. This was one of my favorite restaurants. The last couple of times I have ordered take out from here have been so disappointing. The onion salads no longer have sumac they just toss everything in the boxes and the flavor is just not what it used to be. Today i ordered a lamachun and they gave me a bunch of old arugula normally its parsley.
