I discovered Mandy's several years ago while prowling around the Gold Country/Sierra Foothills, and I was so pleased that I vowed to return again the next time I was back. Once again, Mandy's did not disappoint. First off, the staff here is absolutely amazing. They are all very friendly, accommodating and efficient. I had breakfast here twice along with a lunch snuck in between over a period of a few days. They made my own omelette concoction twice for breakfast, and both times it was to perfection. The red potatoes were amazing (coming from a potato freak), and the biscuit with gravy was delish. Had the Tri-Tip sandwich for lunch, and while it was excellent, I was kind of in a rush to be able to enjoy it the way I would have liked (not their fault). Mandy's is a wonderful place for breakfast and lunch, and my only regret is not living close enough to be able to enjoy it more often. Thanks to everyone for several great experiences!! read more

I've eaten at Mandy's twice now, and I can say I will be back again. The first time here, my husband and I had breakfast. He had the pork belly Benedict. The pork belly was soooo flavorful and tender. The hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy. The eggs poached perfectly. I had the corned beef hash and a side of biscuits and gravy. The gravy was seasoned will. The hash griddled nice and crispy like I like it. We also had the mango iced tea. Served in a nice big mason jar, it was refreshing. Not too sweet. Our second time, I wanted lunch. I ordered the Rueben sandwich, side of friend mushrooms, and a side salad. Everything was wonderful. My husband couldn't resist the pork belly Benedict again. LOL. It might have been even better than the first time! Our two year old son was with us the 2nd time. We ordered him a kid's quesadilla with chicken and fries. We put in his order when we ordered our drinks because we know how he can get antsy and we like to try to get his food first. Unfortunately, his plate came out only a few minutes before our food. The server kept apologizing profusely. We knew they were busy, and it was fine. We did appreciate that the server was apologetic. We had the same gentleman as our server both times and he is ON TOP OF IT! He is friendly and FAST! They turn tables very quickly here because the wait is usually out the door. We were looking for a good place to eat before we headed back home. Hubby was the one who found this place while searching on here. We figured we had to try it since it has really good reviews. We were smart to go here early because the crowd started to arrive 15 minutes after we were seated. There's plenty of parking which is always a plus.The restaurant is small but quaint....very country...we are in Jamestown, afterall. We were greeted with a friendly smile from the hostess who was very much in the 4th of July spirit. First impression....clean restaurant with friendly staff. The hostess asked us what we wanted to drink right away. I ordered their Veggie Omelet and hubby ordered their chicken fried chicken. My omelet was very good and hubby said his chicken friend chicken is one of the best he's ever had. We will definitely go back here for breakfast the next time we are in town. read more

This is by far the best restaurant for breakfast and probably for lunch in Tuolumne County. Every year it wins the Readers' Choice award in the local newspaper for the best breakfast in the Sonora area. The staff are awesome; they are friendly and fast. The food quality is superb with great options, and I always place a tip in the "Tip Jar for the Cooks." Sometimes there is a fairly long wait, especially on weekends. But we usually go midweek 2 or 3 times a month, and rarely is there a wait. Love this place! read more

What a great place. We liked the reviews so we decided to stop in and we drove an hour to get there. It was well worth it. I had the Wrangler omelette. It was one of the best omelets I've ever had. The portions are very generous. I had pancakes instead of toast and boy were they good. The Omelette stay together in a rich combination of textures and flavors. It didn't leak all over the place like a watery crummy omelet would. I cherished every bite. The guy who served us was really nice. Even though we had never been there before they treated us life old friends. I can't recommend this place enough. Absolutely delicious! My California Benedict was great and the deep fried mushrooms were a treat. My granddaughter's French toast was tasty, but way too much sauce. I was in town yesterday to visit my mom and I remembered that Mandy's would now be serving dinner in the evenings. Starting at 4 pm. Lucky me Bcz they are an amazing establishment already. So I was excited to see what they would be offering on a dinner menu. We got there early due to the fact that Mandy's is very popular and I wanted to make sure I got a seat and not have to wait too long. They opened promptly at 4 and started seating. We got a table and found that the tables had menus and dinnerware already on the tables. The tables and booths have been redone and look great. As I looked at the menu it was pretty much what I had expected them to offer. Mexican food. Now the reason I suspected they might do this is that they have a great chili verde breakfast dish which is amazing. So I found myself wondering if they may go that route for the dinner menu. I wasn't disappointed with that decision. But would like to have seen maybe some other options. Such as pot roast of pork roast and sauerkraut. But I was confident that anything on this menu would be delicious. Our server took our drinks orders and mentioned they were a little behind and would return soon. I wasn't too worried bcz I wanted to explore the menu thoroughly. As expected with a new opening I'm sure they'd work out whatever issues they were encountering. However she ended up forgetting about us. So we sat there for an extended amount of time. Finally a gal noticed us and apologized and took our orders. I chose the carnitas plate with rice and beans. My mom just had the street tacos with carnitas ala carte. The food didn't take too long to arrive and we dug in. As I was looking over my food, I didn't realize what I was looking at on my dish bcz it was so white looking. Then it dawned on me that it was my beans. I have never seen refried beans so white. I figured maybe they added too much cheese. But it was garnished with shredded cheese as well. I didn't give it too much thought and soldiered on. They tasted great by the way. The carnitas looked amazing as did the rice. It as you would expect came with tortillas. Man I can tell you this food was amazing. Not everyone can make great carnitas. But these were so tender and had the right amount of crispy pieces. The rice was perfect! I can't stand wet rice and this was dry the way I like it. I kept telling my mom that once word gets out how good the food is here, they're going to give the Mexican restaurant down the street some serious competition. My mom enjoyed her tacos as well. I noticed they were prepared well and were just the right amount of food for my mom. We were back this morning for breakfast before I headed home. Now their breakfast are amazing as well. I can't say enough about Mandy's as a restaurant. The staff is always friendly and it has a very welcoming atmosphere when you come in. My mom is a regular here and we always come when we are in town. I sure hope the dinner hours catch on. Bcz they did the menu right. I can't wait to come back and try something else in the menu. Eggs over medium were perfect and didn't taste smothered in butter (which is often the case at brunch places and freaks me out). Corned beef hash was kind of gross -- small mushy pieces of corned beef. I couldn't get myself to finish. We struggled with service. The people are incredibly nice but they forgot to take our order and we had to flag them down. And then the kitchen somehow forgot to make the burger. They were on it quickly once we asked about it, but it ended up coming half an hour later than everything else. I think we were just unlucky. My husband and I were so excited to have breakfast @ Mandy's , we had booked a room at the new kitchen ranch resort for the weekend. So we drove 20 minutes out of our way to Mandy's on Sunday. The Wait wasn't bad, we were seated by the window (nice). The waitress took our coffee orders, when she put my coffee cup down, there was a long hair wrapped around the cup, I pointed it out. She asked if I needed a new cup wow stupid question, so she brought new cup. We ordered our breakfast, I had chicken burrito and my husband ordered chicken steak w gravy and scrambled eggs. He was sick the whole weekend after he ate that breakfast. I will not go back there again. The hair on my coffee cup was the sigh for us to leave the place, but didn't want to be rude. After a short drive from Black Oak Casino, I stopped in for what appeared to be a great meal - rave reviews and lots of delicious photos online is what caught my attention. I was not disappointed and left so full from the generous helping of eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. The staff are friendly and welcoming which make the vibe fun and engaging. Never did my coffee get low. My party and I had to wait for a table but for only 10 minutes or so as the tables were in and out. Worth the wait as business is booming. One of the highlights of our trip! The food was delicious -- they have many omelets and skillets for breakfast, but the star of the show was their interesting choice of sweet breakfast items like banana flambé waffles, stuffed French toast, churro waffles, and fluffy pancakes. Everything was great. Further, their staff is extremely nice and attentive. Also extremely notable was their big selection of coloring books on shelves as you walk in where your children can choose anything they'd like to color. Really appreciate that consideration for kids. Giving this one three stars as I've only been here once and while it wasn't the worst.. it certainly didn't blow my socks off. I got the banana flambé waffle. It wasn't bad, but surprisingly bland. It definitely tasted like banana that had been cooked in butter.. I guess I was hoping for some cinnamon, sugar, SOMETHING besides just butter. It was very busy inside, which made it extremely loud.
