    Spicy Eggplant Parm

Tried the spicy eggplant parm and I really enjoyed it. It had a good spiciness and creaminess from the eggplant and burrata and I loved how soft the eggplant was. Would definitely return for this again if I was in the area.

    Turkey Meatball

I ordered the turkey meatball and while the filling itself was generous, the overall experience fell a bit short. The meatballs had a good texture but it was under seasoned. The bread was a basic white sub roll which I prefer for cold cuts but not a hot sandwich. Would be nice if they had rustic or sourdough bread options.. I'll give this place another try..

I can't believe I didn't realize Thanksgiving sandwiches are actually a thing until this year. A friend told me that Sandwell sells them before Thanksgiving, so I decided to come here and order one for dinner. They call it the "Ross sandwich" as a homage to the Friends tv show where one episode features a Thanksgiving sandwich Monica had made for Ross that got eaten by someone else. There is also a "Rachel sandwich" but I'm not sure the origin of that one. The sandwich comes sliced in half and it's very easy to eat (you won't have stuff falling out). There are a handful of tables indoors and outdoors which is great since you can enjoy your warm sandwich immediately. I looooved the Ross sandwich--it came with turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing all in a delicious semolina sub roll. I also got a bottle of the ginger lemonade which was good. We ordered the pesto chicken salad as well which was alright, but I definitely preferred the sandwich. I wanted to order another one immediately!

Best food here, the Delicious Chicken Pesto Burrata. Served by the Amazing Staff here at Sandwell!!

I'm so happy that I found out about this place. I ordered Chicken Pesto Burrata. And damn it didn't disappoint. Chicken was flavored so well with an awesome taste. The Pesto was the topping of an awesome meal. I've had Pesto before but this reigns high in the best tasting Pesto. The bread made so well and oh my G*D the wrapping I was so impressed unwrapping my meal. It was like opening up a birthday gift with layers of wrapping to reveal the surprise. And You should be surprised here too, try the Chicken Pesto or anything else on their menu You would be pleasantly surprised. Of note the managers and All their staff are excellent customer service skills the way they deal with everyone

Had to try the Ross as a huge fan of Friends! A tasty Thanksgiving treat. And then I needed a side of veggies so I went with the broccoli. I want to try the other location near me but this one was very good!

There are a few locations, but I decided to visit this one because it was the most convenient for getting to and from home. I got there around 7:00 PM, which felt a little close to closing time since Google said they close at 9:00 PM, but it wasn't busy at all. In fact, I was only the third customer to place an order. I ordered the La Summer sandwich and added pesto. After sitting down and taking my first bite, I immediately understood the hype. Without a doubt, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. I'm not even a huge sandwich person when it comes to subs and deli meats, but everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ingredients paired together perfectly, and you could still taste each one individually. The only thing I'd change next time is the meat. I had no idea prosciutto was a type of ham, but honestly, it didn't even taste like ham to me. It was sliced paper-thin, slightly salty, and worked surprisingly well with everything else. Next time, though, I'll probably add salami just to see how it compares. Overall, this sandwich was a solid 10/10, and I will absolutely be back--whether it's to try a different sandwich or, if we're being honest, order the exact same one again with salami added. I will say it's on the expensive side, but that's New York City for you. Apparently, all of the ingredients are flown in from Italy. After tax and tip, I paid a whopping $28 for a single sandwich. That said, it was incredibly filling and definitely kept me satisfied. The workers were also really nice and accommodating, and the indoor seating was beautiful. The atmosphere felt like a fancy Italian café, complete with couches and artwork throughout the space. I wish I had taken pictures, but honestly, I was too busy enjoying what might be the best sandwich I've had in years.

The menu inside breaks down all of the sandwhiches, you roll up to the deli counter when they say next, spill out your order (add/remove stuff to your order) and you're done. The most overwhelming thing is deciphering the Italian sandwhich menu. I hit up the Italian Hot. Pretty decent! I added sun dried tomatoes...but it would have been just as good without it. Be PREPARED this Sammie has some chili honey liquid /oil sauce they put on it and it's tasty but it's a lot. The staff are friendly - just focused on getting your order and getting it to you so you can enjoy. The wall is pretty interested they have made their own decor out of door panel fixtures.

I opted for the L'italiana, which features Prosciutto, Pistachio Cream, Stracciatella, Sun-Dried Tomato, Arugula, though I swapped out the prosciutto for bresaola. Oh man, this bread is legit! And as a yuuuge pistachio fan, that cream is delightful, especially coupled with that creamy stracciatella. Super well-composed sandwich, amazing bread, quality ingredients...a hit! This location, was absolutely not prepared to have this store in nyc. For New Yorkers that never had a sandwich from Jersey Mike's, this location will ruin the brand. I ordered a sandwich for pickup on a rainy night in the weekday, it literally took 1 hour for a cold sandwich that was missing parts of my order! Everyone waiting which was about 30 people were all visibly frustrated and angry. I missed my show because I couldn't even have predicted that ordering from a chain would take this long. They had 3 staff, 1 preparing not pickup orders and managing the register, one making orders with a stack of prepared orders whose names they weren't calling?!? Like how can you be this understaffed for a location like this. Getting someone to ask about your order was nearly impossible. Honestly, I feel bad for the staff working there since this is nyc and you deal with crazies, so one guy who waited 15 minutes getting heated I debated just finishing my sandwich at home because I didn't want to witness craziness Ok-actual sandwich was beyond a disappointment. They got it wrong and to get it fixed would have taken another hour that I didn't have. The bread was stale and cold and hard, there was veryy little meat. We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room. After being in a car and on a flight and in another car all morning, we weren't mad about the standing part. We were all able to share and sample each sandwich, and honestly, we were not disappointed. We were all full and happy when we weren't finished, so what more could we want for a relatively quick NYC meal? Being under the plaza, the restrooms were outside the shop but very close by so we were able to wash hands and such before journeying out into the wild. I would definitely stop back by again on another trip! The guys and I all gave Alidoro's two thumbs up - so 8 thumbs total, if you're counting.
