However, sometimes when your family has been steeped in agriculture in other ways, it takes a current generation to move things into other arenas. Enzo is a prime example of this. The Richiutti family makes olive oil from their farms, not that far from where I grew up. Of course locality is but a part of the equation. It still has to taste good. A greenish golden colour is present to the eye but the palate has a smooth richness up front followed by a peppery kick. The profile is something you'd usually not cook with and use as a finishing oil on meats and vegetables that need some balance of fat. Though I did see someone use it in an olive oil cake which may lead to some experimentation. It's just hard to part with the fresh taste of a first press olive oil straight.

The olive oil here is absolutely amazing. After sampling a few, we settled on the Greek-inspired one, which had such a rich, delicious flavor. We also couldn't resist picking up some of their honey to take home. The owner was very nice and informative, taking the time to explain the different oils and making the experience even more enjoyable. It's always a bonus when you can learn something new while shopping. I also love that Tesla chargers are located at interesting spots like this--it makes charging more like an opportunity to explore.
