A Mexican bakery that also sells savory German pastries called bierocks are a savory soft pastry filled with meat and veggies. I was so excited to see these in the case and double excited to see the different flavor styles offered and influenced by the surrounding neighborhood. They had classic bierocks with ground beef and cabbage, cheese with jalapeño, chorizo, and carne asada. I bought one of each! These were not quite like the ones I had as a kid, but still very good. I loved all the fillings, but my favorite was a Carne Asada with cheese. Their classic cabbage and ground beef bierock was a little bland. The chorizo was delish and all that soft bread was the perfect grease absorber. From what I was told, they sell bierocks because this bakery used to be owned by an old German couple who retired and sold it to a Mexican family. The original owners asked if they would keep these traditional German treats on the menu for their loyal customers who still lived in the neighborhood. Since then, they have gone on to keep the traditional alive while adding their own flavor and style, which I think is amazing!

I was at the studio and decided it was time for something to munch on so I headed out to the restaurants along Olive Avenue, I had never been to this bakery before and I love bedrocks so I thought it was time. Upon entering a sense of calm came over me as I walked by the displays of baked goods and seeing the variety only added to my comfort zone. With three types of beerocks and endless kinds of sugary treats I couldn't decide...so I asked for some guidance from the two girls working the counter. I selected two of three types of beerocks and an apple baked treat...being cool outside a cappuccino was in order. With two bags of yum and a cup full of joy I walked out with a different pep to my step only to notice the 4 extra pastries, she gave me a bonus! Seeing a homeless person I extended a gift of a chocolate bar and a kind look only too familiar in these mask wearing days, with a thankful pronouncement expressed I continued my journey back to the studio and proceeded to enjoy the contents of my carry. If you're in the area be sure drop by and enjoy some local goodness.

Assorted breads, most of which were still warm when we picked them!

I have come here once when I lived in tower when they first opened many many years ago and it was very so so as I took a box of pastries into work. Whatever they have done between now and then is a mystery to me but the pastries are an instant home run. Opening the cases made my daughter swoon, being hit in the face with a blanket of sweet air was such a delight! The huge assortment of breads were arranged and stacked neatly and you could feel the fresh warmth of them on the tray. Some of the specialty items were in cases only accessible to the workers, no issue at all as she was nice and attentive. Today is Three Kings Day and they had boxes of Roscas available, small and large for $20/25. To my knowledge the smaller bakeries have these on a preorder basis so I liked that you could casually pick one up at the last second if needed. My kids and I have already dug in and the offerings are fresh and beyond tasty. They're trying a little bit of everything and we've got nothing but praise over here! Well done!

Good place for pan dulce, terrific place for delicious bierocks. This place is about a mile from our house so we've come a few times for pan dulce (standard prices, average price about 65-75 cents a piece). But the star, to me, is their bierocks / beerocks. The dough is that distinctive bierock dough with peppery meat inside, so good. Price might have gone up since I was last in but still reasonable at $3.25 or so, as lunch (I would say light lunch but there's all that delicious dough and meat...). It's never been busy when I've gone in. There's always one person that comes out when the door bell goes off. There are trays with tongs at the counter in front of you when you walk in. Go to each of the cases to peak at what you want then open to take out what you want in to your tray then take that up to the counter to get rung up. Prices aren't posted on each shelf which is kind of annoying. If you're just coming in for bierocks, you can order that as soon as the gal comes in from the back. You can take them out the fridge or they can warm them up for you :)

I've been looking for a Panaderia close to home and ran into this place. The lady at the front was quiet but it's because she was shy. After I broke the ice she was such a sweetie. I asked her how long she has had her business there and she said 10 years. I was the only customer in the store so I told her I was gonna make her famous and put her up on Facebook. Good place!

I've been to a few panderias around town and this is by far the best! It is self serve and the ladies at the bakery are helpful. I will not go anywhere else! Love this place!

We were looking for a bakery to buy some cakes in Fresno area because it was the kiddo's birthday,…read moreand Yelp was able to show me this bakery. The bakery is located in a shopping plaza at Shaw and it looks like one of those high-end places in Fresno. So we found a bakery, which was at that time for people dining inside and outside because they do have brunch menu. luckily we're able to find that there's a separate line for the bakery items and the line, although ling, was quick when it was our turn. We had difficulty choosing which cakes to get but we were able to ask around what are the recommendations we were able to get their top selling cake which is a vanilla cake that has fruit compote in the middle and fruits as decoration. I think it was around $47 for this particular cake. When we got home, it kept well when we had our birthday celebration. We didn't have to put it back in the fridge. By the time we got to eating the cake. It was perfectly thawed and surprisingly delicious. It was moist and full of the fruit compote - they did not skimp on the fruit. It was lovely and highly recommended. When I come back to Fresno, I'd probably try their brunch items. Four stars for their cake.

Like pork buns are 3.00 cash and 3.09 credit card. But at least that's an option now. Warmly greeted and helped at the front counter when I walked in. Looks like a traditional Chinese bakery with their decor and set up and heard the front counter lady say their food is more based on the south side of China. Their steam pork buns will always be a favorite. I was lucky enough to walk in when they brought out a fresh new batch so it was still nice and warm when I got home. Dough is sweet and fluffy with their bbq pork filling. For 3.00 a bun, it was quite smaller than I remember. The ratio of the dough and filling was also not as portioned. Some bites you just get the dough. First time having their steam chicken buns and was surprised to see that it was sliced chicken with veggies and a slice boiled egg. This was not it for me. It was like eating a stir fry in a bun. Though this bun was bigger and more portioned than the steam pork buns. This was also my first time trying their Shumai dumplings. The flavor was there. A nice umami flavor. But I was missing the bouncy texture of the meat. And for 4 for 7.00 they were pretty small (compared to the dim sum places). Looking forward to trying other others on their menu now that the menu and signs are easier to see/read.

Both were served with their made-onsite orange blossom syrup, which went very well with the pancakes. Everything was wonderful, however the sujok beef patty was my favorite. To drink, my friend requested an Almond Milk Cappuccino, and I opted for a canned 100% mango juice. We also utilized the complimentary water dispenser. The only thing I got to try was their halo halo , which the kind lady had explained to me that they make their Ube sauce, homemade straight from their kitchen. I was excited enough for that part, but after tasting their obey, I wasn't quite thrown away by it. Also, I just want to know that their Ube bread that was available. There was only like two trays left for sale and I was just not very stoked out to even make a purchase because everything was so empty and so I just kind of didn't even bother to make a purchase, but my aunt did pick up one tray and so I was kinda able to taste that pastry item and if I have to be honest, I believe I've had it before but anyways if I'm in the mood for any Ube bread, I would just purchase it at my local Asian market.
