I had an awesome experience here, I called ahead to ask if they offered halal, non-pork pepperoni which is really rare to find and they accommodated to me! Super impressed with their customer service right from the call. The staff were friendly, and the pizza was delicious!!! Exactly how I requested. Definitely my go-to spot now. Highly recommend!

Most of the time this place is good. They have had some questionable customer service in the past at the hands of those answering phones. I also have to say that the food is normally pretty decent. So this review is just about last night. I know this was seen. A rotten heel of a tomato just slung in my wrap sandwich. Gross guys.

    Hercules Pizza

Mangino's Pizza is the only place I know of that carries the Hercules pizza. Gyro meat, black olive, onions and green pepper on top of a white pizza with tzatziki sauce on the side which I like to slather on top. Every time I am in the neighborhood I order a medium or large Hercules to go. I tried their version of a Hawaiian pizza too and it was great. There is definitely oil dripping from the pizzas between the meats and cheese. I also tried their gyro in a pita and that was delicious too. There is seating available but the place is usually empty of dine in customers as most people do carry out.

    Garlic knots ok

Solid local pizza joint in Burke. We had a very small pizza, chicken tenders, garlic knots and zucchini fries. Favorite were the fries and everything was solid. Healthy business with carryout. Some people ate in and it is a bit of a suburban dive. Definitely recommend ordering online for pickup. Will be in our weekly rotation.

Large pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage
    Jonathan X.

I ordered a large with pepperoni and Italian sausage. What came is almost inedible, as it is really salty. Very disappointing, but can be made marginally better with Parmesan. I give this three starts because it's possible the Italian sausage was extra salty and so that cooking soaked down salting the whole pizza. Outer edge of crust is good, but ..wow. Maybe the sauce? It's just a salty tang that ruins the whole thing. I'll have to go there in person some time for a slice or two with different toppings but this was not a good sign.

Energy | Grilled Chicken | Atmosphere…read more Energy: This place has genuinely great energy from the moment you walk in. The restaurant is divided into two rooms, each with a slightly different feel. The main dining room is large but arranged fairly tightly, with tables close together. While it's snug, it gives off a warm, lively "big family restaurant" vibe -- full of conversation, movement, and shared enjoyment rather than feeling cramped. The second room is more private and quieter, with about 8-10 tables that seat roughly 4-6 people each. If you're looking for a more intimate or low-noise experience, that room is definitely the better choice. Grilled Chicken: I ordered the grilled chicken, and it was a standout. The portion was generous and satisfying without being overwhelming. The chicken itself was well-seasoned and cooked through while still remaining juicy. The vegetables served alongside it weren't just an afterthought -- they were well prepared and complemented the flavors of the dish nicely, adding balance and color to the plate. Altogether it felt like a thoughtfully composed, hearty meal. Atmosphere: We visited on a Saturday night, and the place was packed -- always a good sign for popularity and food quality. Even without a reservation, the wait was only about 10 minutes, which was impressive given how busy it was. The one drawback to the evening was seating. We ended up next to a family with three very young kids, which shifted the mood away from the romantic dinner we had planned. The lively environment is great for groups and families, but table placement can definitely affect the experience depending on what kind of evening you're hoping for. Pro tips: - There's a surprisingly good amount of parking available, which makes arrival easy even during peak hours. - Make a reservation if you can, and specifically request the more private room or a back-corner table in the main dining room for a quieter, more intimate experience.

The main room has music playing which is a little loud when the restaurant is full. The side room is a bit quieter, so if you want to be out of the noise, that is your spot! The food was really good. I had the special risotto with sausage and mushrooms, and Nate had the lemon chicken with veggies. We also shared a chocolate souffle. All the flavors worked really well together. Honestly my favorite part was the wine- the papale primitivo di manduria DOC was so flavorful and full bodied. It tasted exactly as the description. The service was a little slow at first but Filipe our server was great once it got going. This place was very family friendly and tons of kids were there- so this is not quite the date night away from the kids we were hoping for. The food is also priced similarly to other local spots- expect to pay $50-70 per person for 1 drink, a meal, and shared dessert.

Intimate | portions | community…read more Intimate Rafagino offers a warm, intimate dining atmosphere that feels more like a neighborhood gathering place than a chain-style restaurant. The smaller setting and attentive service create a relaxed, personal experience that works especially well for date nights or quiet meals with friends. Portions Portions are generous and satisfying. Pasta dishes and entrees arrive hearty and filling, often with enough for leftovers. It's comfort-style Italian that doesn't hold back on quantity. Community There's a strong community feel here -- from the welcoming tone of the staff to the loyal local customer base. The restaurant reflects a family-first ethos that shows up in both service style and operating approach. Pro tip: Check the hours before you go. They keep limited days and times -- mostly late lunch and dinner service -- which reflects their family values and operating philosophy.

At that point I already had a bad feeling. We tried the chicken parm and chicken piccata. Unfortunately both were extremely bland. The chicken had no flavor the sauces had no seasoning. After we were done the staff asked if everything tasted ok. My wife had barely touched her food and told her it wasn't any good. She offered to replace it but we declined because we didn't expect any different from the replacement. But it was still left on the bill even though it wasn't eaten. So the food was all around bland and they are under staffed. Won't be returning.

Whether I'm there for brunch, lunch, or dinner, I have to order the mussels in garlic white wine sauce every single time. I still haven't found mussels that beat Trattoria's, and I've tried quite a few, even in Maine. If you're indecisive about your entrée, don't worry. I promise, no matter what you order, you're going to love it. The pasta is freshly made, and you can truly taste the difference. Their espresso martinis are also one of a kind. The staff is always attentive, welcoming, and makes the whole experience feel special. From the outside, the restaurant may look small, but once you're inside, there are different rooms, multiple floors, and even an outdoor dining area that feels like it transports you straight to the streets of Sicily. This place is truly Italy on a budget, and if you get addicted like I did, don't say I didn't warn you.

When I called, they were not super busy and the hostess easily reserved us a table for our arrival. I ordered their signature dish, the homemade tagliatelle with Bolognese...I have to say that I was disappointed by the Bolognese. It wasn't made with the traditional beef/veal/pork mixture. It was made with an Italian spiced sausage. The flavor of the Italian sausage dominates the dish. It's too strong. I hope management reads this and possibly makes a change. The rest of the food was good as usual. Our server did a good job.

Other than Asian cuisine, Italian food is one of my great loves. And I think this place has a charming interior, good service, and some terrific food. I really only had two things: a small Caesar salad as a starter and spaghetti carbonara. Both were excellent. Caesar salad may sound like nothing difficult, but many places drown their salad in Caesar dressing. This salad had a good balanced ratio and had a good crunchy texture instead of being soggy. And I hadn't had carbonara in a long time, but they do a really good one here. Prices also are reasonable for the quality. I have friends only a couple miles down the road from here.
