We used to get their pizza every week. It's pretty good pizza I think. We stopped due to reoccurring issues with delivery times being way off. This was made worse by the fact that there was no making it right other than an apology from the driver. No management offering a discount or apology/ explanation. A unheralded gem in Burke. Family owned and operated, I absolutely love this place. They are super nice folks, and this is one spot I do enjoy. I hope they get beer here, as the interior of the restaurant, is tables and a television. So want them to have several TV's with NFL, baseball and other sports entertainment. Almost every time I get to go. Their carry out deal is wonderful, because I'm a single dad of a rather large teenager. Thank you for this, as what blows my mind, this value and quality is hard to find. Their cheese and how it melts, and the crust are much better than you'd expect. It is located on the more industrial side of Burke Road, but this is worthy of your business. My girlfriend is "uptight" when it comes to wings. The ones here are perfectly crunchy, high quality, and fried to delicious. There are many types of sauces to choose from. Mangino's Pizza is the only place I know of that carries the Hercules pizza. Gyro meat, black olive, onions and green pepper on top of a white pizza with tzatziki sauce on the side which I like to slather on top. Every time I am in the neighborhood I order a medium or large Hercules to go. I tried their version of a Hawaiian pizza too and it was great. There is definitely oil dripping from the pizzas between the meats and cheese. I also tried their gyro in a pita and that was delicious too. Solid local pizza joint in Burke. We had a very small pizza, chicken tenders, garlic knots and zucchini fries. Favorite were the fries and everything was solid. Healthy business with carryout. Some people ate in and it is a bit of a suburban dive. Definitely recommend ordering online for pickup. Will be in our weekly rotation. read more

I walked here with my family a couple of weeks ago to pick up a large 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni pizza. We called while on the way there and it was ready upon our arrival. As I did not go in to pick it up, I can't speak to the inside of the restaurant, but I know they offer dine-in in addition to carryout. The pizza was one of the best I've had specifically in the Burke area. The crust was chewy yet also crisp, the pizza had just the right amount of grease, slices were cut large, and the pepperoni half was generous with the pepperoni and it was distributed evenly as well. They have a wide variety of specialty pizzas as well as pastas, wings, salads, and appetizers. I would choose Manginos over, for example, Pizza Bolli's, any day and look forward to satisfying my pizza craving here in the future. read more

I ordered a large with pepperoni and Italian sausage. What came is almost inedible, as it is really salty. Very disappointing, but can be made marginally better with Parmesan. I give this three starts because it's possible the Italian sausage was extra salty and so that cooking soaked down salting the whole pizza. Outer edge of crust is good, but ..wow. Maybe the sauce? Lazy days in Burke call for desperate take out food options! When my taste buds have disappeared due to 13 days of illness the urge for fried foods appears! We wanted sandwiches and Manginos menu was very tempting. They have a nice variety of appetizers including my favorite fried zukes and shrooms. The zukes were $4.99 and included a nice big portion. They were hot and included a choice of sauces. We also ordered a meatball sandwich that offered a large selection of fried sides for a small fee(.75-$1.50). I selected tots. The sub was perfectly toasted and had a nice portion of meat. The tots were so tasty with a pepper seasoning. We used the online ordering tool from Yelp. Since we paid via cash, no credit card was required. The tool is very easy and offers all the options for sides. Food was ready when we arrived. Well, after trying to give this local place another chance, I am disappointed again. Where's the beef? I order the same sandwich nearly every chance I get. I get the steak and cheese and add extra meat for $2.00. Tonight was extremely busy and they were swamped. It took longer than the promised 20 minutes. Ordered delivery. Heard their salads were packed full. Wasn't my favorite italian place for take out for a few reasons: 1. The salad I ordered didn't have as many toppings as expected based on the experience others had. It was pretty basic and had olives, a few tomatoes and cucumbers. Wasn't terrible, just wasn't spectacular either. 2. I ordered a "make your own pizza". One of the toppings was ricotta cheese. It looked as though they had it in a small tube and "squeezed" it randomly over the pizza. It was sparse and honestly looked a bit unappetizing. Was definitely not my idea of a pizza with ricotta cheese. I also ordered my pizza to have mozzarella slices- again did not turn out as expected when you think of the round, white "mozzarella slices" on a margarita pizza. Best local pizza in town! They got the best owners and super friendly staff that takes care of any requests. My favorite is the Manginos, Godfather, and the Brooklyn Bridge specialty pizzas. Heard about this place from a Facebook group. I was looking for a delivery spot with more than just pizza. I'm in love with this place and now I'm dying to try some of their other signature pizzas. The. BBQ Beef is excellent. Tender shredded beef, nice sauce to toppings ratio, crunchy bacon and red onions. I just tried the taco pizza and expected a hamburger pizza with some lettuce and tomato thrown on top. The taco seasoning gives the pizza a nice flavor. Another win. The burgers are massive and a favorite of my little ones. Try the cheese fries, they are also really good. I guess management has changed since all the posts about bad customer service. They are a little slow on delivery time, but they are always willing to call and communicate when they are behind before you have to call and inquire about their whereabouts. Excellent. Every single time I've ever ordered from them. Granted, sometimes it takes about an hour to get your dinner, but it's well worth the wait. The pizza is a great NY style crust. They do NOT skimp with the toppings. The tomato sauce is never too little or too much! It's always perfectly done. They must use a dough press because it's always even and perfectly baked every time. The Works fries are to die for. Very flavorful and so dang good. The fried mushrooms? Crispy and so delicious!! Not mushy like most places are. They really know what they're doing. Their steak and cheese subs are also very tasty. You just cannot go wrong with Mangino's.
