Terrible customer service, not lying. Some of you guys may have a better service because a different person serviced you. The menu is inconsistent. Letting them know my kid has an allergy (because that's what the menu CLEARLY says), I asked about substituting. The guy with the glasses (not the tall guy, I'm sure some are familiar who I'm talking about), is off put, not friendly, but said will substitute. I ordered a desert item from the image menu, then noticed they only substituted 1 scoop, but didn't substitute the 2nd scoop. The image only shows 1 scoop. What kind of OUTDATED menu this is?! Doesn't make sense to only sub 1 scoop. I asked him nicely about this. He says a charge of $1. He DIDN'T tell me about this beforehand. What kind of a communication was this?!?! I would pay the darn $1 extra if he said it and state the image error BEFOREHAND. Confusing menu and service! I looked at him, and said well, I'll just keep it, and not bother, BUT he gives a mini tantrum and walking away like a frustrated kid. What the heck?! I guess I should apologize if he has some mental issues so please let us know! This guy doesn't know how to communicate. Again, if you have some mental issues, please let us know. I came by Mango Mango after going to Claw City and had to cone check it out. They were packed! Had to come see what it was about. I ordered their fresh fruit with sage and jelly desert. The mango was ripe and tasty, the coconut ice cream was perfect and I loved that they added sticky white rice to the drink! Omg it was so good I couldn't put the drink down for more than a minute. This seems to be a newer addition to Katy's Asian town and a welcome one for me. I love mango and having another mango based dessert shop in the Houston area is great! Mango mango is a chain of mango/cantonese dessert shops that seems to be expanding quite a bit. I first had it out in Philly, then Cleveland, and now Houston/Katy. This particular store is spacious and staff was super welcoming and nice. They explained the menu, walked up and welcomed us, and also bring out your food and bus the tables if you dine in. I ordered the A1. Signature mango sago pomelo with mango ice cream and sadly, thought it was fairly mid. I'm not super surprised as I got it outside of mango season so didn't expect the tastiest mangoes. However, the flavors and textures were still good. The mango coconut puree was smooth and not icey, sago well cooked and not raw/crunchy. This isn't all too close to me but definitely a spot I'd stop by if I'm in the area. I would definitely go back my only complaint is that the staff touches cash amongst other things, the boy who served us was touching his face then touched our spoons the part that goes in your mouth. I would highly recommend training the employees on being more careful as the silverware is not wrapped. Germs and bacteria can be spread from the employees touching their face, money, etc onto the silver ware and that is disgusting. We will definitely go back, but we have been discussing probably taking our own spoons. read more

I've come to really love Mango Mango. It's quickly become one of my favorite dessert shops. The set up is bright and inviting and I already know that I'm going to get good service - there's no doubt about it. What really has me coming back is the dessert!! Despite having been here many times, I have yet to try everything on the menu, though I'm sure we'll get there one day. Depending on the day, I'll get cake or sometimes their frozen dessert and if I'm feeling extra fancy I'll also order their hot tea sets. Having the option to choose from a wide variety is comforting and I can confidently say I've never had anything that I haven't liked. Though I do have favorites... My friend and I were looking forward to the mango sticky rice, and it did not meet our expectations unfortunately. The rice just felt kind of hard to scoop into, and it didn't have the texture we were hoping for. Taste wise, it was just like regular white rice and nothing more than that- it came with a side of panna cotta + coconut milk to pour on top but that didn't add much depth to the dessert. The only things we did enjoy were the mango slices, which were soft and sweet, and the mango ice cream, which was creamy and had a subtle mango flavor. I got a peach lychee milk drink with lychee jelly... and it wasn't great but it wasn't terrible either. I didn't ask for any adjustments to my drink whatsoever, but it really just tasted kind of bland to me. I couldn't necessarily taste the lychee or the peach. The flavors were muted, and the flavors I did actually get came from the toppings themselves at the bottom. The interior of the place is nice, and they have booths and tables to sit at. They even have some games up front to borrow if you're hanging with friends. Also, they give 10% off your order if you leave a Yelp or google review. The cashier was friendly, but he also didn't seem to be paying the greatest attention as he was multitasking. I had to remind him about the discount cuz when he rung me up, the total for my one drink was a little over $9, and I was like ain't no way that's with the discount lollll. The normal Katy Asian town plaza was so full, we couldn't find parking so we went over to this brand new plaza and found dessert while we were waiting to meet my family. The desserts are quite pricey for a bowl of shaved ice and a drink was $16. I ordered the mango dessert with rice balls and ice cream. While it was good, I couldn't help but feel that there could have been more toppings for the price. It wasnt as good as some of the Chinatown shaved ice places like Snowy. My son also ordered a strawberry smoothie and it was good, but I could tell the strawberries were frozen and not fresh. The service was fine. I stopped here for dessert after dinner in Katy Asia town with my parents. I like going here, especially if I'm with Asian parents because I know there's plenty of fruit options and they will give the best compliment a dessert can have -"it's not too sweet". We tried a few different items. I got to try the strawberry and mango bowl, which was like a strawberry purée on one side with a mango purée on the other and a scoop of mango ice cream on top. That's a nice refreshing dessert if you want something cold for the hot day. If you want something that's less mango forward, I would suggest the mixed fruit with coconut milk since that has a nice creaminess to it along with strawberries, mango, cantaloupe, and bananas. The mango sundae was also good and straight forward if you're looking for more of an ice cream dessert. I also tried the formage cheesecake, which feels like a redundant name, but it was quite rich and decadent. The tables and floors were all spotless. Given that the interior is mainly white, I'm surprised at how clean they're able to maintain the store with how busy it gets.
