    Nachos Machos with ground beef

Very lively environment. My sister and I were walking past this place looking for the food truck pop-up in downtown Mesa. As we walked past we could smell the aroma of the Mexican food coming from there. By the time we made it to the corner our stomachs were growling and we said let's just go back to that spot that smelled so good. When we made it back there was a nice crowd of people dining in and outside as well as a few people in line to order. We got in line and the person taking our order was super friendly and helpful. Our nachos came out not too long after placing the order. The nachos were so tastey. The chips were very fresh and the toppimg were too. I asked if they could substitute the shredded meat options with ground beef and they were able to accommodate. The ground beef was hot and there was a nice portion of it . They were out of their hot salsa but the mild one was good. There are plans to go back and try more off the menu, but those nachos hit the spot for that time.

The staff are all very kind and very hard workers! Our party had a variety of items but the crispy tacos and chips and salsa were our favorite! You order, pay, get a number, THEN grab a table and your food will be brought out hot and fresh.

I've passed this place plenty of times without having the opportunity to stop in and that was definitely a mistake. The food here is the BOMB and the inside is super cute and colorful. I had the Carne asada chimichanga and it was soooooo good. I almost ate the entire thing but I still had a lot of walking to do so I grabbed a to-go box instead. I loved the chips and salsa too, the chips are the perfect kind that you can tell are made in-house because they aren't too thin or too thick, and the salsa is the perfect amount of chunky. Highly recommend this place for a quick bite. We had a table of 8 and they were still very attentive with the restaurant filling up with fellow scavenger hunt folks.

This is an adorable little spot in Downtown Mesa to enjoy authentic Mexican food! We stopped by Mango's around 2 p.m. on a weekday after hiking all morning, and found this was the ideal way to refuel after a trek through the Superstitions. You order at the counter inside the restaurant, and then choose your table either inside or outside. The decor is colorful and fun - and we ended up sitting on the patio to enjoy some Arizona sunshine. My husband and I each ordered the Killer Burrito with shredded chicken, which was packed full of flavor and served in a handmade tortilla. We also split an order of the perfectly crispy chips, and delightfully fresh salsa and guac. Mango's is also known for its rotating selection of Agua Frescas, so we sipped on a few of those alongside our meal. The limeade was my favorite -- not too sweet, not too tart. I absolutely recommend Mango's to anyone looking for a taste of classic Mexican cuisine. We'll be back the next time we're in town!

My mom, daughter, and I stopped here after visiting the museum. This was my dad's recommendation to us while we were in downtown Mesa. He told us to get there quickly because it will get busy for lunch - he was right! We got there perfect timing where there was a couple clear tables. We sat down and looked at the menu (pictured) and there was plenty of choices! My mom got our order so we could hold the table. We got chips and salsa for our table while we waited. There was a mild salsa and a spicy one. Me and my daughter went for the mild and it was so tasty! If I let her she would've finished the whole basket. Our food was amazing! The kids meal my daughter got was well portioned. It was one taco and beans and rice. I got a combination plate with the taco and cheese enchiladas and it was amazing. I usually don't like restaurant enchiladas but it was actually well done. The taco was a chicken taco and it was also well done. It had a nice crispy shell to it. The bathroom to this place is actually located in the back. You have to walk through the kitchen to get to it. From the looks of everything the kitchen is very clean! It was cool to see that in a restaurant and makes you confident in your food. Overall I will definitely be coming back here! It was the best Mexican food I'd had in a while. My daughter and I both completely finished our plates! My recommendation is get there for early lunch to beat the traffic. Me and my mom saw a lot of people walk in and then walk out disappointed with no more seats available. If you find a table (outside options too) I highly recommend eating here!

Mango's does not disappoint! This is our fifth or so visit. It's our go-to place for dinner when in Mesa for a concert at the Mesa Arts Center. The food is consistently great and the service is very friendly. The decor is unique; like being in old Mexico. A fun place to bring the family or, like us, for a date night. The sidewalk patio is a great spot on a nice night.

We wanted authentic Mexican food and Mango's Mexican cafe was our solution. The place looked really nice and welcoming when we came in. When we walked in, we went to the line at the counter and started picking out what we wanted to eat. The line went by quickly and it wasn't that hard to find something good to eat. We ordered at the counter and then found a spot for us to sit. We were expecting a long wait time but the food game by really quickly and our waiter was very nice. I ordered the crispy tacos, my partner got the veggie burrito and limonade, Andy sister got the kid crispy taco. Overall the food was fresh, authentic, and best of all delicious. As we were eating, we enjoyed the vibe of the place, the music was nice, it was small yet cozy, and the workers made an effort to keep the table and the rest of the place clean so the next set of customers would easily find a spot that isn't full of crumbs or other messes. I could tell the people here work with pride and hard work. I would totally come back here again.
