I was offered to use a Geico insurance shop and have my free rental waiting at the shop. That was one out of three options , that was the one I picked I ended up being told Manhasset Collision would be my shop. I looked up there references and saw pictures like I posted before and after and reference Instantly felt relieved Manhasset collision is a big, clean honestly run shop. When I got there it is different then other repair shops in that it is beautiful to visit there big clean office .As I waited on a beautiful black leather new sofa ( not a dirty auto shop) My manager whom I dealt with wasSteven. So informative, calm and a very clean gentleman. I so enjoy doing business with him. It made it so easy. I can't even begin to tell you.. There was complete clarity with me with everything they were doing to my car. They called me every 3 days with updates They let me know everything being done as they went along. I was given a new rear door , new bumper. It is a shop that follows by the manufacturer s book , how you wish for your car to be done I also want to add they detailed the inside and outside of my car before returning it, I felt like my car was new again !! Great communication- received an update on my car every Tuesday or Thursday and by the time I know it- 10 days later...It was done earlier than anticipated. They did an amazing job on the repair and paint, even cleaned it really well inside & out making it look as good as new. I was a couple of weeks away from having to turn in my leased Enclave SUV, and since it was a lease, I had to get it repaired before giving it back. Allstate gave me 2 repair places in my area (Great Neck) that would guarantee the work (i.e. against lease penalties) since my SUV was rear-ended by a large commercial truck while stopped at a red light. I chose to take it to Manhasset on a recommendation from a trusted body shop friend, and all I can say is that I'm glad I took it to Manhasset. Here are the facts: * They fixed the massive body damage, including sensors, in exactly 1 week * They kept me up to date with what was pending, and made sure to have all the parts before I dropped it off, so that I would would lose access to the car as little as possible. * They were very courteous and respectful * They went above and beyond and fixed several things that were wrong, not to do with the original accident * The car smelled awful since I'd left the sunroof open and it rained into the car, and then was moldy after that. When I got the car back from Manhasset, it literally had a new-car smell. I don't know how they did that * The car was washed, inside and out, and was immaculate. This is the second time I have brought my vehicle here for repairs, I was happy with the repairs from the first time. This shop is an authorized repair shop for my insurance, State Farm. They listen to my concerns, do what they say they will, communicate well, take ownership if wrong part was sent, vacuum and clean the windshield from the rings where my Ram phone holder normally sits. Avoid this shop at all costs!! They did defective work (exhaust leak, trunk leak, body ripples, gas pump leak, among other things), used junkyard replacement parts, and misrepresented it all on the bill. They held the car for over 4 weeks and returned it undrivable. read more
