This place was awful from the moment we placed our order. We got 3 bagels, 1 sandwich and two toasted, coffee, OJ and water. As we paid people were walk around behind the counter where the food was, an old guy and a young child. I assume it was the family of the owners but very unprofessional. After we paid, we sat down to wait for our food. All the tables were dirty. As we were sitting for a while we noticed how dirty everything was. And the guy who rings you up is the same guy how makes the iced coffees but uses all them by the customer side. So he constantly getting ice, coffee, syrups. No coffee behind the counter. Very strange... When I went up to check where our food was she women said can I help you, I said I'm just waiting for our food. She said we are very busy. They were not busy, extra family behind the counter created extra chaos. She then asked who took my order? So now I'm my job to remember who took my order? Isn't it there job to do that? There were 4 teenage boys who all look the same, I had no clue. That's why I'm standing there. The bagels were skinny and thin, not even good. Egg was overcooked and try in the breakfast sandwich. Standard Manhattan Bagel shop on Ferry Road just north of Doylestown. Far from the best New York bagels I have enjoyed, but also far from the worst. Consistency is their super power. They lack a crisp crust, but provide lots of topping and better than decent core. Coffee is B+, but is always hot and strong. I went with an Onion Bagel with Veggie Spread, untoasted. Their cream cheese had oozed out of its circle by the time it was opened at home, making for messy fingers with every bite. Glad I remembered to add napkins to the bag before leaving, and had me wonder why the staff didn't add them automatically. Probably a missed training session by management. Still, the small shop was clean and the staff alert and friendly (but for the napkins). On a beautiful weekend afternoon, I was in an understanding and forgiving mood. I order the same thing every time. -toasted salt bagel, with cream cheese- Every time it's made correctly. This is a comparison versus this location and Chalfont. Same bagel here is $3.38 vs $4.12 in Chalfont. Make any sense? At Chalfont, you literally have an entire crew who can't literally read "please toast bagel" no matter how many times you've asked (9 occurrences they f'd up) This location has been incredibly consistent. One of my favorite stops on the weekend, because our weekends seem to be so darn busy anymore, is the Manhattan Bagel on Rt 313 and Ferry Road. This fantastic place, as small as it is, is also filled with friendly faces preparing made-to-order sandwiches and coffee drinks. And yes, folks, they even have my favorite, a gluten-free bagel sandwiches too! You can have yours made anyway you like it. My suggestion: filled with egg, cheese, spinach and avocado ! Not sure what happened but the bagels I bought this past weekend were not nearly as good as the bagels in the past. They must have changed the recipe as they no longer are dense like NY style bagels and now just taste like rolls with holes. Also they were way over cooked and dark and burnt tasting. I stopped in here for a late breakfast and to do some work only to find out that they don't have WiFi! Womp womp. I was really hungry though so I decided to grab a quick bite before heading elsewhere to get my work done. The thintastic avocado and egg white bagel that I got was great. It was a simple and healthy breakfast option which is exactly what I wanted. It was prepared quickly so bonus points for that! Staff members were so friendly, especially the gentleman who prepared my breakfast sandwich. He struck me as one of those people who genuinely enjoys what they do - I love that! With a good bagel and coffee selection, a decent amount of seating, friendly staff and reasonable prices, this was a nice spot to stop in for breakfast... now if only they had WiFi! read more

Visited Manhattan Bagel for the first time since the pandemic. Service was efficient, and all staff were properly masked, Unlike some places, they fix your coffee for you. My light and sweet came out fine. Bagels were plentiful so I did not have to compromise on my choice. My sausage breakfast sandwich was cooked perfectly as was my toasted bagel with lox spread. The lox spread did not appear to have any lox in it, the way some shops do, but more essence of salty fish. Next time, I will choose something else. All in all a safe, good experience. read more

My Nova Lox bagel was amazing! I was a bit late as they were out of garlic bagel and quite a few others. I had the caramel coffee chiller and it was some of the best iced coffee. When I was looking at the bagels and muffins, I noticed that, because the case was open in back, there were flies crawling all over the bagels and other items in the case. Always love coming here! Even though there is a line during peak times (mornings and weekends) the staff take orders and prep very quickly! They also bring to your table. Dirty with no customer service.. Ran in for a quick cup of coffee and totally regret it. Had to write a review because I was so annoyed by the whole encounter. Couldn't run a credit card without a manager. Ran out of iced coffee after selling me an iced coffee but told me to just put the hot coffee in the plastic cup. (Um no that's not even safe to use cold cup plastic on a hot beverage, not to mention it would've been way too hot to hold, even with ice- which then it would be watered down.) I asked for a hot cup instead, to swap to a hot coffee, and it took 5 min to explain why-- they gave me the smallest size cup---even though I bought a more expensive size large iced coffee in the first place. Got the mini cup, after explaining I was in a rush and just wanted to get any type of coffee. No cream out for coffee anywhere, so I asked for creamer. They ran out. Never offered a refund or anything. They finally found some whole milk for me in the back, after questioning 3 employees. No cream or 1/2&1/2 left. Ants on parade by beverage station. Two stars, but we're not going back. They have no concern for customers, won't take coupons for different branches of Manhattan Bagel, and aren't flexible with the menu. IE, my husband wanted the roll pictured on the board, and they insisted that they could only do that if they upcharged the item and added another egg. Generally poor service. It's a franchise, but this place is decidedly worse than any other Manhattan. They refuse to do an egg over easy and are extremely rude if you even ask. The other thing this place needs to fix is the fact that you have to order your meal twice. First you tell the person what you want and they write it down (give you attitude) then go make it. Then you have to go to the register and repeat your entire order. Who is the brains behind this process?? It's bad for the customer but also bad for business and makes you less efficient.
