Standard Manhattan Bagel shop on Ferry Road just north of Doylestown. Far from the best New York bagels I have enjoyed, but also far from the worst. Consistency is their super power. They lack a crisp crust, but provide lots of topping and better than decent core. Coffee is B+, but is always hot and strong. I went with an Onion Bagel with Veggie Spread, untoasted. Their cream cheese had oozed out of its circle by the time it was opened at home, making for messy fingers with every bite. Glad I remembered to add napkins to the bag before leaving, and had me wonder why the staff didn't add them automatically. Probably a missed training session by management. Still, the small shop was clean and the staff alert and friendly (but for the napkins). On a beautiful weekend afternoon, I was in an understanding and forgiving mood. Dropped the coin change into the tip jar and was on my way.

I order the same thing every time. -toasted salt bagel, with cream cheese- Every time it's made correctly. This is a comparison versus this location and Chalfont. Same bagel here is $3.38 vs $4.12 in Chalfont. Make any sense? At Chalfont, you literally have an entire crew who can't literally read "please toast bagel" no matter how many times you've asked (9 occurrences they f'd up) This location has been incredibly consistent. I've never had an issue here; while I've had nothing but issues at Chalfont.

Bagel with less than 1/2 Tsp of cream cheese.

Stoped by to get a bagel today. Unfortunately, took it to go and didn't inspect it first. Very little cream cheese - very, very little. Seriously? When you figure out the cost per bagel, this is the amount of cream cheese you provide. $4.12 for a bagel with less than 1/2 Tsp of cream cheese. Very disappointing.

A typical Manhattan Bagel location with friendly staff and quick service. I was a little disappointed in the coffee bar area, it was not as clean as I was hoping and many of the items needed to be refilled. The staff happily refilled the items (iced coffee pot and milk) that I had asked for without a problem. The food that I ordered was delicious!

Ordered 2 bagels and one breakfast sandwich and all of the bagels were completely burnt. This isn't the first time either.

    Burnt rock of a bagel!

I happened to stumble upon Bagel Barn while heading to a doctor's appointment, and I'm glad I did--I found the needle. This place is 100% legit. These bagels have exactly what I look for: that deep, dark-baked color and a distinct crust on the outside, opening up to that perfect, characteristic chew that only a real NY-style bagel possesses. The Standouts: The Everything Bagel: A classic that does not disappoint. The Everything Asiago: Stop the presses! This is a hidden gem and a total must-try. The Cold Brew: I won't even ask how they make it; something that good just deserves to be paired with an amazing bagel. The "Purist" Test: On my first visit, they asked if I wanted my bagel toasted. As a purist, if the bagels are being made fresh, I don't want them toasted unless I'm eating them days later at home. The fact that this bagel held up perfectly without being toasted proved to me that this is, hands down, the best place to buy bagels in the area. The Service: The cherry on top is the ownership and the staff. I've been in three times now, and the team is consistently warm, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you, Bagel Barn, for bringing a real piece of home to PA!

Let me start by saying that even before they sold the quality went down - cheap ingredients for sandwiches. But now that they've sold not even the bagels are good. Grant it I did pick up a "too good to go order" but compared to other bagel locations the cost was high and the freshness was so bad and the variety. I know I can't fully judge the quality because I didn't order fresh but their prices are ridiculous and the service was bad. So unfriendly and didn't ask if I wanted anything else just minimal contact and then I had to wait to buy other stuff because the person at the counter walked away. I won't be back. It's sad because out of all the bagel places in the area - doylestown to horsham to chalfont they used to have the best bagels and I can't find a place that is even remotely close to the quality they used to produce.

Went to pick it up, and though no one else is there, the gentleman took a while to come out. When I asked if the bagels were sliced he said no, that was $3 extra. I didn't have my phone on me to show him the website where it clearly says sliced for the trays. Then I asked about the cream cheese, as there was none in the bag. He said no cc, then checked the receipt, which said 1 plain cc, though the website says 1 plain 1 flavor with the small tray. I began to walk out to get my phone to show him and he aquiesed and gave me the cc. Then, when he pulled out my tea, he noted the reciept saying no ice. He shows me a cup 3/4 full of ice and asks if this is ok. I said no, I save the tea for my afternoon treat at work, and by then it'd be all water. He sighed and filled a new cup. Honestly, I was unaware of the ownership change, but I am sorely disappointed. Will not be coming back. Oh, and he still charged me $3 for slicing.

One of the coolest things is that they make all their bagels on site -- you can literally see the trays of fresh dough and the team working in the back. It gives such a homey, authentic vibe that you don't get at most bagel places anymore. We both ordered breakfast sandwiches, and they were incredible. I had the jalapeño cheddar bagel with egg, spinach, Swiss, mushrooms, and scallion cream cheese. It was creamy, flavorful, and the bagel itself was perfectly chewy with that little jalapeño kick. My husband got an everything bagel with the same egg/veggie combo and vegetable cream cheese, and he loved every bite. We also ordered their pumpkin cinnamon latte, and WOW -- you can actually taste real pumpkin in it, not that artificial syrup flavor. It was cozy, perfectly spiced, and honestly one of the best pumpkin drinks we've ever had. The service was friendly, the place has that small-town charm, and the food tastes like people who care made it. If you're anywhere near North Wales, this is absolutely worth stopping in for fresh, made-on-site bagels and great coffee. Highly recommend!

We went there this morning to pick up a raisin challah - we were making French Toast! The challah is excellent - rich, soft and sweet, it has a tender, delicious taste. The raisins added an extra touch of sweetness to the French Toast. Then there are the numerous pastries and cookies. We decided to get a few Hamentashen (chocolate and poppy), a raspberry croissant, a chocolate and a raspberry rugelach, and the most amazing looking Sticky Bun. I'll start with the Sticky Bun. It was exceptional; a soft, fluffy, and slightly chewy dough - challah like, but denser. It was laced with a sticky, caramelized glaze, studded with raisins and walnuts. It was 'melt in your mouth delicious', and a must try. Next up - the raspberry croissant. This is not your typical croissant - I'm used to the plain, or chocolate - I can't recall having a raspberry croissant before. It's one of the best I've had. It combines a flaky buttery croissant with a sweet, tart raspberry filling. The Hamentashen were good - the chocolate was better than the poppyseed - as the later needed much more Mohn (poppyseed paste). The rugelach was good; the raspberry was too sticky, but the chocolate was fine. If you're near Elkins Park, and you haven't tried Rolings Bakery, it's time you did!
