Not sure what happened to this place. It used to be very good at one point but it seems that as the franchise expanded, they got greedier just like every other fast food corporation. I haven't complained publicly before but this is the third time in a row where I've received terrible quality of food. Our bagels literally had no cream cheese in it and they forgot my hashbrown. Who wants to pay $5+ for basically just a bagel? Prices are ridiculously high and I feel like they keep increasing them every few months too. Hate giving bad reviews but money is tight for people these days so I will post. Ordered a pork roll and cheese sandwich and there was literally 3 of the thinly sliced pork roll that I ever seen. (Like deli ham thin). That is ok if you put enough on but in this case it was only 3 slices so the sandwich was mostly the bagel itself. I am appalled at the breakfast that was delivered to my house today. I ordered a Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich. There was two half slices of Taylor ham that were so thin you could see through. If I can give them less than one star I would. I ordered a simple muffin and egg and cheese on a bagel and didn't check it until I got to work which was about 20 minutes away. When I checked they had put bacon on my sandwich and that is against my religion and instead of giving me a poppy bagel like I had asked they gave me a sesame bagel. When I contacted the store I asked if they can just give me a refund for the sandwich and that the muffin was OK they said we cannot give you a refund. The bagels taste alright but they don't warm everything up... so I ordered a bagel with stuff on it (can't remember the name) and the cheese wasn't melted at all and it was barely warm even tho it was just made. If I can only give this Manhattan Bagel no stars then I'd definitely would. My wife stopped by for a pork roll, egg and cheese sandwich and politely asked the order taker to put some freshly cooked egg on it. As you know, from a customer's standpoint in front of the register you'll be able to see what's going on on the grill and the kitchen. There were cold, pre-cooked eggs on top of foils on the counter that's been sitting for God knows how long. Who would want that crap in your sandwich? Mind you, it was the owner who's doing the grill so he was definitely the one who prepped those eggs. The one who took my wifes order insisted that the egg that they put in her sandwich is fresh. So my wife again politely asked if they can just make her a new one. All of a sudden crew members of this establishment ganged up on her and saying nasty stuff about her being a food snob, that she was bullying them and asking her "What do you want to do now with this sandwich, waste it??!!" Who the heck are you to ask your customer some nasty question like that??!! Ok the regular staff workers are great Recently they have hired teenagers that appear to be family members who aren't writing down the correct orders, can't spell or don't know the difference between a salt and sesame bagel On weekends they are getting the orders wrong 50% of the time. Don't leave there unless you check your order especially when they don't repeat the order back to you when they go to ring you up. Stopped in this morning around 630 am for the first time for a quick breakfast. The place is adorable and was very clean and neat. I was in a rush and thankfully there was no one else there. I was taken care of nicely and quickly. The prices are comparable to your local DD but with much better FRESH coffee and bagels.
