Very poor customer service. I tried to use a Local Flavor coupon I purchased through Groupon. The manager/owner said he would not redeem it because it didn't have a qrc code. I was thrilled to see a Manhattan Bagel in our area again. I stopped here the other morning and picked up a sesame bagel, toasted with butter and a bottle of water. The bagel could have been sliced more evenly, but otherwise it was great. Both girls working the registers were very pleasant and I do like that they call you by your name - nice personal touch. Went there today to see if it had improved. No. First, the cute girls that used to take ones order are gone, now there is a non-English-as-a-first-language dude there to mess up instead. It took a few back and forth exchanges to get my order taken - a Large coffee, a juice and a toasted cinnamon-raisin bagel with just a little cream cheese. Well I got an untoasted bagel with lots of cream cheese which I had to remove. I should have known that there was no way that the details were going to make it thru the language barrier. Bagels are nothing spectacular and they are way over priced, sandwiches are good but again too expensive. Eggs and Taylor ham are cheap and they gouge you for a breakfast sandwich. My husband loves the lox bagel and they prepare it quick and yummy. I wasn't sure what I wanted but the guy that took our order was able to give me patience and a suggestion with a smile. I had a delicious berry smoothie with our meal. I only wish they had a low sodium/carb menu too. The owner doesn't believe in supporting military active duty members or veterans who defend this country. My first visit to this establishment was last week. I only visited the eatery because it's adjacent to the cleanser where I dropped my wife clothes off. When asked the employees if they honor employee discount the employee said yes. I appreciated that support so I returned back. I didn't return back to support the eatery not before my food was delicious or flavorful. I'm from New Orleans so that's difficult to ask from the land of southern flavor paradise. I returned the second time this week and the owner served me and he was kurt and blunt when I asked for a a military discount. The owner said, I don't give discounts to military because I wouldn't be able to afford to pay my rent". I was offended and informed the owner I will not be returning. The owner gestured with his shoulder saying so what and I don't care. I'm not saying a business has to support the military that's their God given right. Manhattan bagels are really good , The place is always clean and they always have fresh spreads. The staffs always nice and friendly and patient when making your orders .. I ordered a bagel with a spread and it was delicious , I actually went back and ordered a second :) I know i wanted to beat my self up later on when i realized i ate 2 bagels { carbs } but it was so good and worth the extra time at the gym :) read more

This has been my new go-to place for quality food. Their sandwiches, esp. my usual Taylor ham and cheese sandwiches, are very well put together with a generous assortment of fresh bagels/rolls. They have several options of coffee flavors and many cold beverages like Vitamin Water, Nesquik, fruit drinks and more. The staff is always nice and the prices are fair. Today I ordered a Taylor ham & cheese sandwich with extra meat on an Asiago bagel, a hash brown and a large coffee. Paid under 10 bucks which is arguably less than average for a meal now in NJ. The food is very fresh. However, the service is very poor and incredibly slow. The first time I went, it took 9 minutes for a turkey sandwich and there was no one in front of me. The girls behind the counter were more concerned about gossiping then doing their job and making sandwiches. The second time, today, with one person in front me waiting for a bagel with cream cheese, I waited 13 minutes for a turkey sandwich. 3 people behind me left before I did. They have no idea how to read the display screen of what people ordered. They have no acknowledgement of time and time management. You would think that after the amount of time I waited, my sandwich would be correct, and it wasn't. They need to get with it by improving their customer service, focusing on their job, and having better time management. I will pay what they charge for a simple sandwich because it's good quality, but waiting for an excessive amount of time, is a huge turnoff. I will not return any time soon. read more

They frequently have a problem getting orders correct. At least part of that is the language barrier. Part of it is incompetent help.

Okay, I made an account because I feel i really need to express my opinion on this location. I go here regularly primarily because I love their ice coffee. They also make great bagel sandwiches (when they actually make them correct). I have lost count of the amount of times they have screwed up my order. I am a very laid back dude who hates to complain, but it is ridiclous how often this happens. I enjoy going there so its a shame that i get screwed over, whether its missing ketchup salt pepper,or taylored ham, or bacon! it happens frequently to the point i hand write my order so they can get it right and that still doesn't guarantee a perfect order. I hope the staff reads this because I love to go to the location but i am reaching my limits. read more

I have TRIED for about 5 months now, to give this place a chance to get better. It just doesn't. The employees are, on the whole, VERY nice people. BUT, the service is not good. My order is incorrect or missing something most of the time. Will not be going here anymore. The staff needs better communication in order to fix their service problems. read more

I stop by almost everyday before work! They got to know me by name which is always nice to feel personalized. They food is good and I enjoy their white chocolate mocha latte. The only down side is that it does take a little while to get what you ordered and the line can be massive some mornings by the staff is always really friendly. I would recommend it for anyone getting breakfast before work. read more

Go to Pop's Bagel instead! Had a buttered Asiago bagel at another Manhattan Bagel location and loved it so thought I'd stop and get from Wharton location. It was more like a "wish" bagel - wish it actually had some butter on it. So next time, I asked for Asiago bagel with plenty of butter and off I went with another "wish" bagel as it turned out. Next time asked for same and got same but checked before I left and gave back for more butter. This morning I thought I'd try ONE MORE TIME. I asked for it with PLENTY of butter. The guy who barely spoke English said something a couple of times which I could not understand. I said again I want PLENTY of butter. He said condescendingly that I just have to ask for butter - that's all I have to say. I told him that I want more butter than usual and ask every time and have to give it back to have more added. So I get my bagel and check before I leave and see 7 molecules of butter so back to him I go and said "I asked for plenty of butter and you did not tell the person so I did not get what I wanted AGAIN. I told him I will never return. He made a hand signal like slow down or simmer down. I'm tired of wasting precious time and will never go again. Pop's Bagels in Wharton is SOOO much better. I'm going to ask him to make an Asiago bagel and all will be right in the world again. read more

Everytime i go there i order the same thing yet they never take pride to cook the steak fully and when i got my meal today it was undercooked and the steak was still pink its a joke and unsanitary and yet i was gonna complain today but even me going to the counter i was standing there for 5 mins just to try and tell them my food was undercooked again wich also is the third day in a row i came and its not right so i just threw my 7$ meal in the trash i will never waste any time there again cuz they have no pride in making my food by cooking it properly so i will never ever go back again waste of time and money and they are all with bad attitudes working there dont go there and make the same mistakes i did just dont go there whats the point when they undercook everything u tell them to cook well done they are just to stupid to follow simple instructions im done fk that place and fk everyone who works there read more
