Stopped in while working in the greater Boise area. I had a delicious pastrami sandwich. Well cooked fries and friendly service. My table mates had the burger and fries. Absolutely huge, well cooked, juicy and topped with grilled onions upon request. I was almost envious, but there would have been no way i could have eaten even half. Great value for the dollar. The building in rustic and it's obvious that the locals drop by regularly. Check it out when you're in the neighborhood. read more

Ordered the Killer Reuben...nice aesthetics for a simple bite to eat on the go. Good portions, nice wait staff.

The food at the Bistro was very good quality. Pancakes were as large as the plate. All the meals were generous size, more than enough. Prices very acceptable. The only drawback is it appears it used to be an old bar and it needs to be fixed up a bit. If you just want good food and don't care as much about the atmosphere, this is an excellent place. This is not a terrible place, but overall it is just average. i had cheddar brocoli soup and a breakfast order of fried eggs, hash browns and toast. My husband had a sandwich. I have to say that the eggs were cooked beautifully with a bit of crispness on the edges and over medium just right. The interior of the restaurant is somewhat tired. read more

There are two dishes I usually order: finger steaks, which are the best in town, and the signature Loco-Moco. The Loco-Moco is a bed of hash browns, two hamburger patties, two eggs, on top of the patties, covered by rich beef gravy. It is almost as much "a heart attack on a plate" as fettucine alfredo. passing through town & stopped with group of seven. were seated & given coffee & ordered. neither waitress came back or even looked our way for 30 min. still no food after over 30 min. i got up & walked to kitchen entrance, got the waitresses attention & told her we'd been waiting over 30 min & we needed to leave, we had somewhere to be. i asked her if she put in our order. she pulled our order out of her apron, & said "here's your order. i'm so sorry." then she turned her back on me, walked over to the cook, showed him our ticket & talked with him. i said in a loud voice to be heard "i'm sorry but we need to leave." the cook looked at me & said "i'm sorry." the waitress never turned around to look at me. we left. we won't ever be back. i can understand mistakes but the mistake *could* have been caught had the waittress been attentive & refilled our coffee & water. no excuse for that poor service. read more
