Comfortable waiting area helps alleviate any "pre-dental-work" tensions, too :-) Only 2 minor quibbles: I'm 6'5 and the dental chair is a tad shorter than my body length (a common issue with big folks like me in any doctor's or dentist's office). Bringing along a small pillow for behind my head helped in my comfort: just a tip if you're tall. Also, because of my height, it was difficult to place myself bodily in their secondary x-rays-chair in one of their offices without contorting myself. But again: not everyone is 6'5 like me. The first set of xrays were the normal set taken in the dental chair which were not an issue...and they sufficed for the x-rays needed in my case. All that aside, Dr. Kim and the dental-office staff were great at their job(s), offer good dental advice and are pleasant to deal with. I'd recommend Norman Dental Center in Greenpoint to anyone needing care or cleaning. I wish my wife and I had discovered them earlier (we live nearby); we'd been going to another dental office, also in Gpt but farther away (I won't name them) and this not only was easier to get to but the care has been better, too. I adore the hygienist Kaylin, who is thorough, gentle, conversational without being gossipy, and has a phenomenal memory. She's honest and kind with her feedback and just a joyful person to be around. My teeth always feel cleaner with no discomfort. Never leave, please. Dr Kogan is fantastic, warm and straightforward. Dr DeVito is also great, quick to answer questions and provide reassurance. Both have excellent bedside manner, are professional, and easy to talk to. Also, everyone here has impeccable smiles. I get a text every six months reminding me to schedule a cleaning, and I can reliably get an appointment at a convenient time within a week. The office staff are organized and responsive. The rest of my fillings from many years ago were just fine. Basically, she did not let the composite fillings set in correctly and because of her poor technique they started leaking. I was having exposure to internal tooth decay around the filling, but could not reach it with a toothbrush, floss, or mouthwash if I tried. This meant her fillings likely made the cavities worse. I almost had to have two root canals because of her and the damage that has been done will likely put me at risk for future root canals. Avoid at all costs.

This dentist performed nine root canals and a placed nine porcelain fused metal crowns in a patient with autism, the patient went in asking for dental sealant and implants, Pannu recommended 11 root canals and crowns. The doctor also refused to do the implants until his recommended treatment was complete, and after his recommended treatment was completed he abandoned the patient and refused to admit that he had put porcelain fused to metal crowns in the patient even though the patient tried to verify half a dozen times that the right material was used. The patient initially said no to root canals, then Pannu disguise that treatment and recommended nerve treatment with a protective coating. The dentist milk Medicaid for $27,000 fraudulently, and the reason he would not use full ceramic crowns which is what the patient consented to in the end, is because he discriminated against the form of payment which was Medicaid, because he was selling cubic zirconia crowns for $3,000 a tooth. Do not go here, do not take your children here, this man committed intentionally negligent torts putting the patient at risk to line his own pocket while submitting this claim to the government and getting paid after falsifying the x-rays that he sent to the insurance.
