Personally at first bite I thought " this was a mistake" the crust is like under cooked gluten with no crunch, no flavor. Really disappointing. The sauce is ok but lacks zest. I usually order from either Manginos or Andolinis. I wanted wings and both places wings are a bit lacking in something. I decided to shoot for Manhattens. Great decision as their wings are awesome. Very good size and not over drenched in sauce. As for the pizza, they have some good specialty pizzas. Their Brooklyn bomber and the Wise Guys are some of my favorites and they have a good steak and cheese pizza too. I'll need to try their other items such as the calzones and pastas. I might be a little bit of a pizza snob because although there's no such thing as bad pizza, I generally find most chain pizza to be lacking. As a consumer, one thing you can really appreciate is a business owner who is active, engaged and willing to listen to customers. Jack, the owner of Manhattan Pizza contacted me after my initial review of two stars and said that he agreed with me and that he would change his chicken parm style and go with the traditional breaded chicken cutlet and he invited me to come back and try the restaurant again. I'm glad he did and I'm glad I went back. The chicken parm was just as it should be and really tasted good. The pizza my son had was good (my kids have always liked the pizza here), my wife enjoyed her caesar salad. Our server was very busy The french fries might be the best around, in my opinion of course. Jack does a lot for the community- I notice Manhattan Pizza is always involved in fundraising for sick children, local athletic teams and leagues, etc. and it is good to have a business owner who truly cares about his neighbors. Pretty good pizza. Not the best but good enough for delivery on a night you don't feel like cooking! As far as fresh ingredients go though, they definitely used canned mushrooms on my pizza. That is a major turn off for me as they have a much different taste from fresh mushrooms. Over all I would recommend if you're having people over and wanna order good and affordable pizza. But not if you're looking for a deliciously above average pizza, because you won't find it here. Their salads are actually really delicious though. The owner reached out to me and gave me a $25 gift card to come back and give them another chance. I always very much appreciate the effort -- so I gave an extra star. Unfortunately, I still didn't enjoy my experience. Got a cheese pizza which was very oily, you could almost see the oil dripping from it. I got another slice of pizza with three toppings which instead of being baked into the pizza, were thrown on top as an afterthought after the pizza was already baked. My experience with the Caesar Salad was the same as before -- the dressing is very sour and I hardly think it's worth paying $8 for a bunch of lettuce and it's extra charge for extra dressing. My fiancé like this place for whatever reason.. I don't... The pizza is trash. They seem to imply that they have New York style pizza based off of their name. Far from New York pizza. Anyway, he wanted it tonight so I figured I'd give the baked ziti a try. Once again disappointed....All it was was noodles, too much red sauce, a pile of too much melted mozzarella cheese and absolutely NOOOO RICOTTA CHEESE. I want to start by saying the food is awesome! But I just had the most awkward interaction with one of the employees over the phone. I placed a delivery order online. I pushed "order" a little too soon because we wanted to then add wings and mozzarella sticks to the order. So I called and asked to add on to my order that I literally just placed online but for some reason they made it seem like I was asking them to straighten the leaning tower of Pisa. First experience here. Ordered two of the baked ziti and a salad. Apparently missed on the menu that salad was included with entrée so ended up with three. Order was ready when I arrived a little early for pick up. Portions were VERY generous. Ziti was fresh and warm and had all the flavors we were looking for. We are in our late 70s so don't eat that much and ended up making two meals out of what we got. Salads with house Italian dressing were also fresh and delicious. There was Plexiglas between me and the person at the register who filled order, but I had to use their pen to sign the charge slip. I was a little unnerved at that point that she was not wearing a mask. Thus the four versus five stars. I will start out to say that it pains me to give a 3-star review. I have many fond memories of coming here and getting to know the staff. We tried going in because of one waitress who made the experience absolutely wonderful. The family who owns this place is nice and the many memories of coming in on Friday evenings will remain close to my heart. However, my 3 stars come from the inconsistency of their ingredients and penny-pinching. The quality has gone down while the price doesn't reflect what your purchasing. I end up buying grocery store pizza I can throw in the oven and prefer that over this pizza. Maybe my taste buds have changed? I don't know. I do know that this place used to purchase Boars head and no longer does so. I know that many changes have been made and it's not what it used to be. It makes me sad that this is no longer my go-to for this area. I lived in the Manassas Area for most my life growing up with Tonys and while this was a decent substitute for when I moved here I can no longer say that. I do hope that this place does well because they have a good thing. However, I want a better quality pizza now that I am not in college. Its one thing to compete with the other pizza places but another to be unique on its own. I don't want the same thing I can order everywhere else. This used to be a nice neighborhood place to go for pizza. We loved Da because she always recognized us and was super friendly. However, since COVID, it is a shadow of its former self and hasn't fully recovered. It's basically a carryout location now. Tonight we decided to dine in. There were 3 employees chatting at the front counter, so we seated ourselves (as usual). None of the workers came over to offer a menu or to get our drink orders. Thinking that maybe you had to order at the counter now, my husband went up to grab a menu in the event that one of the staff would either say they'd be right over, or that we could place our order there. None of them said a word to him, they just kept talking. We sat in our booth for a minute longer then decided to leave because we were basically ignored. read more

Overall the pizza was a decent but this review was more about the service we received tonight. We had called in for delivery as we were looking at the menu online. We decided on an extra large cheese pizza, an extra large pepperoni, mushroom and sausage pizza with a house salad. They repeated the order back to us and now is the waiting game. The pizza came an hour later and we were starving. As we open the pizza boxes we realize that they had messed up on our order. One of the pizza only had pepperoni and mushroom on half of the pizza. It would have been fine if they only forgot the sausage but seriously where was the other half of the pizza? I looked at the receipt and saw that we were charged and got a large when we ordered an extra large pizza. We called back in and the guy said they don't even have extra large pizza... if that was the case why didn't you say something when you repeated back the order. They stated that they would remake the pizza and send it back. After waiting another 40 mins our group of friends and kids were getting hungry and ate the other pizza. The same delivery guy came back with the correct pizza but then to ask us to return the pizza that was wrong. We looked at him and said that no one told us we had to give that one back and the children were hungry. After stating that he grabbed back the pizza he delivered and said we have to pay for this now. I was shocked at how he grabbed it out of my aunts hands. After telling him that it was the store mess up in the first place he then shoved the pizza back in my aunts hand and stormed off. I'm still baffled on how this interaction could have been avoided if the store told us that we would have to give it back. Pizza tasted good until we got to the crust. It tasted like the little frozen square cheap pizza you eat as a kid. With the toppings it was great but I can't get over how underwhelming the crust was. I also had a cheesesteak sub. It was OK. Something we really didn't like is that we tried to order at the counter and bring our food to the table like in a typical pizza place. They insisted on bringing it to us and serving us, not that we are cheap but we wanted to order at the counter to just do our own thing and felt obligated to tip the girls helping us at that point. While cleaning, I found a gift card to this place and thought why not give it a try? I ordered a large pizza with mushrooms, pepperoni, and fresh garlic. Any pizza place that has fresh garlic as a topping is bound to be good! We also ordered the garlic knots and French fries. My coworkers and I thoroughly enjoyed the food! I personally felt the garlic knots were just okay, but others liked it. The fries were extra crispy and were delicious. The worker was pretty new to the job, maybe even his first day. We got delivery here in the afternoon on a Saturday. It arrived pretty quickly and the driver was a nice guy. We got a bunch of different pizzas, but the one I mostly ate was a create your own. We had salami, pepperoni, ham, ricotta, and onions. It was a good pizza but nothing to write home about. They have a wide array of toppings and signature pizzas, nothing just really blew me away and we got four different pizzas. Decent delivery option that's better than the usual suspects (dominos, papa johns etc.) but don't think I would go and dine in here or be rushing to order out again. read more
