It was the second flat tire on my son's e-scooter. We had the most difficult time finding the correct tube to replace the flat and honestly we didn't want to deal with it anymore. So we tried to have solid tires mounted at a local tire shop with no success. So to make a long story short, I did a Google search and decided to go with Maninam, and I'm glad I did. They actually have two locations, one in Lawndale and the other in Huntington Beach; I went to the Huntington Beach location. What I liked about their business was that they had a really nice website that is laid out well, they service all brands of e-scooters, and scheduling for service was a breeze. I was greeted by Cyrus and Robert when I arrived at the shop. They were both very welcoming, nice, and informative. I left the e-scooter, went to lunch, and it was done! First I want to say the gentleman who helped me was super duper nice. He was very honest with me and told me that I got a piece of crap scooter. I acknowledge that I bought it on craigslist but it was new in the box. So it would not power up and I needed to diagnose it so I paid the $92 for a diagnosis. As it turns out it needed a new battery. But all the while these guys sell some higher and scooters and he's trying to sell me on a higher end scooter. Which is fine cuz the man's in business. So when the diagnosis came back I was going to cost another $250 to install a new battery. I found a battery on Amazon for a hundred bucks and change changed out myself and that works perfect. My Yume scooter has three rear tires go flat very quickly which made it almost unusable. No e_bike shop would help me. I found Maninam on Google. Their drop off process was easy and convenient. I was originally just planning on having the simply replace the rear tire, but their staff suggested replacing both tires with airless, this eliminating the potential for future problems. I had no idea this was an option so was grateful for the advice. Prices was reasonable and the scooter was delivered quickly and when promised. Definitely will be back. I searched everywhere to repair an electronic scooter. Even on Yelp there were only motor bikes (they were somehow categorized under electric scooter). Called into MANINAM and they were happy to take a look at my brake and my back wheel. They never said no we can't take it bc we didn't make it, they said leave it here and we'll get the parts and fix it for you. My scooter was not only fixed within 3-5 business days but there was consistent communication and updates from MANINAM. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness and diligence they put into the repair. I have always been interested in trying electric bikes and found Maninam by Googling "electric bikes for rent" and I couldn't have been more pleased to stumble upon Maninam. When I contacted Cyrus, the owner, he was prompt to respond and was very helpful and patient in answering all my questions, which I had a lot of. He even sent me pictures of all the different options of bikes available as well as scooters, which we rented the 2nd time around. The first time we rented we got the Xerxes and Alexo bikes which was perfect for beginners like us. In the pictures when I first checked out their website, it was hard to tell the size of the bikes since there wasn't anything to compare them to. To be honest at first, I thought they were for grade school aged kids because they looked small, but let me assure you the bikes were big enough for my bf ( 5'8") and I (5'2"). The 2nd time around I rented the Alexo again and my bf wanted to try the Esther 3 wheel scooter, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Another great service Maninam offers, at least the times we rented, was free delivery within I believe a 14 mile radius from their shop, but since I have a RAV4, we were able to put both rentals in my car with the seats folded down. He also has helmets that he provides with the rentals, but we chose to use our own. As with the previous reviewer comments, I definitely agree that it is evident that the owner cares about his customers and I would definitely recommend their company! read more
