We've visited here three times now, always on a Friday or Saturday and it's always packed!! Really fun place with good selection of bbq meats and seafood to please everyone in your group. Your entire party must be present to be seated, and you have a 2 hour max amount of time for this all-you-can-eat feast. Cooking yourself with grills in the middle of the table to share - it's a fun concept, similar to many other Korean BBQ spots around town. I wish there was a way to seat large parties together, as only 6 people can fit around one table and splitting up large groups does dampen the fun here. Quite possibly one of the best Korean BBQ places I've been to in Arizona. First off the place was super clean and the music ambiance was more casual than the hipster look. I went to lunch with my wife and it was a great experience. The service was super friendly as well. The addition of the movable vent hoods and call button made for less smoke and easy service calls for more meat. The meat itself was great: good cuts of meat with good marbleization. The marinated bulgogi was delicious as well. One of the huge pluses too was the meat was fresh and came out rolled (instead of the lukewarm meat I've been served before). Our only "beef" was that all he employees kept adjusting our grill level as if we didn't know how to cook. They kept turning it down and we'd readjust it right away. Every guest that we've brought or recommended here have returned. We think the quality of their meats and seafood are high. And they have 'the best 'marinated boneless galbi (beef shortribs) and bulgogi (thinly sliced rib eye). Their lightly dressed salad and steamed egg are also so delicious. They have a set dinner price and that includes unlimited ordering of the menu items except for drinks. The ban chan (small side dishes) are also served with the meal. Great KBBQ! For $21.99 (or $27.99 for the premium), this is really not bad for Arizona! Plus, coming from San Diego, seeing this location open up in my new home just makes my heart happy. Unless someone told you specifically where this place was, there really is no way you would even know this place existed. It's extremely tucked away in the corner of an empty plaza (You'll smell it before you see it) - but thank the lord no one knows about this place yet. Like others who have posted below, let them wait 2-4 hours at nearby Gen. This place is a silent weapon, just waiting to explode with ridiculous wait times when others learn about this place. Don't get me wrong, Gen is great, maybe even more superb to this place (especially the marinade and service) - but in terms of quelling the AYCE hunger, this place really does the trick without wasting precious time. I used to go to Cali or Vegas just to get AYCE in this barren desert and now they're suddenly popping up all over the place - it's mind-blowing! Here are some recommendations: - It is extremely smoky in here. When I got here, the owner had the doors open to blow out the smoke. Their hoods aren't doing a great job so be prepared if you get teary eyed easily. Hopefully, they fix this soon. - Get the A2 vs the A1. It's cheaper and honestly, has the meats most people want in an AYCE anyways. No point in paying more for - otherwise, I would recommend you go to Gen where they have the same options as A1 but cheaper. - Some portions are big, for a purpose. They tend to load up on the cheaper, fattier cuts like the bellies or brisket, to the point where it's almost 2-3x the portions of anywhere else. Actual meatier cuts like galbi and bulgogi are normal portions so you don't waste the good stuff. When ordering brisket or belly, ask for a half order or risk regret at trying to stuff yourself with filler fatty cuts. - They have an actual private room in the back so if you have a large party, this would be a great place - a benefit over Gen. - Service is currently still working out kinks, so you have to practice patience with this one for now. - If you've got elderly in your party, I honestly probably think this place is a better option over Gen. Not as crowded, noisy, dark, with chairs they can actually sit and relax in. Just a different vibe is all. read more

The food was good! I highly recommend getting the galbi. I would had gave it 5 stars but the waitress was a bit rude and we had to persist her to get us more rounds of food cause she doesn't check up on you. And lastly, it's very uncomfortable when she looks at the tip right when she picks up the receipt that you sign and judges you. A third Korean BBQ joint just miles away from the others! Yesterday was our first time here, and there was NO WAIT!! If you've gone to Gen at Tempe Marketplace, you've waited about 2.5 hours to 3 hours to get seated, not this place. It's hidden in a plaza in the corner which used to be a great childhood Chinese restaurant that we used to come to! Now for the price, there are two different menus to choose from. A1 and A2. A1 is $28.99 and A2 is 21.99. We went with the A2 since it had most of our favorite meats. The meats are very good cuts. The portions are a lot bigger than Gen so because of how much you order at a time, they aren't skimpy at all. They also have the steam egg which is one of my favorites!! The downfall is that they do not have rice paper. Overall the staff was wonderful, we met the owner who was really nice and called out whenever the tables around him needed a grill change. The concept is very similar to Gen, the options on the menu are less than what Gen offers but overall I would say meat quality is better here. read more

I am a regular customer at manna and today during a business meeting i had my worst experience while eating. The waitress was purposely skipping our table while taking orders, she brought us the wrong order, did not clear our empty glasses or trays. One other woman grabbed the tongs from a coworker working the grill and told him he was using the stove incorrectly. It was bad enough having to watch her wave her hand at the other employees like animals when instructing them to move out of her way. We will never be coming here again. Has variety of meat options and authentic flavor of side dishes including steamed eggs, salad, and flavorful Kimchi. Service was hit or miss in the past, but my friend and I had wonderful servers (Hey-Young and Jay) last Tuesday. This place used to be good. Came here with my girlfriend at 7pm on a Sunday. Tables weren't filled at all, there was no line for seating, and not a host in sight for 20 minutes before we had to flag someone down. They served us the sides from someone else's table that didn't touch theirs after they left, and we thought that was rough. My girlfriend was a bit disgusted and put the side dishes on an empty table. We ordered some food, initially it was pretty quick. After we were finished with the first round (which was only 3 things) , we literally waited 45 minutes. the bbq pan itself by this time was burnt black, and our drinks had been empty for a while. They seemed to notice us but turned away. By this time, the restaurant had been emptying out and we were maybe 1 of 3 tables still trying to eat. We eventually got up and talked to someone at their cash register. We didn't order anything else and just paid and left. Choose from $21.99 for basics or $28.99 for premium with steak and beef tongue. The beef deckle here is juicy and great quality. Pork belly was not impressive but will try again to see if it was a one-off. Kalbi decent and included in $21.99 set! They also have deliciously thin radish wrap but no rice paper. After our Thai Foot Massage, my friend and I came here to eat. When your craving Asian food around 9pm yay Manna was still open. This place hit the spot. All you can eat which they bring the meat to you and you grill it in front of you. It was so good. The best which I never had before was a thinly sliced pickled Daikon and you put your sliced meat in and whatever fixings wrap it and eat it. It was the best!! They didn't have lettuce to wrap our food like some Korean places do back home in Hawaii. The daikon was a great replacement. We had the bulgogi, pork ribs, and a couple more the staff suggested. Ehhhhh I was not terribly impressed with manna.... The good includes their prices are lower than some other Korean BBQ places in the area and some of the meats were very tasty. The bad was mostly service related. My friend had never had Korean BBQ before and therefore tried some meats she didn't like. I didn't like those either, so they went uneaten. The restaurant wanted to charge us for any excess meat we didn't consume..... I feel like this goes against the point of an all you can eat restaurant, which, to me, is to be able to try new things without the risk of cost. I also feel that the portions of meat they brought out were huge, and, if they wanted to reduce waste, they should offer smaller tasting portions. I've been coming here every week since they opened & sometimes twice in a week. I have to say the quality of meat is always the same & love the fact they have big & small intestine on the menu. Was not a fan of it but it is sooooo delicious. The filling is full & with great flavor. Miso soup & steam egg also is great. Not too salty or bland. The food was ok. Quite a few items were "out" and I get that given the current state of the world...Every time we go, we get the same server. She is incredibly rude and gives off the aura of "I don't have time for you". Huge deep sighs, rolling eyes, and overall terrible attitude. I literally feel uncomfortable to order anything at an "all you can eat" place (none of us eat that much). We did let mgmt know about this server from multiple visits and we had a lot of "we are so sorry". This is such and amazing restaurant! The food is ALWAYS incredible. I am Korean and grew up eating very traditional dishes and every dish I have tried here is true to Korea. Being able to cook your food at the table is a fun experience and when they say all you can eat, they mean it which is a steal at $28. The Kim Chi is the best I've had at any restaurant! I had to constantly call on the waiter to refill my drink although he passed by my table a number of times and my glass was at the edge of the table where he could easily see that it was empty. When asking to order more food for my table, I would have to wait a period of time before my request was filled and the restaurant was not busy at the time that I was dining there. I have dined at the other Korean BBQ restaurant at Dobson and Guadalupe and received much better service and customer assistance on my food orders. I won't be returning to Manna's. read more

They gave us the paper menu which reflects the old price per person and terms so we were surprised when we got the bill as they charged higher price per person and also 18% tip (the paper menu said it applies to a party or 6 or more). She told us that we were not allowed to have our stroller because if different party were to sit next to us that it would be a hassle and I understand that but it was the same party next to each other.
