    19. Lamb Kaey - Watch out! Since this has bones in it, and you might be surprised!
    Linda B.

My friend and I ordered through DoorDash and the food arrived quite late. My friend ordered the Cubed Beef Tibs Firfir (no picture) with a side of rice for his meal and he found it quite spicy! The meat was also very tough to chew through. it was extremely overcooked! I ordered the Lamb Kaey with a side of Injera (Flat Bread) for dipping and wrapping. I was very surprised to learn that the lamb still had bones in it!! I was not happy with that at all! I also ordered a side of Sambusa (no picture) which shows a picture of four Sambusas in the picture on DoorDash, however, don't be fooled... It only is served with one of them! My friend could never finish his meal and ended up throwing it away. I felt bad for him. Then again, I couldn't finish my meal either, and I did not want mine at all, so he ended up taking it with him, however, he didn't end up taking the flat bread so that went into the trash as well. Needless to say, we will never ever be ordering from here again and it's a shame.

This is a very unique restaurant that serves both Ethiopian and Spanish cuisine. I came here for the Ethiopian food and was confused if I was in the right spot when I walked in! I ordered the vegetarian and meat combo of 6 for 2 ($36). You can choose any combination of 6 from the menu (some exclusions apply). I went with the lamb kaey, beef kaey, chicken, split pea, red lentil, and collard greens. Chicken and lentils were our favorite! Everything tasted good but I wish the spreads were a little more flavorful. I also wish the food came out hotter. All things considered this was a solid 4/5 place. The food took 10-15 minutes to come out. A little bit of a wait but not bad. Our server was nice and was able to provide helpful recommendations on the menu.

This restaurant kind of had me confused for a bit because it is a combination of a Mexican restaurant and an Ethiopian restaurant. The restaurant looks like a Mexican restaurant. There was definitely a Hispanic crowd when we entered, which had me think I was at the wrong restaurant. However, we were there for the Ethiopian food. We got the vegetarian platter for 2. The difference between this place and other places is that they would put injera bread on the plate and then place each of the food on top. Also it is not as flavorful as other restaurants. The gluten free injera was not as fresh either. The workers were very nice. The food took a while for it to come out and they forgot to bring out the gluten free injera bread so we had to wait for that.

Manna bistro is a locally owned business and came highly recommended. Located in a plaza, there's plenty of parking. It's a very small place casual place but the Ethiopian food here is authentic and flavorful. We ordered the combination platter of 6. We were able to pick 4 meats and 2 veggies. The spongy injera was soft and tasted similar to sourdough. The assortment of meat/veggies were all packed with flavor. The spicy beef was my fav meat dish although it wasn't very spicy at all. Prices are very reasonable and the staff was friendly.

When I walked in, I thought I might be in the wrong place. Turns out they serve Mexican as well as Ethiopian food! Ordered quickly, and my carryout was ready in less than 10 minutes. Ordered the vegetarian platter and chicken doro wat. It came with plenty of injera and was well packaged to prevent spilling. The miser (red lentils) was my favorite! Chicken a little dry. Made three meals our of two dishes. Will be back!

My wife digs this place, which serves both Ethiopian and Latino food - we prefer the Ethiopian. This was my first time finding an Ethiopian dish I like, in this case Chicken Tibb (with Spanish rice, because I hate the sponge bread stuff). My wife enjoyed the chicken and the bread, plus some lentils, Cubed Lamb Tibbs, and red lentils. The chicken tacos I got as a backup option were actually my least fave thing.

I've only tried carryout from Manna once, but that's all it took to win a top rating from me. The gomen wat (collards) dish is just right--so flavorful with just a bit of spice. And everything else in the vegetarian combo platter (messer, kik, atakilt, and fosolia) was delicious. My friend and I ordered through GrubHub and got fast delivery with no problems. I would definitely order from Manna Bistro again!

First time here - very authentic and great flavors. For an appetizer, I had the Sinig (jalapeño stuffed with tomatoes and onions) - very hot but great flavor. My entree was their tostadas - 3 crispy tortillas with refried beans. My wife had the beef kaey - it was amazing!!! I loved it so much I ate half of it. The injera was authentic Ethiopian. Met the owner and her sister Rediet - very nice people and so proud to share their culture. Overall great experience.

At first glance, I wasn't impressed ( yeah yeah judging a book by its cover... I know better) I was wrong. The food was very flavorful, generous, and downright satisfying. We started with the sambusas (meat and veggie). They were good, though a bit mild (personally for me), I still give the edge to an Indian samosa, but that's just me. The combo is absolutely the move. We shared a three-person platter with lamb, beef, and chicken tibs, plus a variety of vegetarian dishes (see photos). Everything came served on rolls of injera, the spongy Ethiopian flatbread. This is a hands-on meal. As in, you eat with your fingers. Yes... it was glorious. The presentation is classic Ethiopian style: a large platter lined with injera, topped with meats and vegetables spread out like they're feeding 50 million people. The trick is to tear off the injera under the food, not the extra rolls, because it soaks up all that flavorful gravy. It's harder than it sounds, but totally worth it. The main dishes were very flavorful. I was genuinely impressed by both the quantity and the depth of flavor across the entire meal. These are the happy surprises I live for. Highly recommend giving it a try.

At first we were a bit worried as it was 6:30pm on a Friday and the place was empty. Glad we didn't let that stop us from staying. The place has a very relaxing vibe and almost felt like you were in someone's home. The menu is smaller than most Ethiopian restaurants I've been to, but still had most of the traditional dishes. We ordered the trio combo (Beg Wot, Doro Wot, Tibs). We were able to add a fourth which meant the portions were a bit smaller. Our fourth item was the Tuna Kitfo. I wasn't a huge fan of the kitfo, because I love the traditional beef version. However, my friend loved it. I enjoyed all the other items. It really did give me authentic Ethiopian vibes. A must try if you're in the area.

One way that I always like is seeing something on the menu I rarely see at other Ethiopian restaurants. That was their Chicken and Spinach option. The other was, for lack of a better term, a "lightness" to some of the entrees. This was particularly true of the meat dishes. While always tasty, they sometimes have a heavier, or oilier taste to them. The dishes here, in particular the chicken dishes, tasted lighter and fresher. The atmosphere here is a bit quieter, we had great service, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
