Me and my friend went in on a Friday night and it was quite empty. We got the AYCE bbq. No Shabu. Service was amazing and side dishes were some of the best I've had in a while. The cheese corn was especially delicious and I wish I could've eaten more of the pancake (but I got really full). The ladies running it were so nice and attentive. I'm really grateful for them. They kept asking us if we wanted more and were really on top of things whereas some other places I go I might feel I have to flag someone down. I also really liked the older kpop playing. Price is pretty typical for this type of place. If the meat was slightly better (marinated longer) I'd give five stars. But make no mistake everything else about it was a 5/5 for us. We ate here with family a couple of weeks after Christmas and enjoyed Shabu Shabu on a cold and windy night. It was great! The service was responsive and food selection was good. They had lots of fresh vegetables, frozen seafood, and their meat choices seemed not as fresh, but decent. Very underwhelming experience. We tried this place on a Tuesday night around 8:45pm. You can tell the waitress that sat us down was not happy about us being their last customer 1 hour before closing (they close at 10:00pm). They took our order and the second we got our meat order and our soup pots, another waitress approached our table and said sorry kitchen is closed, at 9:00pm! How?! The restaurant closes at 10:00pm and it's only 9:00pm and we just sat down. We paid full price and barely ordered any meat. Not only was that rude but completely not cool. We definitely won't go back. The service was bad and the food was very underwhelming. Soup broth had no flavor- I got 1/2 spicy and 1/2 beef broth. My husband and son got 1/2 spicy and 1/2 miso. All-you-can-eat hot pot & bbq- it was all more than enough! We were a large group, and this worked perfectly for all the different preferences. We did have to agree on grill items, but no big deal - theres enough beef, pork, chicken & seafood choices for everyone.  Hot pot veggie ingredients are from a self-serve bar, they bring out the meat per your order. You can opt to do one or both, and guests gave access to the self-service vegetable and seafood bar as well as sauce station. You can make your own concoctions of all types of sauces and dips. I don't believe there is a time limit for your party so it's nice to enjoy their food with friends and family. The staff is attentive and makes sure you have all the meats you desire for your soup and/or grilling. For dessert, they have a self-serve ice cream bar. I've been to manna before but only the carrolton location so I was a bit curious on how the Plano location compared. First thing I noticed was that they didn't have any sides on the menu, such as steamed egg that the carrolton location has. As for the meat, it was alright but one thing that did disappoint was the galbi since I could barely taste the marinade, and it seemed to not have been marinated for very long. However, the service made up for it, because all of the servers were very friendly and since we went pretty late, it wasn't busy at all so they came by every once in a while and cooked the meat for us which was nice of them. The experience was good, but I do prefer the carrolton location more. read more

My spouse and I went here for lunch on a weekday recently and had an awesome hot pot experience. We tried their signature broth and the miso broth, ordering a handful of meats that our server brought out. The most impressive part was the cold bar that was fully stocked with fresh veggies, sprouts, eggs, and a wide range of seafood items, as well as a sauce bar that must have had over a dozen different options to try. I loved that the veggie bar was self-serve because I like a lot more veggies than my spouse does, so I was able to fill up on whatever I wanted while he was cramming his face full of meats. All in all, we had a great time and would return. My only complaint was that they no longer have a reduced lunch price for their menu; it's just the same flat price for all you can eat on the shabu side or the KBBQ side. read more

I believe this is the first time in life that I've ever felt cheated at a Korean BBQ restaurant. There are 2 other Manna locations that I've been to and while there's a clear winner out of the 3, this one is definitely the worst one. First of all you can't tell the difference between BBQ meat and hotpot meats - they're all sliced so thin they might as well be for hotpot. Second the round eye steak was obviously a rolled chuck of low cost beef frozen into shape and cut with a slicer to look like steak. Last but IMHO the biggest, shall I say false advertising, is their "boneless kalbi". It's not kalbi - a famous Korean dish using rib meat that are succulent and easy to chew. What I got was in essence cheap flap steak marinated with kalbi sauce and paraded as kalbi. Not only was this steak tough when cooked, the sauce couldn't penetrate the dense meat fibers. This is probably the most egregious violation of Korean BBQ ethics I have ever witnessed and while there are zero recourse for this gross violation of my taste buds, I think this is the first and last time I will ever be a patron at this establishment. read more

I wish I could leave a 3.5 star review but since we are in a pandemic I will just be rounding up. The food was mediocrely fresh(?) There were some flies landing on their food so that was offputting. Their "clean" dishes were not that clean. Our table was not cleaned very well and had some food particles cemented onto it. Service wasn't all that great. Moving onto the more positive stuff ... The soup base and meat quality were good. I love their sauces and the choices of all the different veggies, fish cakes, and starches. I'll be visiting again but maybe the Carrollton location next time. Either way I'm excited that this side of town has a place like this and recommend trying this place if you haven't tried shabu shabu and don't want to break your bank while trying it for the first time. read more

Service was great! Very fast and attentive. The vibes are great and the restaurant looks very nice. We went for the BBQ and it was inexpensive and delicious. Often times at kbbq places, the meats are hit or miss but 90% of the meats we got were very tasty. There's also an extremely large meat selection in comparison to kbbq places around the same price. They also have a build your own sauce bar where you can get sesame oil, salt, chili oil etc. Definitely recommend for a night out w your s/o or friends. read more

This review only covers the BBQ buffet. It's bad. It's surprisingly bad for a restaurant in Dallas and with supposed decent reviews online. I visited Dallas for family and food and this one was a big downer. The marinated meat choices were bland and a waste of calories. We tried all the other choices esp the kalbi which is the crown jewel of Korean BBQ and it was just plain ehh. It wasn't even "okay." The service was slightly below average. We have been to this restarant for hotpot before but this was the first time to have the kbbq here. We found their bbq grill did not have fire, it was look like an induction cooker. The quality of meat was not bad, I could gave it 3 stars. We ordered some spicy meat but all of them were just toppped with the same spicy sauce, and not marinated. Since there was not a real fire grill, the process of cooking was like stir-fry. Compared with other Kbbq restaurants, we felt they were not authentic . And we sat relatively at the corner of the room, everytime the waitress came in to serve other tables, we hope to place an order but the waitress always ignores us. Korean food has had a special place in my heart since I had a layover in Seoul and we stayed the night there one night. The food, the culture, and the scenery is breathtaking. My hubby and I always like to find a good Korean restaurants when we travel. We found a jackpot with this place. It's Korean hot pot soup with so many options to choose from for the soup. We mainly do veggies and fish and there was plenty of options for us as well as a veggie and miso broth. The place has a wonderful vibe and the service was quick and friendly and very informative. I had lunch here and price seemed to be very overpriced for what you get. They use unnecessary amount of plates to serve meat which I find it pretty unpleasant and an unappetizing experience. I was very much concerned about the cross contamination since there was oozing liquid from the raw meat all over the buffet counter tops and it wasn't cleaned on regular basis while I dined in. Very less veggie options for the price paid. Employees were not handling the raw meat plates while bringing it to the customers table. The quality of the soup wasn't good either. Came for AYCE Shabu and this place was the closest to meeting our hotpot expectations compared to a place we love in NJ called Shaburo. Manna has some great meat selections. Especially beef. Their veggie, noodle, and seafood selections at the bar are pretty standard. It's impressive that they set out the seafood for you to pick instead of giving you a plate of seafood. That's the first time I've seen that. This was also the first place I've seen serve Korean corn which is much chewier and less sweet than the corn we're used to. We came in as soon as they opened on a Saturday. Service was good at this time. I can see this place getting busy during the later part of the day. read more

This place was actually pretty good. My family and I got the hot pot and bbq. There's two different menus for each which is weird. As for the noodles and veggie bar, I think you can only get access to it if you ate the combo meal (hot pot and bbq). As for the sauce bar, anyone can get access to that. I would have to say that it does get a little overwhelming to do both at the same time. So I'd recommend only doing one or the other. Absolutely love this place. My family and I keep coming back because it never seems to fail us. We typically go a little after lunchtime on the weekends and the service is always quick where they bring out the meats that we ordered fairly quickly. Everyone is also really nice which I can't tell if it's because they are starting to recognize us since we go so often. On another note, they started to open up their buffet full of seafood and veggies again. They provide gloves and everyone gets their own individual tongs to grab what they want. They also have a kbbq side which I hope to try in the future. All in all, one of my favorite go to places in the Plano area. read more

Even if we pay a bit more for this option, we don't mind as the price is still really reasonable. The last time we went they would not allow us to do this.
