What a great experience with my 92 year old mom. She loves trying new things so I threw out the idea of trying a nearby restaurant that specialized in grilled skewers. Honestly, we really didn't know what we were getting ourselves into. We popped by on a Thursday evening about 6 PM. We'd read online that things don't get busier till later in the evening. They were right. The lovely gentleman was so happy to help us find a seat with great lighting and help my mother understand the menu and ordering process. Basically it's like a sushi menu except for skewers. Pick how many you want of each item and then they will bring it out to you as they are ready. What fun! Chicken, lamb, beef, and pork are all half price if you complete a Google review. Our favorites were the chicken and lamb. We might've even ordered extra lamb later in the meal. We also decided to be adventurous and try some other items. Our step outside the box items were tentacle skewers, grilled oysters and abalone. Our favorite of those were hands down the grilled oysters. The Abalone & tentacles were a little too chewy for us. By 7pm, business was really starting to hop. Such a fun atmosphere and kind staff. The place was pretty empty at first, which made me a little nervous since I have a lot of good memories here, but it did start to pick up closer to 8 p.m. The space is still very spacious with lots of seating, festive Christmas decorations, and a karaoke stage in the back playing KTV videos for ambiance. We ordered a mix of skewers, a cold dish, and a couple of Sapporos. The food came out in about 10-15 minutes. A few items were out of stock (duck wings, lamb soup). The food paired really well with beer. The 麻辣拌 had a nice numbing kick, the lamb skewers were flavorful, the pork skewers were warm and salty, the squid leg skewers were fun and tasty, and the 苕皮 was spicy but solid. Ordered: Mongolian Beef Stir Fried Shrimp & Broccoli Egg Drop Soup Chicken Wing Skewer On the menu, it says for Mongolian Beef " Served with onions and green onions." As you can see from my photo, there were no green onions, just a lot of white onions. Taste was fine, a bit spicier than most Mongolian Beefs at other places. Sir Fried Shrmip and Broccoli was ok. Small shrimp and broccoli that was overcooked and soft. Chicken Wing Skewer menu says "marinated in secret sauce and charcoal grilled until perfection." As you can see, it wasn't grilled, probably oven baked. The secret sauce was heavy with cumin. Yasye was OK, but not at all crispy. Egg Dop Soup was ok. Good flavor and lots of egg whites. Overall, I give it a C. Despite the name, I will probably not see them again. There are better options in Plano for Americanized Chinese. read more

We picked a variety of skewers (the usual suspects) lamb, beef, pork, chicken hearts, squid, as well as even abalone from their "special recommendation" list. "Hot" tea came in a cup with lukewarm water at best. Hot pot not available so we ordered some skewers to taste as well as some traditional dishes like hot and soup and stir fried noodles. Soup was sour with a bit of a kick, but bland and seemed to be made of vinegar instead of tamarind. The skewers were all seasoned with some type of cumin salt, some overly salty, others bland. All overcooked. There is a large screen tv which people were watching sports games. Food came out very slowly. Portions itself were very small and they cut a whole to make a piece - example - mushroom skewer had 3 pieces in the skewer, but it was 1.5 mushrooms as the whole was halved. The surf clams were halved and each half placed in a skewer to be considered one portion (2 skewers with half clam each). Unfortunately we will not be "see you again." Do not recommend. read more
