Great food, great service, and great ambience. This place serves a variety of Korean food! They also have a good variety of side dishes which were all delicious. First, we got a combo which was the galbi and the assorted tofu soup. It comes with an egg and rice. We also got the beef soup which is really good as well. It has noodles and the beef was very tender. Then we got the grilled pork belly which was made right in front of us. It was very rich and savory with crispy edges. Overall this restaurant was very nice and I would come here again!

At Korean Tofu King you can expect authentic Korean ambiance, service and cuisine. Everything my mother and I had was soul good (yes I mean soul lol). I do have to ask though what is in the salad dressing??? It's seriously so addicting. If you're used to Korean BBQ, this is a different vibe. While you can order some grill top options, they're best known for their combo meal that comes with a protein, rice, assorted vegetables and a soft tofu soup of choice (kimchi, seafood, assorted etc). It's what I recommend you do if trying them for the first time so that way you get a bit of everything, and is even better if you're with multiple people that don't mind sharing. I also recommend their lemonade. It was super refreshing with just enough sweetness to it.

My friend and I stopped by Korea Tofu King for the first time and had a nice experience. We were seated quickly, and the menu had the usual Korean favorites. The seafood pancake was crisp and tasty, and the portions were great. Service and atmosphere were both good, nothing super unique, but a solid place overall.

Grilled Pork Belly was so good! Phone did not eat first... I did . Amazing service 10/10

The service was amazing and the food was good for the most part. My favorite dish was the Seafood Pancake. I didn't care for the Pork Belly as it was surprisingly dry. I really liked the soup I had but forgot what it's called. They bring you lots of side dishes and that's always a bonus.

Egg roll/omelet to the left of salad. Subbed for croaker that's supposed to come with combo on menu.

Formerly The Gogi in Plano but now Korean Tofu King as of Oct. Ordered the galbi/veg tofu soup combo. Croaker does not come with entree as listed on menu, instead they sub in an egg omelet/roll with the banchan. Galbi order consists of six pieces that were a bit gristly so I wouldn't get that again. Veg tofu soup didn't come with mushrooms as listed on menu. Politely pointed out both of these menu misprints to staff & they were receptive to the feedback. Service was nice & pleasant. Plenty of japchae for leftovers. 20% off for grand opening, they think it may run until end of the year.

The food was delicious ,fresh and probably the best I had in Texas . Service was quick and super nice, you sit your self too. The ambiance was clean traditional and very inviting. Can't wait to come back and bring my friends

    Tteokbokki

Ordered the tteokbokki and galbitang for takeout. The teokbokki was good, but the galbitang was extremely dark and salty. I've never had galbitang this salty and dark (it's supposed to be light and clear). I had to water it down until it was finally palatable but now the flavor is also watered down too. For $22, the soup should not be like this.

This place is so good! Total hidden gem. My wife and kids had the kalbi jim and loved it, super flavorful and tender. I went with the spicy kimchi tofu soup and it was amazing. The spice level was perfect, any hotter would've been too much. The banchan was also really tasty, and the service was great too. Definitely recommend coming to check it out!

First time here, and it won't be the last! This easily became a top restaurant. Their banchan are fresh and delicious, and they were generous. I also like that they offer salad as one of them. The tofu soup comes with rice in a hot bowl (just like at Cho Dang). I got medium spicy but might go for spicy next time. I do slightly prefer this meal here over Cho Dang. They were so sweet and checked on us a couple of times. There were plenty of seatings/tables.

Freshest Banchan ever! Kimchi Beef Soup is delicious. Even hot tea service is excellent!

I was a customer of The Gogi for years at this location, but they retired! KOREAN TOFU KING is the new Korean diner at this address. "Tofu King" has a really big menu, not just TOFU. This place is very neat & clean. Staff is very courteous & helpful. The Kim Chee Beef soup with Tofu was tasty & filling. The Ban Chan was so fresh, maybe the best I ever ate! A small Caesar Salad was a bonus, with delicious dressing. Other diners around me were Korean and a table of Chinese ladies, enjoying conversation while dining. KPOP video was up on the giant big screen, but not loud at all. There is a "private section in the front, ask the staff if you can have quiet spot. This is right along Frontage Road of 75 Central XPWY southbound in Plano, Texas, in small parking lot next to Shipley Donuts & Jersey Mike. (Avoid frontage road by turning behind Shipley's from Chisholm Trail.)

Authentic Korean cuisine. They serve a lot of side dish. Worth the money. Staff is approachable. Good ambience.

They had big portions, were generous with side dishes (kimchi, bean sprouts), and were open late. Would recommend!

The food is consistently great, and when the staff is properly trained, the service is excellent too. The waitress with the toast necklace was honestly amazing and the highlight of our visit. Her communication was perfect. She asked exactly how we wanted the meat cooked, checked in on the pacing of the courses, and adjusted everything when we asked to slow things down. That level of attentiveness is what makes Korean BBQ enjoyable. At Ari, multiple staff members rotate between tables helping out, which is normally fine. Unfortunately, every time the more mature staff member came to our table, things started getting worse instead of better. After we had already explained that we preferred medium rare and wanted a slower pace, she came over, saw a little pink in the meat, turned the fire back on, and cooked it until it was overdone. She also started putting meat directly onto people's plates without asking first. Everyone at our table had different preferences. Some mainly wanted vegetables, our daughter preferred pieces with more fat on the sides instead of the more pink cuts, and some of us simply weren't ready for more food yet. Since we know everyone's preferences best, it would have made much more sense for us to serve the meat ourselves instead of having it automatically placed onto plates. What made it more awkward was that she kept placing food only into my tray and not anyone else's, which confused my wife and made the experience uncomfortable. She also started cooking additional courses before we had even finished the first two, despite us specifically asking to slow the pace down. The side dishes were also noticeably skimpy this visit compared to normal. Usually the portions are at least halfway filled, but this time some came out barely a quarter full. We kept asking for refills, especially for the daikon, and each refill only came with two or three small pieces. At that point it felt strange having to repeatedly ask for something that normally comes reasonably portioned. One suggestion for management: name tags would really help in a restaurant where the staff is actively cooking and interacting with customers. In a professional service environment, it would make communication much easier and more respectful if customers could address employees by name instead of describing them as "the toast necklace waitress" or "the mature lady." Still love Ari overall and will continue coming back. Hopefully this was just an off night and the communication/training issues get addressed.

Amazing service, great food, and the prices are very competitive for what you get…read more So what do you get? You get a full service meal where the servers cook your meat for you as you eat it hot off the grill. The side dishes were good. Steamed egg, corn cheese, and one choice of soup comes with your meal along with side dishes and rice of course. I can't recommend enough their boneless prime short rib. It literally melts in your mouth! Please trust me on this and just get it!! Weekends can get busy so expect a wait. Plenty of parking available.

But…read moreI'm getting older and sometimes, soup is all I want as a meal lol Believe me when I say that you do not want to sleep on this place. The galbi tang is the best Korean soup that I've ever had. Yes, it's better than soondubu (tofu stew) or budae jjigae (army base stew). Our family makes both of these stews at home but once we discovered the galbi tang here, we order it at least once a month. Ok maybe at least twice a month lol The ajumma here is the sweetest person and I like to tell myself that everything from the soups to the banchan are her homemade recipes. I have no way of confirming if that's even true but even the banchan is delicious. My husband discovered this place when he ordered something here once last winter. I forget what it was but he was given a side of galbi tang in a small, stainless steel bowl and the rest is history. I love this place, I need it to be around forever so please come eat here and enjoy. You're welcome. My only suggestion is that I wish they would sell the banchan sets because I would buy them and eat them with rice. Delicious!

Before taking my food from the counter, I asked the cashier if rice was included. She gave me a rude look and told me that the combo did not come with rice. I was surprised because I've had Yook Gae Jang at many Korean restaurants before, and it has always been served with rice. Honestly, how are you supposed to eat Korean food like this without rice? The experience and the cashier's attitude left a bad impression. We ended up buying rice from a nearby Katsu restaurant because we didn't want to spend any more money here. The food was decent, but the lack of rice and the poor customer service were very disappointing.
