Recently, I contracted with Manning Sprinkler Services to install a new drip irrigation system in both our front and back yards. The original poly tubing from 2004 had failed everywhere and I was tired of patching it. Manning installed all new valves, manifolds, schedule 40 PVC pipe throughput, and even new lawn sprinklers. It was a big job, their crew worked six days on it. When complete, I could hardly tell they were here! And Jose, their foreman, was very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend this company. Oh no! this has been a nightmare. I never got a receptionist when I called, which was many times! The first repair man came out and I paid him. The next day one of the sprinklers was not working so I called again, a few times and finally got a hold of the (owner?) I told him that one of the sprinklers was not working even though I paid to have it fixed. I was told that the 1st repair man quit so another one was sent out. He fixed it and left. Then I realized that there was no water going to my bushes. The man came out and dig a hold to install the line. No problem with that. However I received an invoice for the second time when the 1st man didn't do what he was suppose to do and the 3rd time of the insulation. When I called the owner? said that he would have to look at the invoice. He as of yet has not called me back. Don't do it! read more

This review is being written on behalf of someone who does not use social media... "I'm giving them 1 star because I don't think it's possible to give them 0 stars. I own a home in Phoenix but live in Denver. I hired Manning to come to my home to fix a broken water valve. I was quoted at $340 for the repair. I said I would get back to them regarding the quote. 2 days later I received an email with an invoice for $540 even though I didn't tell them to move forward with repair. They said they replaced the valve and that everything was good to go. About 4 days later I received a phone call from my tenant stating that the same valve was leaking again. I called a different landscape company to fix the same valve. They informed me that the valve was never replaced, rather it was just a sleeve they put over be pipe. This was just a bandaid that they attempted to pass off as a $540 repair. The new landscape company was great and they charged me just $50 to fix the issue. The valve was not even being used so they were just about to cut it and cap it. Problem solved. Part of my $540 invoice included root removal. This company didn't even have the decency to throw away these roots. They actually buried them in my yard next to the house. This company will never receive my business again, nor should they ever receive yours." read more

Since it has been a few years since I had to use and left my review, I wanted to post an update. My wife & I had them out for a routine check on our system since we were overdue and we knew we had at least 1 faulty head. We also had an issue with water overflowing in one of our valve chambers that we knew wasn't right. These guys operated like a well-oiled machine from the time we called to make the appointment, to the appointment itself, to the follow-up appointment that occurred after. Manning is tops in professionalism-- quick diagnosis, fair quotes (that came in under for the 2nd time), quick work, full clean up like you didn't know they were here, on time, and guaranteeing their work in the process. They even fixed something else that needed it even though it isn't what we called them for in the first place. Both times we have used them they have been flexible and fast with response to our calls. There is really nothing negative my wife or I could say about this business all the way around. Even after several years in between appointments they still had all of our information in their system. I hired a "friend" to redo my sprinkler system and it became like something out of Jurassic Park. I have known the Manning family over the years, but didn't think to call them before I hired the Bozo I did. $218 ($80 just for the service call, which wasn't disclosed on the phone) for a PVC repair to the main water line. Work was done quickly, but caused a sprinkler valve leak. Manning wanted to charge another service call to repair the leak caused by the first call. read more

These guys are awesome. I realized half of my sprinklers were broken when I went to make sure I was ready for the Spring so I started calling around. I called 5 different places on a weekday and Manning was the only one to call me back, and it was only a couple hours later. They were able to come out that very next day and diagnose the issue, 5/8 valves needed to be replaced and new wire had to be run to one of the underground boxes because the original installation hadn't used waterproof wire/connections. The tech took some measurements and gave me a ballpark estimate of what it would cost. I told him to proceed with the work and he was back that very next day. He called that morning to make sure I knew he was coming so I was able to leave the side gate open for him. He called me at work when he was done and explained everything. I got home and reviewed all the work, it was all 100% as described on the invoice that was left on my door. The total was also on the low end of what he had estimated as it was time/materials and he had finished faster than estimated. You might be able to find independent guys to do the work slightly cheaper but the customer service/quick response time was worth every penny. I'll be calling these guys back if I every need anything else on my system. read more

They are very knowledgeable and can rebuild older valves if needed instead of replacing the entire valve saving money.
