    Chicken parmigiana with red sauce
    Cory K.

This was my second time here, I honestly most of the food is good. The prices are too high. I took my family for New Years Eve, as the chicken and veal parmigiana are very good. We tried the bruschetta, it was bad. The flavor was all wrong. Lots of oregano in it, which is not listed on the menu. At $18 we did not eat it and told our server, which I even questioned the ingredients, thinking the manager would remove. Nope. My wife and I had the chicken parm but with vodka sauce, we were charged $5 each to change the sauce. This was never mentioned, the vodka sauce was so light I had to request more. It's a real shame as I enjoyed my first visit, and the restaurant is nicely decorated but really need to take a look at their prices. I understand the dishes are prepared fresh and to order, but $38 for chicken parm in Pitman....no way. Plus there is a 3.5% credit card fee. Very disappointing!

    Sunday Gravy

Enjoyed a date night here-had the lamb filet appetizer special, which was good but meat was a bit overdone. Meatball on the Sunday gravy was great, sausage was dry. Chicken parm was good. A bit pricey, but may come back to try other dishes.

We had another great Linner on Christmas Eve. Service was on point, atmosphere is relaxing, and food was fantastic.

So glad we made early reservations. This restaurant is a BYOB Staff was polite, friendly and familiar with the menu. Small interior. Bread w/oil and herbs and olive Our meals came with a small garden salad w/vinaigrette. This was perfect size for me. Everyone commented after their first bite and said how fresh, flavorful, tasty the pasta and crab cakes were. We tasted each other's food and everything tasted good. This is most certainly a place I'll come back to.

I'll start out by saying I actually rate this place 4.5 stars! Went for lunch and the menu had great options. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Ample street parking and very close to a large parking lot. Not a large place, but big enough to have large table set up for a group of 10 or so. Service was great, waiter was attentive and friendly. Food came out quickly and had great presentation. We didn't order appetizers but the bread was fresh & warm. They had butter for the table but the oil with herbs and olive was perfect! My Mom had their Salmon Rosa served over pasta- i had a taste of it and the brandy rose cream sauce was amazing. I had the Baked Pasta Primavera which included eggplant, tomatoes and arugula with a nicely made marinara sauce. Since it was an early lunch (11am) my husband was excited to see an egg and peppers sandwich! He loved it and thought the cremini mushrooms was a great addition. Again, the bread was fresh! My older daughter ordered Nonna's Polpette which was chopped meatballs over her choice of pasta (penne). She thought it was very good and portion size for her was huge. Younger daughter is 11 and picky but was glad to order from the appetizer section - mozzarella fritta which had 3 very large pieces which she loved but couldn't finish. It was served with their delicious marinara on the side. No dessert for us today. Looking forward to returning and trying their dinner menu!

    House salad? Ugh...

Someone better inform them that they are in Pitman, NJ and not mid-town Manhattan. The prices are outrageous and the portions are small. Our waitress was new and had little to no experience in service... could not even open our wine and was late with our request for red pepper as she presented it at close to the end of the meal! You might think we asked for the moon to get a small of ricotta cheese to add to our small portion of $31 pasta. Oh... and the "salad"... what a joke! Check out the picture and then find another Italian restaurant to dine.

We ate at Mannino's for lunch. I ordered the baked pasta Primavera. My husband had the sweet fennel and roasted peppers sausage sandwich. Mine was very good, with a lot of mozzarella and tomatoes. I thought the sauce was perfect, not too heavy and not too light. My husband tasted mine and wished that he'd ordered it! He said that his sandwich was good, although he'd expected it to sweeter. I think this was a good experience.

    eggplant rollatini and chicken parm
    Ngoc T.

Portions are small and overpriced but it makes sense because quality is good and it is an Italian restaurant. I got the eggplant rollatini and it's great but I didn't realize it was considered an appetizer. This place is BYOB so it is not an option for happy hour. Service was good, our server was nice and helpful.

Very nice dinner. Food was all good. From the manicotti to the Parm dishes. Our server Lucas was great! Good selection of pasta dishes, seafood, and more. BYOB!!

Title: A 32-Year Legacy Tarnished by Toxic Leadership, Saved by Bella"…read more My husband and I have been loyal patrons of Italian Affair since its debut in July 1988 near the college apartments. For 32 years, we have admired the kind and attentive family-led atmosphere established by former owner Bruno, his sister Laura, and now her son Giuseppe, the current owner. However, our visit on May 30, 2026, was deeply distressing due to a host named Pinot, who represents the complete opposite of this community staple's values. From the start, Pinot was dismissive and rude. We were horrified to witness him openly berating and criticizing Caucasian employees in front of guests. This toxicity directly impacted our meal when Pinot instructed our server, BELLA, to hurry us along. When I mentioned feeling rushed, Bella nervously reassured us to take our time, but was reprimanded immediately after for doing so. We were told she had a 'family emergency,' but it was clear she had quit on the spot due to Pinot's unjustified actions. Furthermore, Pinot assigned busboys to watch us throughout our dinner as if we were a risk to 'skip out' on the bill, making us feel unwelcome in an establishment we've called home for decades. It was only after speaking with Giuseppe about Pinot's blatant ignorance that Bella was called back to complete our service. Despite the hostile environment created by the host stand, BELLA was EXTRAORDINARY AND ULTIMATELY SPECTACULAR. Her professionalism from start to finish truly saved our evening. Giuseppe, your legacy is being damaged by Pinot; please recognize that it is dedicated professionals like Bella who uphold the high standards your family has built over the last 35 years."

There was no understanding that my wife, son, and I would be sat at a table with a family that took up two tables, making the comments from the family very uncomfortable, as they talked about us behind our backs. I received a call from the restaurant confirming there were three in my party prior to Easter, and was never told we would be sitting with strangers. When we were first seated, the family opposed, my son and wife do not fare well when having to sit with strangers causing anxiety and a family dinner that was more moody and argumentitive than enjoyable. I would have normally given the restaurant a 5 star review, but to create a chaotic situation without notice is unforgivable. I cannot say enough nice things about the wait staff though. Even with all the complaints, they were pleasant and attentive.
