I've kept up regular maintenance and the dealership services Gunn Acura performed on the vehicle make it a still great experience to drive daily. But when I do decide to buy again I will look at Gunn Acura first, their service department & their staff have made a lasting experience on me, time & time again & have stepped up when another dealership failed to. Brandon P. was my main point-of-contact and he is supported by a team of employees at Gunn that I interacted with and I'd like to recognize, the service desk women & men staff who at different times greeted me as I drove in to the service drop-off area & made sure I was being helped, the older gentlemen who replenished the snacks & drinks at the waiting areas & maintained the restroom vanities; all were a part of a positive experience. The service dept. performed the work anyone should expect when they take their car in for warranty repair/or after warranty repair to any repair shop, even more I would think from the car manufacturer's dealership. About the service, I received the services I requested and paid for the parts/install (windshield, not a warranty item). On my own I had recently performed an oil change, cabin air filter replacement, tire rotation & battery replacement, so when those services did not show up in the Vehicle Multi-Point Inspection as work needing to be performed, I was confident that the recommended services identified in the inspections would soon be needed and not just a checklist of added services, my car was truly evaluated by the technicians and only items needing attention were noted. I opted for 1 of 3 recommended services noted in the Vehicle's Multi-Point Inspection and was thoroughly explained all findings with no pressure to say yesterday at any time. Through the whole process I was kept informed of progress and was sent photo updates of work performed. The work took a few days & I had expected and was told that as well, so it was OK with me. I wanted my OEM windshield's adhesive to set properly and have time to seal well, even though I've seen many other cars drive around town immediately once their windshields get replaced with blue tape keeping it in-place. I wanted to give the service dept. enough time to get parts and service the vehicle without rushing the mechanics/technicians. The car was returned to me looking better than it had when I dropped it off and the new windshield looked great. Service department Facilitator/Concierge (Brandon P.) provided an exceptional customer experience to myself and my 2023 Acura MDX SH-AWD. From the moment I requested service for a broken windshield w/ HUD, Brandon coordinated with the (other Acura) dealership that sold us the car, insurance and windshield policy, all the while keeping me informed of cost, insurance approvals (coverage), and our OOP. Along with the windshield, we came in to service/fix other issues we were experiencing w/ the infotainment system, a door seal and other small inconveniences you could expect from a 3-yr old car. This is the second time I've brought my car to Gunn Acura for service. Both times I've received the same exceptional service and welcoming demeanor to understand the car's issues and providing remedies. Unlike the dealership where I originally bought the vehicle (300 miles away), they have repeatedly disregarded and failed to return calls for the issues/concerns I've notified them about. A complete about-face compared to when I sat at the finance officer's desk and they were selling me the car, extended policies, and more; promising I wouldn't have to worry about the car because they would take care and service it; lesson learned on my part, I was the fool who wanted to believe the dealership would stand behind the product. Shortly after arriving I connected with Mr. Charles and he ensure that I received that exceptional white glove experience that Acura always provides. Andrew and I picked the best replacement that covers up to 70k-mile warranty. It was from Pirelli. I also have a 5yr wheel alignment plan with Big O that was transferred from my previous to my current vehicle. That itself is amazing. Andrew himself also personally made sure that topnotch service was done with my needed oil change. I actually visited the store last Friday and Andrew made sure everything would be ready for today's service especially making sure the Pirelli tires were available. I personally feel that the best total pricing was made possible by the Big O. I am happy with what I spent. Store was clean and orderly. The ambience was great in the waiting area where I was able to do a couple of tasks including some computer work on my laptop. I'm blessed to have Andrew's shop actually near home. In addition, the manager keeps the place spotless which is great when a woman comes in for service. I was so impressed with their service that I came in the next day for a full set of tires. I had 4 new tires on my car, and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. Their prices are great, but their service is what will make me continue to come back. I'm leaving this review so other people don't make the same mistake I did…read more I posted my original review in my neighborhood Facebook group with over 3,100 residents and I have already found multiple neighbors dealing with the same nightmare from this shop. That alone should tell you everything. I came here because I was told they could deliver the sound system I wanted. Instead, I paid $3,300 and ended up with a system that was installed incorrectly, misdiagnosed repeatedly, dragged out for nearly a month, and now I'm being told I need to pay even more money to fix problems they created. My car was at their shop for 3 days, and even after that, I had to return my vehicle multiple times because the issues were never actually fixed. The biggest issue is they never properly diagnosed my vehicle before selling me parts and starting the install. There was no clear estimate, no professional diagnostic process, and no transparency. They just started selling parts and guessing, and that guessing cost me thousands. Here's what went wrong. They ordered and installed the wrong speakers. They installed expensive speakers but did not properly power them. I came in wanting a new amplifier, and instead they pushed me into a head unit I did not want. The head unit they installed underpowers my speakers because it only powers 4 speakers. My subwoofer now overpowers the entire system, so the balance is completely wrong. I was told false information, including being told my tailgate speakers were "blown," when the real issue was how the system was wired. I later found out the speakers were wired directly to the head unit, which is something I had to research myself after trusting the professionals. I now have fewer speakers and tweeters than I originally had. After all of this, my tailgate lights are now not working, so now I'm dealing with audio issues and electrical issues after spending $3,300. Instead of owning the mistakes and fixing them, I'm being sent another quote and told to spend more money. I have all conversations recorded and all texts saved. Next week, my vehicle is being diagnosed by another shop so everything can be professionally inspected and documented. I'm also meeting up with my neighbors who have dealt with the same situation. We are going over their stories and proof as well to build my case even further. Once I have all the documentation and information needed, this will be taken through the legal system and handled accordingly. Sad that I even have to take it this far, but I'm not letting this happen to me or anyone else without accountability. If you're considering coming here, don't. If your vehicle needs diagnosing, expect them to start selling you parts first and "figure it out" as they go. And when it's wrong, you'll be the one paying for it. One of the worst service experiences I've ever had, especially for a $3,300 job.
