We just had lunch at this place today. We used to live right down the street and ate here under previous ownerships. There were three adults and two children ages 11. Everyone was very pleased with what they had ordered. The burgers were very tasty. My daughter thought the turkey sandwich was the best you ever had. I had the fish tacos and thought they were really good. We all agreed that the price was right the restaurant was clean and the service was good. We don't come down this way very often but when we come back we will visit here again. read more

OMG, I thought this would be the same as any other place, mediocre food, atmosphere, service. I am so happy to be wrong. Took my mom and my sister who was visiting from Wisconsin. She called her husband to tell him how good everything was. The appetizers were all delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were fair. This place is a hidden treasure. Just spent a great afternoon at Manny's Ale House. The food was great as was the service. Five of us met there for lunch & drinks. Two of us had Cheese Burgers, one of us had a Drunken Burger, one a Southwestern Wrap, one had a salad. Each one of us found our meal delicious! Our Server, Clay, was attentive, friendly and a pleasure to talk to. He took good care of us. Told us about the craft beers & answered a few menu questions. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. There are TV's to watch the games. We just wanted to chat but to be able to catch the game score was nice. Manny's was very comfortable, we hung out for 4 hours but never felt rushed or like we were taking up space. Great place to meet & eat! Will be going back again & again! read more

Went here with my wife tonight for dinner after passing it on pretty much a daily basis. It looked a bit empty for a Friday night around 6:30pm. For starters we ordered the loaded fries. The fries were unique, the looked like steak fries from places like Red Robbin (yumm!!!, sorry couldn't resist) but they were twisted and seasoned quite well. I ordered the "adult Mac and cheese" and it was really good, it had chicken mushrooms and bacon (at least it said it had bacon, could see or taste any but it's not a huge deal) the sauce had a good cheese flavor, I think it's made in house since I tasted multiple cheeses. My wife had the drunken burger which had onions bbq glaze and bacon (maybe the bacon that was supposed to be on my dish?). She ordered it medium rare but it came out medium, it was seasoned well. My only major complaint was the service, our server was nice and all but she wasn't around enough. An older gentleman who I'm guessing is the manager kept coming over to help us which what we needed. We walked in surprised by the bar. Then you go a little further to a cute dining room. Which is what we were looking for. We had great service by a very nice accommodating waitress. Stopped in for lunch after a business meeting. This was my first time at Manny's. The place was empty but I was immediately greeted with decent craft beer list. I ordered the Mediterranean Burger which sounded delicious. Before the food was served I was offered a bowl of fish soup to try and it was good. The food was served quick and the burger was excellent. The fries were different and something I have never had before but were absolutely delicious. I was happy with both the food and the service and will definitely be back when in the area. Great stop for lunch! read more

This place had horrible service, waited 10 minutes at the bar for a beer, ordered food took 15 minutes just to order, I thought the nachos were ordered and they weren't! Ordered dinner took an hour for a chicken wrap and a Ruben...my fault for staying so long will never go back! read more

We have driven by many times and have always thought about stopping in. Friday night my wife and had a date night and we are pretty sick & tired of most of the spots in the Oak Brook area. We wanted to try something different. We often drive St. Charles on our way home from kid's hockey and wanted to try La Tosca. Unfortunately, we were not quick enough - they have closed. We then drove by Manny's and turned around and came back. What a pleasant surprise! I had the Adult Mac and Cheese and it was pretty good. Nice beer selection too. A little off the beaten path, but those are the kind of places we like. It looks like there may have even been a band setting up in a back room, but it was about medium crowded in the front. Have been to Manny's many times over the last year or so. They did a beautiful renovation a while back and it's a pleasure to be there. It has a very nice ambiance about it and is very clean. The bar is big and inviting. Great place to go and hang with your buddies or watch your favorite sport. The beer selection is diverse and the staff very friendly. :) read more

I ordered a pick up from here on Friday via grubhub. I obviously used my card online so i could run in and run out. We got there and they had no idea that we even placed an order so we ended up spending an hour at the bar, BUYING drinks even though the first round should've been bought by the house. Then we paid for our meal, AGAIN. I hadn't checked my bank account to see if I had been charged. I didn't think I would considering they never got our order. Well turns out my card did get charged so I paid for our meal TWICE, plus drinks. I called grub hub and the rep was more than helpful trying to contact this place. I finally got a hold of someone yesterday, Tuesday. And the gentleman told me I could come pick up my money. Considering the meal basically costs how much it takes to fill my gas tank, I preferred he call grub hub to get a reverse on my charge.. said he'd take care of it and I haven't gotten any notification from grub-hub that this issue is resolved and the charge is still on my card. DO not place to go orders here. And considering it's been 4 days, MULTIPLE phone calls, and I'm still a pissed off customer. Just dont even bother coming here because obviously their service is horrible. read more

My husband and I live down the street and were frequent patrons of the pub. We tried Mannys for the first time on a Friday evening and were seated in the bar area. We sat at a table for 20 minutes without so much as an acknowledgement by the wait staff (not even a glass of water). After the 20 minutes a waitress approached us and asked if we had been helped, we responded no and she walked away. Ten minutes later we still had not been served, so we got up and left. On the way out the same waitress offered to seat us in a different section so that someone would serve us, we politely declined and chose another nearby restaurant for our meal. Manny's has quickly become our local favorite bar, and my husband and I try to stop in several times a week. We love the beer, food, and friendly and relaxed atmosphere. A really good spot to take it easy and unwind. They've got a huge variety of beers, bottled and on tap (including lots of local favorites but ranging further afield too). My wife and I have been looking forward to checking out Manny's since they opened recently. We live nearby and have been looking for a bar with better food options and beer selection in the area. We went to Manny's for lunch. Beer selection was good. While not the level of Lunar there were a number of good options. Ordered the 2.00 burger as advertised. The twist is you pay extra for cheese, lettuce (yes, lettuce), tomato, you get the idea. I am fairly certain it was a frozen patty since it wasn't very tasty. My wife had the pulled pork and we both agreed it was good. Service was okay, somewhat slow. The bartender waited on us since the waitress was busy with a larger party and other tables. They could have used another server. The one notable negative was the pint glass I was drinking my beer had a crack at the top. In my experience, an establishment would serve you a new and full beverage. The server simply poured what was left over in a clean glass. That aside we do plan on returning. It could be a terrific sports bar based on the layout and number of tv's that surround the bar area. I will try another menu item next time. May go for a Bears or Hawks game for the sports bar experience and see if the service is better. It's a nice place and I truly hope the kinks are worked out since it could be a really nice sports bar with good food and beer options. read more
