This was a place we decided to give a shot, and so glad we did. The food was amazing. I had a meat lovers omelet, and it was packed full of stuff, and was a great portion. With hash browns and sourdough toast it was amazing. Along with great food the service was amazing as well! When I am back in this area I will definitely be stopping by again. read more

First time at this new restaurant. Extremely accommodating to wheelchairs. Food was excellent, I had the biscuits and sausage gravy, my wife had the Blueberry pancakes. She reports they were the best she had ever tasted tasted. The pancakes are made with cream. The mimosas are large and strong. No espresso, but the coffee was made from fresh Valhalla beans. It could be that I was starving but I had one of the best burgers I've ever tasted. The frisco burger was delicious very juicy and the avocado onion and tomato were very fresh. It looked like they had a good breakfast menu as well...I'll have to try it next time. read more

What a delicious experience at Manny's Place! We went in early on a Sunday to avoid the breakfast rush. The remodel has left the space bright, open, and welcoming. Atmosphere was relaxed and the floor plan is open and spacious. Likely some more tables can be added later if more are needed, and judging from the food quality, it's going to be popular. Coffee mugs were large and generous. The menu is plain and simple, and I'd assume will become more detailed later, as right now no side or drink options are printed yet. The options are varied and interesting. I got the Southwest hash with scrambled eggs and toast. It was peppery, spicy, and delicious, with flavorful homemade salsa. The bread used for toast was of high quality as well. My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak with chorizo gravy and eggs over easy (they didn't quite have the equipment to poach eggs yet, but we were assured this is coming soon). It was tender, easy to cut, and flavorful. Service was attentive and friendly. Even the peppermint chocolate mint sticks served with the check were a pleasant surprise. What a great restaurant! Loved the chorizo hash with the out of this world homemade salsa. Fast and friendly service with attention to details ("more coffee?" "here's an extra napkin") Very good coffee in a large mug. Large portions at a reasonable price. I'm trying to drop a few pounds so I decided to only eat part of the food. We were looking for a breakfast place near UPS and stumbled upon Manny's. This place is a hidden gem! The staff is friendly and attentive, they make you feel very welcome! The menu has a good selection of different dishes. A little something for everyone. From blintzes to biscuits-n-gravy, and everything tastes great! I used to come here for breakfast (still good), but their chipotle chicken, mashed potatoes and asparagus was a unique and very special meal, replaced by some of the worst fried chicken this side of the Colonel's and awful fries. We went to Manny's before the Jr. Daffodil Parade yesterday; it was our first dining experience at Manny's and I'll tell you, it sure won't be our last. Our daughter had the blueberry pancakes; my husband had the chicken fried steak which came with two eggs, hashbrowns and toast; I had french toast which came with 2 eggs and 2 thick slices of peppered bacon. I gave my daughter one of the eggs, two french toast halves and a slice of the bacon and she gave me a pancake (which I gave to my son-in-law) talk about deliciousness, man was it good. Service was excellent and eating area and restrooms were spotless. I can't wait to return. read more

First time at Manny's today for lunch (burger dip). Fruit was the side dish I chose but folks at the table near us had fries, which looked to be delicious--thin and crispy. The dip could have been a bit more robust but overall the flavor was very good. The bread was very fresh and the meat cooked to perfection. Wait staff were friendly and checked on us frequently. Manny's has the same owners as Alfred's, for those of you familiar with that classic restaurant. read more

Promising, a few negatives, but will give it another shot. I went with some friends; two people had burgers and one had a sandwich and they all reported delicious food. I had the baked salmon which was very tasty but overdone (and I like my fish cooked thru- but this was cooked to the point of being dry). The salmon was served with a small serving of mashed potatoes and merely garnished with spinach. Ideally my meal would have had more gently cooked salmon, a bit more potatoes and much more spinach (the spinach was delish!!! but only a few leaves...) one big drawback is the poor beer selection (5 types, bottled, no tap). I have no idea why this place has so many stars. They have three beers on tap and have not changed the decor from the two previous failed restaurants in this location. The music was slow remakes of historically popular songs. In the hour I was there with my friend, not a single customer came in. You could hear the staff in the back arguing, the food was so, so and the lighting was too bright for the vibe they are going for. The service staff was at least friendly. Visited Manny's Place this week and had a club sandwich, which was fantastic!! It was served with a generous order of garlic fries but the garlic was a little too much for my palate. I took half of the sandwich home because it is a very generous size. The décor has been lightened up which helped the atmosphere from the last business that was open there. I think some lights on the exterior awning would brighten up the entrance and look more inviting and appealing. I will definitely eat there again and try another menu item. read more

Decided to try Manny's with my sis and a friend. We went for breakfast. My friend was on a restricted diet and our waitress did not blink an eye at accommodating my friend's needs. I opted for bacon and eggs and, Hallelujah!, someone knows how to cook an egg the way you order it. The thick cut peppered bacon was perfect as was the omelet my sis ordered. No problem making substitution to your orders, too. Decided to try the sausage gravy on the side - oh my goodness, I could eat it with a spoon! Our waitress was adorable and not intrusive. All-in-all, the experience was quite pleasant - good food and good service for a reasonable price - doesn't get much better than that. read more

We have been in three times since Manny's opened and the food, drinks and service were consistently excellent. Recommend the California Benedict along with a Bloody Mary for brunch! Short on dinner-type offerings, but we thought the ones we ordered, the steak dinner and the salmon were delicious and nicely presented. Coffee is great too. Staff are so friendly and helpful. I got the impression they are working on adding new items to the menu so will go back. Very clean and tidy with cute decor. The only drawback to going if you drive and have mobility issues like my husband, parking and easy access to Manny's and other businesses in Proctor is difficult. read more
