They filled up a low tire and checked for a leak. I would definitely come back for tires because of how helpful they were with no appointment. Last August, I drove up onto the sidewalk on busy 41 to avoid a collision with a distracted driver. Blew out 2 tires and bent my Rims. Waited 2 hours for a Tow in front of the hospital. Tow driver kindly ran me around to a couple of places, and they couldnt/wouldnt work on the car. I called Manny's, explained what happened, and asked him if they would work on the car. the response was: THAT IS WHAT WE DO! I really hate to give bad reviews, but this merits one. I had new tires mounted and they accidentally hit the rim on one of the wheels. I hadn't noticed it immediately but only after I had checked each wheel. The guy that put them on was long gone, and after I hunted him down he could not speak any English, only Spanish. I then got Manny, who after a short conversation with his mechanic in Spanish, told me the scratch was already there before. I do want to point out here that the car had not been moved, the scratch was clean as can be, and third the scratch was also under the lip of the tire without any mark on the tire. After a heated conversation Manny gave me the money back I paid to mount the tires but the cost to remove the scratch was $120. I give Manny's two stars simple because of the good work he did in the past. I understand that accidents happen and my negative experience was probably an exception to the rule but it was not handled professionally. read more

When to get 2 new tires for my car, I spoke with the owner Manny he seem short in the beginning but I figured it was almost the end of the day for him. When I picked the tires he asked me for the key to my wheels and honestly did not understand what he was asking me, he look in the trunk of my car and in my glove compartment and I let him know that I have never been asked that question so I was not sure, he kept saying " oh yes you where" he must of said this about 3x and pretty much calling me a liar, I didn't appreciate his attitude towards me as I clearly did not understand what he was talking about. Of course Manny can be nice and even joke with you, if he sense you gonna buy or easy to deal with or you got referenced, but he is infact a very ill tempered GRUMPY moody old timer. Went there twice, first time Manny was nice talktive, pluged my tire. last me 2 months, i came back to purchase an used tire, talked with him on phone prior coming, arrived, he totally dont recognize me, whole time he wouldnt talk, just walk showed me the tires. i took a couple minutes examing the tires, that when he got impaient, i can almost feel it. Blank stare me with his witchy hollow eyes. ( i guess this short fused old fox has too many years of experience, he pre evaluates whether you are the client he wants, as he feels he is wasting his time or been taken advantage off, he dont hesitate to unleash his ill manners upon you) In the end, i try to be polite and pretend not to sense his impaience, asked him about rotation and said will think about the tires. He immediately waved his hand high like hi-hilter and yelled: BE GOOD. and at no time turned his back. (WTF... u old punk did not take your mood-control drug today or something ??? ) I have never encountered such a punk attitude in my 1.5 years in Sarasota. I was in Sarasota with a friend for their medical treatment. Getting a flat tire couldn't have come at a worse time. I dropped the tire off at Manny's, and they repaired what ended up being a problem with the valve stem and sensor immediately. He would not let me pay him for the repair. Older woman are often taken advantage of in the car world, which includes tire costs. However, my first visit to Manny's today was the best experience I have had with tire businesses. They didn't try to sell me extra tires as inevitably happens elsewhere (although my mechanic would tell me if I needed them) and patched the nail protruding from a front tire for a minimal charge so quickly.
