Good food, TERRIBLE customer service, food didn't came as supposed, waiter not kind or helping at all

El olor de la comida era increiblemente malo, como es posible que lleven a la mesa de un cliente algo asi????? es un hecho que nosotros jamas volveremos a ese lugar, y mucho menos podria recomendarselo a nadie. My fiancé and I love to come to this establishment because, Claudia is such a warm and welcoming hostess. She remembers that we like to seat by the window and makes sure we do. Came here Friday evening because from the outside it was so packed that I figured it had to be because of how good the food is. However not the case. The menu has a variety of options from hot dogs to pasta. I ordered empanadas, their specialty pizza, and my friend got a burger. All bland, tasteless, boring food. I always liked the food but the service is always so so. Today I found myself in a situation where the waiter was insisting that I provide him my debit card pin number. So he could process it on the the transaction. I informed him that if he provides me a keypad, I will be more than happy to provide that information, but that I had no intention of giving it to him or anybody else ,(My pin # ) When I asked why he couldn't process the credit card transaction. He told me it wasn't an option. He was unable to answer when the manager came forward. I asked him. Process the card ,as asked No problem. Scary thought that they're soliciting debit card pin numbers. From the patrons in that restaurant. Forget about the liability exposure that restaurant , is exposing itself by conducting business in that manner Given that a majority of their clients are from somewhere else. They may not know the difference. They may think it's business as usual. I hope it's something that they correct soon. read more

I gave it a two star because it is pretty decently priced. We are vacationing here and have been trying to find a place where we can get breakfast without breaking the bank. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. When we first got in, the service was great. We were seated and our order was taken promptly. Our food even came out really fast. The food, you could tell was probably pre cooked or frozen food. It wasn't bad for the price. The orange juice is delicious as it is fresh squeezed. The pancakes were pretty rubbery, but the eggs and bacon were o.k. I was more happy with the fact that it wasn't a $35 meal. With that being said, we waited 25 minutes to receive our check and didn't even get one. We left a $20 on the table and walked out. If you want an o.k. breakfast with a good amount of food for not a lot of money, eat here. However, don't be in a rush to leave when you're done eating. read more

We got together with my family there because my nice lives near by, the atmosphere is really bad, worse than a fast food place, but with restaurant prices. fried calamari was good but the sauce poor quality like everything else. service , almost non existent, pizza so hard that my mom couldn't eat it, the empanadas weren't memorable, the churros, BAD, , I couldn't believe the amount of people going there just for the name of the place ..In the menu everything seems tempting, but I wonder, based on what we order , how good everything really is....I guess Il never find out,I wouldn't go there again.... read more

I came here with my boyfriend and another friend and we all left STARVING mainly because the food was So disgusting .my boyfriend ordered a burger and asked for it medium and it came out over cooked and had absolutely no seasoning. I ordered a spinach ravioli and asked for it to be covered in marinara sauce and they put some different red sauce mixed with Alfredo sauce so that and his burger ended up in the garbage along with our money. my friend ordered a pasta with same nasty red sauce and the pasta it self had no taste he also threw his food away. We told the waiter the food was crap and apparently they are fresh off the boat or just really illiterate because it seemed like they didn't even understand what we said. The waiters were more concentrated in the soccer game than their customer service. Not to mention the morbidly obese men sitting in the table next to us cheering and screaming goal and profanity and jumping every chance they got making our tiny table that was too close to them for comfort jump. On top of the chaotic mess we endured they decided to include a tip in the check for a party of 3 people. they didn't deserve a penny of that tip. If I knew I could have subtracted the tip I would. I will never go back and never recommend people. If I could stand in the front with a taco stand and serve garbage (literally) then I would probably make way better food than these people. Went there for the first time for breakfast. I only ordered one item on the menu and had a terrible first impression. I ordered a spinach omellette, which looked far from being an omellete, it was a rectangular flat mass of burned eggs mixed with spinach with no flavor. I've heard goods things about this restaurant so i will give it another try. read more

My wife and I look forward to going to Manolo's every time we are in Miami since the food is very good. To my surprise this time on a very nice Saturday (11/30/19) my waiter forgot to bring out our cafe con leche and when the food arrived I mentioned that our coffee had not arrived so the waiter then said "are you going to eat the good or not" I was dumbfounded at the disrespectful demeanor of the waiter and ask to speak to the manager. To my surprise the Manager was next to the waiter and said let me look into why we did not get your coffee. I said to waiter we are not going to eat the good before we have our coffee with that the waiter turned and made another disparaging remark which prompted me to get up since we were not staying and follow the waiter and asked him Who are you talking to? You don't talk like that to your customers to watch his mouth. The Manager then stepped in between us and apologized for the waiter meakly and I told him waiters like that should not be working for a restaurant like Manolos. We then left and had breakfast at Sazon across the street. I am not going to tell folks not to go to Manolos but if you run to this foul mouth disrespectful waiter tell the manager or write a review to alert others. read more

Went there around 2 weeks ago and ordered a sandwich with steak , eggs , cheese and ham which came with fries . It was okay but then half way through found 3 hairs in my sandwich , I calmly told the waiter about it and he got the manager to take a look at it . There was 2 brown hairs and one black . I have blonde hair so ,for sure wasn't mine . He came back and told me that "the guys" were all covered in the kitchen, kind of made me feel as though he was blaming me . I didn't know what he referred to that but only took 10% on my bill ,$15 dollar sandwich which wasn't even worth it . Him being a manager didn't even offered another choice or anything just told me he's was going to discount it which was only $1 off the bill . definitely not coming back this place doesn't even deserve one star. read more

I have stopped by churros and coffee for my first visit and it was pretty good. I would more recommend the place for a meal. It's equivalent to a Latin Denny's. Which means you get a wide variety Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. You can go in with a group of your friends and have a good meal read more

This place was very disappointing. We stayed in a small hotel near here and had walked by it several times and it was alway busy so we figured we would try it. It was awful. Our waitress came over and acted offended when we asked for water ( we are not cheap, we just don't drink soda. As a matter of fact I typically over tip because we don't purchase sodas). She then brought us cups filled only 2/3 of the way with warm tap water with no ice. When my wife asked the waitress for recommendations her answer was: "I can't recommend anything because I don't know what you like." I didn't understand this, most servers will tell you the most popular items and what they like as well. But she refused to recommend anything. Finally we ordered some food which was terrible. My wife got a simple hamburger because she didn't know what else to get with out the server telling us what was good. The burger and fries where stone cold. My food was terrible as well and caused some severe heartburn later that night (wasn't a spicy meal either). Our server never brought our food and we had to ask the server who did bring our food for some more water. We never saw our sever again and had to ask for our check. I was so fed up and done with the bad food and crappy service that when she brought the check I didn't even look at it and handed her my card because I wanted to leave so badly. When she brought my card back she tossed it onto the table and walked away without saying a word. I went to sign the receipt with no intentions of leaving a tip because of the terrible service only to find they added a 5.23 cent tip to a 25 dollar bill themselves. Rundown is bad service, with mediocre food makes for a horrible experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

When Manolo's originally opened, they were fantastic. The food, prices and churros could not be beat. However, that has completely changed. The churros are hard, even early in the morning, and tasteless. The other items on the menu are also overpriced and underwhelming including the salad's and pizza. They need to go back to their original formula and maybe add less items and better food. The service is also hit or miss. read more

Drove by at 11pm. The place was very busy and because it reminded us of our favorite late night Cuban restaurants we decided to check it out. I ignored the negative reviews focussing instead on the positive ones. BIG MISTAKE! Yelp reviewers raved about the churros so I ordered churros and "cafe con leche" and my husband ordered a double espresso with cream. Cafe con leche is the latin version of a latte, steamed milk with espresso. What arrived at our table was something very different. Both beverages were identical. They tasted like something out of a coin machine, watery and awful. Much later I realized they had brought us old brewed american coffee with some hot milk poured in. Not only were they not what we ordered they were terrible. To add insult to injury the churros we were served had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Churros are a very common late night snack typically served with hot chocolate. Just like french fries, they are made to order. We refused to pay for the coffee and should have refused to pay for the churros as well. As we waited for our bill wondering what went wrong, my husband noticed a very large espresso machine on the counter. We then realized we never heard the familiar sound of the machine as it steams the milk and makes the espresso. Their machine was not out of order because we did hear it operate afterwards. Sounded like the barista was running water through it to clean it. Bottom line. If they are not capable of preparing the most typical late night food South Florida Latins eat they are not worth my patronage. read more

I HAVE SUFFERED DISCRiMINATION at this restaurant. Please do not support this business. I went out for a late night meal with my mom who is visiting from Brazil this past monday night and decided to try manolo out expecting nothing but a nice simple meal and left humiliated by how management and the servers treated me and my mother. We ordered a couple of sandwiches and a hot chocolate and an orange juice and when it came time to pay we used a 50 dollar bill that was purchased at a legitimate currwncy exchange place. The server took the money and came back saying that the manager wasn't going to accept it because he didn't like the way the bill looked. I was appalled. I was pretty much forced to pay with my credit card. They tested the bill with those counterfeit proof markers and it of course the billtested legitimate but that was no resource. The manager simply told us that he didn't like the way the bill looked. Needles to say my mother felt extremely embarassed. There was no reason for him to not accept my bill after testing it with the marker. So my only take is that he didn't trust us bc of our race. This was blatant racism. Either that or because I'm gay and i guess im not worthy of respect in that establishment. I am definitely going to report this establishment and take legal action for the discrimination me and my mother suffered at that restaurant. Beware... If you are latino or gay you might have the same thing happen to you... As far as the service, we stood at the door for five minutes without being acknowledged and finally i went to the take out counter and asked if could seat anywhere. After taking a table, the waitres comes and asks us if we were ready to order even though we had no menus at the table. Food was nothing to rave about but after the distasteful experience of discrimination at the end, i left and was sick for the rest of the night. I wish i could give this some negative stars, because even 1 star is too much. Never ever will i enter this establishment and i urge all of you who are against any type of discrimination to not support this business. read more

It is a restaurant full of colors, clean and the food is abundant, the churros with dulce de leche are the best!!! . I recommend it for the lovers of the sport as the soccer, they give many games. It is a restarurante to go with time, the weekends they are very busy. read more

Honestly.... Never coming back here again. I went to Manolo's to have lunch with my friends, mind you this was our first time there. We walked in and waited to be seated. I was so confused because the workers were just talking and not paying attention to us... So we just waited, when apparently you're suppose to seat yourself. That was #1... #2 was that you're suppose to get your own menu (I don't know if it's like that around dinner time, since it does get pretty packed) which I was also confused because I had no idea where to find the menu, which apparently there's a little basket when you come in..... I was like "oookkkaaayyyy"... #3 after we got the menus after many minutes of us just waiting for the menus, our server finally came.. Our server only spoke Spanish, Yes I do speak Spanish, but I'm not the best at it.. I honestly feel (no shade) that he only got hired because he was cute.... That's it, let's be real.... #4 we had ordered a large cheese pizza. I was expecting a large round pizza, when we got 2 plates of a long, 2 columns rectangular pizza.... Reminded me of a flatbread. I was a bit confused, I thought he got our order wrong, but no.... That's the large pizza. The pizza was pretty good, that's why I'm giving it 2 stars.. Other than that, in my opinion, bad service. There should be a sign that says "Please Seat Yourself" at the entrance, and hire staff that know at least a little more English, since that area is filled with tourist from all over the world. read more
