Entree's were the stuffed pork chop special, penne alla vodka with chicken cutlet added, and rigatoni alla butera- made with hot sausage instead of sweet at my request. This is a super cute Italian restaurant on Hylan Blvd. I love the clean and modern design of the space. We arrived with a large party but also at the same time as 2 other parties. The server was quick to give us water, but unfortunately there was only one server the entire time we ate. This made the ordering, requests, drink refills incredibly slow for all the parties not just ours. The server did tell us there were supposed to be 2 servers, but the other called in sick. The server did his best to accommodate everyone at the restaurant. We were quickly served beverages and bread for the table. Since we were a large party, we understood that it would take a little while for all the orders to complete. We got the seafood appetizer special, my husband got the linguini gamberi and I got the veal medallion special. My husband loved his linguini! Although the seafood appetizer was a bit pricey, the table did seem to enjoy it (I'm allergic). I though the veal was also quite good and a generous portion! Food was overly salted. The chef said the seafood was from the ocean so of course it was salty. We noted it was the sauce and he shrugged his shoulders. I am not sure anyone in the kitchen tastes the food before sending it out. Not worth the money. read more

First time here with hubby. Had 2 margaritas, good strength and flavor. Shared a tremendous salad with a ginger balsamic dressing. I didn't taste much ginger but still delicious. Main courses were veal cutlet parm with penne and the lamb chop special - three very large rib chops cooked the way I asked, and that came with broccoli rabe and roasted potatoes. Lamb chops had some marrow in the bone (YUM) and a mustard pistachio crust. Veal parm was wonderful and the flavors brought me back to my past when a good VCP was my favorite dish. Everything was absolutely delicious; the place is immaculate and pretty and the service was perfection. Prices are up there but reasonable for portion size and flavor. I waited until I went to this restaurant a couple of times before posting my review because consistency is more important than a first impression. My first impression would tell you the place is beautifully and meticulously decorated for a good dining ambiance. The consistency I was happy to see is: The staff is super attentive and their service is nothing short of welcoming. The owner overlooking the operation and making sure everyone is happy is a nice touch. The food is outstanding in the few times I had gone. From salads, pizza, pasta, chicken and seafood no one in my party has ever had a meal they did not like. This has quickly become a favorite restaurant amongst my family and friends whom I've dined with. Came in for a late dinner. There was only one table being served at the time. Water and a basket of warm bread with a bowl of tomato tapas came soon after we sat. I ordered the love martini and my partner ordered some kind of chocolate coffee martini (idr the name). Mine was cute, light, sweet flavor. His was creamy and big coffee flavor. The waitress told us all the specials of the day by memory without breaking a sweat. I asked if they had any gluten free pasta because it's not on the menu. They had penne so I ordered the Bolognese. He ordered the chicken noodle soup special, meatball Parm appetizer, and the margherita pie. The meatball Parm and soup came out first. The meatball Parm comes with three meatballs. I wasn't a huge fan but he liked it. The soup came in a big bowl. The noodles were short thin and straight. There were pieces of potatoes, chicken, and spinach in it. He really enjoyed it. My gluten free penne Bolognese came in the same big bowl as the soup. I could only eat half. Sometimes restaurants over cook gluten free pasta but they didnt. I enjoyed the meat sauce. The margherita pie is good enough one but Max two. It was a thin crust pizza. He liked it. They have a small list of desserts but we couldn't fit anymore food. The waitress checked on us multiple times throughout our meal. My few complaints is there's no parking lot and street parking fills up fast. The restaurant was cold. This fairly new spot is amazing for lunch or dinner. Their food has a very authentic and homemade feel to it and does not disappoint. Waiters and waitresses are friendly and make you feel like guests in their home which probably comes from the fact that it has a small homey feel to it. Amazing date spot. Went here with my boyfriend just to try a new Italian place near us, and everything we got was delicious. For appetizers we got the meatballs and the burrata salad. The meatballs had cheese inside and tasted so fresh, and the red sauce was immaculate. The burrata was also so fresh. I could have eaten a whole plate of it by myself. For the entire we got penne alla vodka and the picante pizza. Again, both tasted so fresh. The vodka was the perfect amount of creamy but not heavy. The pizza was thin and light. Great sauce. 10/10 would come here again. Definitely underrated. Additionally, the music and vibes were great. The facilities were updated and modern. And the serve was fast and attentive. I went here for my birthday dinner based on reviews and I was so disappointed. I ordered the chicken martini and the chicken was chewy. As well as tasted like more cheese then chicken. My friend got the chicken parmigiana and it was pure oil. Literally, it had more oil then sauce. I went there on a Saturday night for an early dinner, they seemed pretty organized, with some large tables reserved and a few empty tables. The place is nice, cozy but casual and clean, comfortable and somewhat chic. The menu us quite small but hits the right places. I only wanted some mussels in white wine sauce and pasta, my son had a lasagna, it's an interesting one, very cheesy and soft but good. He's very picky but ge finished it all. Their bread is great with the house sauce. Guests were very nice as well, families went and parties enjoyed their food. We tried the lava cake for dessert. Bravo! Their staff were polite, they tried their best to be attentive but they were busy, we didn't need much but we got everything we needed. Will go back again for other menu items. read more

We shared the octopus appetizer because they were out of the beef carpaccio. I thought it was good but my husband thought it was undercooked. My veal millenese was delicious and a generous portion. My husband didn't enjoy his dish as much as I enjoyed mine. We had a bottle of red wine and dessert drinks, all of which were good. However my husband ordered an espresso that never came. This restaurant is amazing. We reserved a table for nine people. As we arrived the table was all ready and marked reserved. The look of the restaurant is fresh and new. We were quickly offered menus and drink orders taken. We are a chatty group and weren't rushed to order. The waiter explained that as well as the menu, there were specials. So many specials. It was hard to make a decision. We started with some delicious appetizers. Fried calamari, meatballs, a pizza and angry shrimp(amazing). We also had a fresh cheese board. Some of our chosen meals were chicken parm, pasta with sweet and spicy sausage and a huge rack of veal. One of our group is Gluten sensitive and was able to get chicken vegetoli. It was fresh vegetables on top of grilled chicken. After we finished dinner, we had awesome desserts. Try the Limoncello cake or the cheese cake. The Cappuccino was great. I highly recommend this place for a simple meal for 2 or a group as large as ours. The owner/chef made sure he came out to greet us. We walked in at 12:30 were given lunch menus but billed dinner prices we couldn't figure out why it was so high. The service was extremely slow and when we got the check the credit card surcharge was already on the bill he never questioned how we intended to pay, he did remove the charge. The wait staff were on their toes, attentive, funny, and kind and gave great recommendations. Their food was DELICIOUS (and I'm a food snob). We did a few plates. We had the cheese and meat appetizer, which was delicious. the broccoli Rabe and sausage were cooked to absolute perfection and full of flavor with delicious garlic pieces. The calamari was tender, juicy fried, and delicious. The sauces were full of flavor and marinated to perfection. The salads were fresh, crisp, and dressing tasted homemade. Their martinis were FIRE. Cold crisp. Def try the pistachio martini. Desserts were a delicious ending to the meal. Their ambiance was chill, perfect date night lighting. Music was soft and pleasant. With every corner having an Italian restaurant all along Hylan Blvd,I came across this place and am very very happy I did. My wife and I had the cheeseboard for appetizer which was a great assortment to start the meal. I had the homemade mushroom and spinach ravioli and my wife had the prosciutto pizza and we split both entrees. Literally both dishes were amazing. It is where Paco Taco use to be across from Brunos. We had two apps: spinach/artichoke dip with tortilla chips (both home made) and their formaggi board (imported cheeses and meats), with fig jam, honey, and olives. Absolutely delicious. Entrees were squid ink pasta w/seafood, grilled calamari w/tomatoes and a balsamic glaze, and chicken vegetoli (thin cutlet with vegetables), sauteed in butter & brandy sauce. One of the best dinners we've had. Everything was fresh and tasty. Not overdone or masked. The seafood was so good. Desserts were tartufo, apple strudel, and pistachio ricotta cake. The chef came out as we were paying and asked how our meal was. Nice wine menu as well. Highly recommend!!!! We thanked them for a terrific dinner. Got there for early dinner (4PM), and it was nice to see tables filling up after 5PM. It's nice to see local restaurants succeed after the wave of recent closures. What a horrible experience. Went to check out this new place on a Saturday night for dinner. Started out with the restaurant not having our reservations that I made the day before. We overlooked it as we got a table right away. Appetizers and drinks were good. I ordered sword fish that was on a special. My fish came in burnt instead of grilled. I tried to eat it, had 2 bites and wanted to take it home but I just could not get rid of a disgusting burnt taste in my mouth and had to send the fish back. Few minutes later some man comes storming out of the back to our table. He comes to out table looking so mad and not even saying hello or introducing himself, he attacks us saying, what's the problem? My husband said, wow, who are you? He says I'm somebody, who are you. I could not believe my ears that this was how we were treated publicly in a restaurant. The man ended up telling us that he's the owner and blamed me for eating half the fish before sending it back. I literally took 2 bites and really wanted to like it but I could not and should not be eating a burnt meal. The man continued to yell at us and eventually walked away. The restaurant was packed and everyone stopped and were looking at the argument. No matter what happens, the owner or chef can come up to the table, say hello, introduce themselves and ask what was the issue with the fish. After the man left, a lady came up to us and sort of tried to make peace however continued to be rude, supposedly without realizing how rude she was. Truly a horrible experience. And what a shame of these owners to treat their customers like this. Words cannot describe what a horrible experience this was. If you want to be treated with respect, take your money and appetite elsewhere, this is certainly not the business you would want to support. read more
