The worst experience ever. We called to let them know we were coming. They were closing in 30 Minutes and let us know a few times. We came to look at a few toy haulers. They had all the lights off outside. They treated us like we couldn't afford anything. They didn't want to turn the lights on the vehicles and wanted us to use their flashlights . We used our cellphone flashlights too. As we were mid way looking at one they said okay we'll you can call us tomorrow because we're closing . They weren't willing to stay a few minutes after closing . We drove almost an hour to get there and got kicked out after 10 minutes. Thoroughly disgusted with their customer service. My husband and I bought a new Crossroads Sunset RV and picked it up yesterday, June 30th. Our experience thus far has been good with various departments. . One of the most remarkable experiences we had was with Max, who did our final walk through. Max was so pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly. What I enjoyed the most was he stayed with us from start to finish. He walked us through the demo of the unit, answered all our questions, walked us thru the accessories department and wanted to make sure we had what we needed. He took "ownership" and gave us one of the most plesant experiences at Manteca RV. We started our experience with Zach, but 10 mins in he had another customer and left us. We came back after going to Best RV. We were at the final stage of comparison when we met Chris. My suggestion is to work with finance first before making a commitement. We got a quote, but then as usual that changed and the promised interest rate changed. It was still at the monthly payment we wanted, but at a different interest rate. I'm big on expectations, so if you set expectations, then change them makes me cautious. Jesse in Finance was helpful and answered our questions and got back to us quickly. The final walk thru with finance was good and her attention to detail caught some errors and made sure to correct them. Appreciate her letting us know. As a Customer Service Manager for 30 years for Fortune 500 companies and various sectors, I appreciate the young lady who found out we had (4) separate accounts in the service and parts dept. One was under the wrong person's account?? So our purchase was put under another customers account. WHAT?! The floor still needs to be fixed, due to a tear in the linoleum. Expect minimal courtesy from the sales department and incompetence from the service department. They guarantee the trailers for two years, but good luck getting work done. Example: sold me a brand new trailer with a broken bathtub. Had to drop it off for service before they would order the new tub. Then they forgot to order the tub until I rattled their cages 3 weeks later! That blew the summer camping season. Example: brought the trailer in because the stereo stopped working several months before the warranty expired. They said they'd order a new one and call me. Still waiting for the call 7 months later. Went here to replace a vent cover for my RV. The nice lady at the front door took my temperature and gave me a little hand sanitizer and directed me to the vent covers. No problem there. Was looking at the different vent cover and an associate helped me pick out the correct hinge type. No problem there. Was standing in line to purchase the vent cover and another associate tells me I can't buy it. I asked why. He replied because the cashiers (standing behind the counter plexiglass masked up) won't check me out because of Covid. I asked him if they are selling anything in the store that is obviously open. He said just RV's. I then tossed the cover back on a shelf and walked out of the store. The associated that didn't want to sell me the part I needed chased me into the parking lot and said they would sell it to me. Too late. Not going to go there for parts, service or new RV again. I guess Covid has them to scared to take my money. Very strange experience. It does make perfect Covid sense........which is it doesn't. ‍ read more

My daughter purchased a 2006 Salem 26' trailer from Manteca last weekend and we are both extremely pleased with the service from sales, business office, and service. Very professional at every stage of the transaction and the reason we went to a dealer and not through a private sale. Best of all was the service department which my daughter called the Team of Grandpas. They made sure that the trailer was safe in every way before letting my daughter leave the lot including replacing a fuse on her truck. They stayed with her and made sure everything was functioning properly. Their cheerful attitudes were especially significant since we were there until closing time. The service department made the price we paid for the trailer worth every penny. Manteca Trailer gives me the comfort to send my daughter on the road with a safe vehicle. After doing some research on different trailers, my husband and I decided to take a look at a few that were on the lot at Manteca Trailer. Our sales associate, Sam, did a phenomenal job at listening to what we were looking for and helping us stay within our budget. He showed us a variety of trailers and helped us find the perfect one. Sam worked hard to ensure we got everything we needed to be successful trailer owners. His customer service, communication skills, and knowledge of the trailers made it so easy to find the perfect trailer. If you are in need of a trailer, Sam is your guy! We give him 5+ stars! On the other hand, the service department is TERRIBLE. Poor communication, not responsive at all, and rude. After only having our trailer for less than a month, and one camping trip in, there were problems that needed to be corrected. The flooring had large gaps and soft spots, there was a leak in one of the pipes, the shower panel was coming off, and the bench seat around the kitchen table snapped in half. Not a problem, we new it was still under warranty and could be repaired. It has been over 2 months and they still have our trailer. I am not saying these issues need to be fixed ASAP, as I know they have other trailers to work on as well. However, there needs to be some communication so we are aware what to expect and what is happening, or call back when we are told we will be getting a call back. It has been an extremely frustrating and long process and we still do not have the answers as to what the problems are and when we can expect our trailer back. Service department gets (1 star) Overall, the saving grace in our entire experience so far is Sam. He has gone above and beyond to help us and still does! When someone buys a trailer they are generally excited. It's a luxury item so a person is ready to spend lots of money. We had been looking for about a year and finally decided to pull the trigger. We originally went in to look at some of the used trailers. However they had a new one that was substantially marked down making it an attractive deal. We slept on the decision, went back, and decided to purchase the new trailer. They wanted to sell us a 700.00 brake controller, 500 hitch, and a 500.00 package that included a trailer wash (they don't wash it unless you purchase this package) a battery, full propane tanks, and an hour walk around. We opted not to buy then$500 package. They advised it that it was state law they install the battery. Had they been able to get the financing we wanted day one we would have purchased the brake controller and hitch but we needed to wait until Monday to get the deal we wanted. Long story short, we ended up buying a hitch on Amazon for 200, a brake controller for 40 bucks and there is not law that they install the battery. In short, before you buy do your homework. This business earned the two star rating because it is underhanded and sneaky to tell a consumer that something is a law when it is not. read more

You can get the warranty, the extended warranty, the paint protection and a million other things but as soon as you need anything you can't get anyone on the phone, you can't get a call back, bring your trailer in for a simple fix and it is promised in a few days and here I sit over a month later and my issues hadn't even been diagnosed yet. The scary thing is this is the 4th time I have taken it in for the same issue with all the same horrible communication, 1-2 month wait times once they have my trailer, promises of fast turn around and free wash and no follow through with the promises. Call manager after manager and even the manager of the whole company with no call backs. How can any business take 10 plus calls in 5 weeks and not return a single one? This place is crap, they are great salesmen but once you have signed on the dotted line..... all that customer care gets shifted to the next "big fish". read more

Supposedly this has new management and service is supposed to be much better, it's not. I dropped my trailer off for a repair on my leaky water tank and was informed of a $140 inspection fee. Since the trailer had never been serviced at a shop I thought it would be a good idea to have them give it a good look. About a week later I get a call stating that they can repair the tank so no materials would be needed, but it's a $1200 job. I inform the service manager (Nathan) that he's high and that the tank is held in with six screws. He calls back a few minutes later and says they can do the job for $950 to which I respond nay and I'll pick up the trailer. They estimated the job at 8.5 hours I called a few other rv repair shops and ultimately got a quote for 3 hours at a place in town. I pick up the trailer and was greeted by another guy (I didn't catch his name) he grabbed my paperwork and reminded me of the $140 fee. I requested the inspection paperwork, it didn't exist. Ultimately it was $140 to have some "trailer tech" to tell me what I already knew, the tank leaks and needs repair.. I told the man thati got a quote for three hours labor at another shop on town and was scoffed at rudely. I paid the ransom and walked out the door They brought my trailer around front and dumped it by the exit. Nobody helped me hitch it up so I spent 10 minutes lining up the hitch and ball before I left. I'm actually shopping for another trailer but I'll never give these people another dollar read more

WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING This will be my final review of Manteca RV & Trailer in that I will not be honoring this business again. The experience they put me through over a two day period was absolutely the most unprofessional manner I have ever been treated. Took my Jayco Eagle 5th wheel which I purchased from Manteca RV in 2008 in to have the front landing gear repaired in that the original set's motor burned out. Service writer "Dave" talked me into a larger 6000 lb set for better and faster operation. He told me that the legs would be double the speed of the original legs that came with the trailer. I trusted his recommendation and authorized a $1,890.00 repair job. After 3 weeks, I went to pick up the trailer and was shocked that they installed the new jack motor where it was jammed up against my LP tanks. Physics would say, metal vibrating on metal would make it unsafe for my family to travel. Dave said that it would be ok. In addition, the legs would not work. He said it must be the low battery power. They had it sitting for 3 weeks with the battery connected. It would only work with my truck plugged in. We left the facility and just happened to meet up with Manteca Fire Engine 241 who had the Fire Marshal on board. He inspected the work and advised it is a major safety hazard. I returned and spoke to Service Manager Ken who I must say did what he could to help me. I left the trailer and drove the hour ride home. I returned the next day to find that the mechanic did NOT fix the issue with my LP tank rubbing against the leg motor. Ken also made a statement that the loss of power to the legs was the fuse blowing due to low battery power. So I have to have a bag full of fuses for every time the battery goes down in power? So there I waited for over 3 hours for them to fix the problem. I was then advised that the mechanic who installed the legs did not realize the unit has two 25 amp circuit breakers and he hooked it up to a 30 amp wire with a fuse. They had to rewire the entire landing gear system. I finally got tired of waiting and left the facility to go walk around Target and never received a telephone call my trailer was finished. I returned and saw it sitting out front. I walked into the service center and my writer did not even know the trailer was done. I tried this new motor that Dave said would be twice as fast as my previous one in raising and lowing my trailer. The motor although it appears will handle a pretty heavy load barely moves and according to Bulldog Manufactory, it raises 9" per minute. Again, the service writer was not educated on this product. It is exactly if not slower than my original motor. They finally relocate my LP tank tray far enough away to avoid the motor box and rewired the power legs. Manteca RV did the exact same thing to me back in 2009 where it took them 4 return trips to repair a wiring problem. This not only caused me so much stressed but gallons and gallons of fuel. They have way too many RVs to repair and very un-experienced mechanics. They allowed me to drive off their lot with an UNSAFE trailer per the Fire Department. I really recommend that if you have any repairs done at this facility, take advantage of your local Fire Department and have them inspect it if it involves gas or gas lines on your rig. I HIGHLY do not recommend anyone trusting the service department or their mechanics to fix your RV at Manteca RV. Unfortunately they lost a very active RVer in Northern California read more

I was in Manteca trailer sales around the first of November. Talked to Bob in sales,looked at a couple class c's and class A Sea breeze. I noticed a 1998 Flair class A next to the sea breeze. Bob (nice guy) said there was a issue with the paper work and it was not for sale and may never be. A few days later it's shows up on Craig's list. So I call to see if it was for sale.The person on the phone checks with sales and it is. Today I drive 65 miles to look at this coach,Surprise it's Not for sale but still posted on Craig's list. Is this false advertisement or just a come on to get you on the lot. I won't go back to this RV dealer. read more

Have dealt with Manteca trailer over the last year. We purchased and RV from their sister store, RVs of Sacramento. We dealt with the service department at manteca, because they were closer to our home. The service department did a reasonable job. They were friendly and did their best. But communication was poor. I had to repeatedly contact them to get responses. But at least they tried. Some of these repairs took 6 weeks (due to parts delays from the trailer maker). If this were the only interaction I'd had with them I would have given them 3 stars. Then, last fall we decided to sell our RV through Manteca on consignment. The process of putting the unit up for sale through them was relatively painless. After we left the unit there we basically never would have heard from them again. They didn't communicate any information to us. Any time I wanted an update I had to call and usually I had to call a few times before I got through to the consignment sales man. However after 9 months the unit still hadn't sold. So we decided to take the unit back and use it ourselves. This is where Mantica's rating dropped from 3 stars to 1. They hadn't taken care of the trailer at all! There was dried poop in the sewer dump valve. Parts had been intentionally taken off our consigned trailer by their own service techs! Picking up the unit turned from a quick drop by and get it to a 4 hour ordeal as we looked over the trailer to see what they'd done to it. -Cabinet doors had fallen off and been left laying around the trailer. -Door trim had fallen off and was laying by the bed -Manteca's repairman had removed the main electrical outlet with the GFI for the trailer from the bathroom and left an open hole in the wall with the electrical wires hanging out. (I stil have no idea why they would do this) -The remote access module attached to the outside of the unit appears to have fallen off and they just claim it's a hazard of this type of unit. (a 200-300 dollar part) -THEY LOST MY KEYS I had to have the entire trailer re-keyed so I could get keys made for it. If I had come to their lot to buy an RV and seen it in that condition, I wouldn't have bought it either. No wonder it didn't sell. I would advise anyone looking to consign a trailer with Manteca Trailer to look elsewhere. Quite frankly they have lost my business for good. read more

The sales guy said that he could not give much for our trade because R-Vision is out of business and not worth anything. They kept insisting that we finance the new RV even though we wanted to pay cash for it. While waiting for the sales man to return my ID my wife overheard the salesman's boss saying that SOB is nuts. I originally was not going to post a Yelp rating. However, after our recent experience, I have changed my mind. They are unwilling to substantively negotiate pricing, not happy with repeated visits while trying to decide and were even caught by my wife making unkind gestures to us. Promised follow up calls or e-mail never occur until THEY need/want to move something. Go to Manteca if you want to buy an RV and are ok to paying the posted price of something slightly lower. They ARE NOT the low priced leader in the valley(that is a dealership a half hour to the south). Go to Manteca RV if you do not know what you want and want to look at lots of different trailers and floor plans. Once you are ready to buy, there is a dealer to the north in French Camp on I-5 who will play "Let's make a Deal" and a dealership to the south in Turlock who's got prices so low you almost don't feel the need to negotiate. As I was told "Manteca RV sells over 100 units per month". I guess that is why they do not need to deal. I bought my trailer from the RV dealership on I-5 in French Camp. Why? The owner of Pan Pacific himself, took the time to talk to us, was fair in his dealings and has followed up with all his promises. read more

We finally got our RV back after 8 weeks and it was still not completed. I did get them to agree in writing to send someone to our house to complete the work when we get back from our trip. When we got back from our trip the service was finally completed as promised. Otherwise it was the same old story we have experienced from the beginning. This seems to be acceptable company culture for them. It doesn't matter who I talk to there they all act like everything is fine when it's not, and they all try to put the blame on someone else. Called on Sat. 9/26 about my ( less than 1 yr old Jayco power awning that was repaired 6-8 mo. ago by Manteca Rv ) about it not closing for a pre check weekend trip. I was told to check fuses and if that's not the problem to secure it to bring into them?? How do you secure a awning not rolled in for 15 mi.? Called about 6 pm and person on their side was not very business worthy w/ customer relations. My trailer is a 2012 Jayco 33ft bought new last year and had many problems since! Only used I time. Just bought a 2011 38' Keystone Alpine 3450RL..Our salespeople were Pete and Mike Tangle. Negotiated the price on the phone and overall the experience was good. Our trade in didn't work when we got down there due to water damage to our previous trailer but I get it and we sold it the next day for more than we were going to get on the trade in anyway..One more issue was the detail job..we had fecal matter backed up in the Black cleanout after the detailing that supposedly took place and when we got out on our intitial 3 day highly controlled camping trip, our grey valve for sure and maybe our black cleanout valves aren't working which imo the dealership should've tested. When you're out at a camping site and washing your dishes and the grey water is leaking out into campground you'll understand IT AIN'T COOL. On the bright side, Mike Tangle is a real solid dude and has followed up with me a couple times and even took my calls inadvertently on his day off when the trade in issue occurred. I own a company that deals with folks in the financial markets and look for the kind of character I would hire for my team. Mike's one of those guys. Overall, I know I got a fair deal on the camper and now comes the BIG TEST THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT (which in most RV places is terrible).. If all goes ok, I'll probably move the stars up or down accordingly read more

If I could give this dealership 0 stars I would. my husband and I went to look at rvs for a few months before we bought our trailer. We bought our trailer 2 years and 1 week ago. We have had many problem with our trailer. Before we even took it home there was a bunch of stuff we listed, when buying it and thought it would be fixed by pick up. They then told us that we have to take it home and bring it back for most of the repairs. Our bed was broke, shower was falling apart, stove hood was bent, bathroom door was popped out on the top from being warped, table had a chip, and much more. The dealership fixed the bed, and shower and replaced our table. We were told they were fine with my door to the bathroom. Well I'm not fine with my bathroom room warped after spending $30,000. The bed they half fast fixed and shower broke again just pulling 1 time both broke again. Our trailer has been moved to a permanent place and has not moved since we bought it. We were sold an extended warranty they told us that it included a travel repair person, but maybe they forgot to include that was not for people in California. We called to cancel this warranty with no luck. Also they dont like to return calls or emails. if you are asking why we bought this trailer with so many things that needed to be fixed? Well we were lead to believe it would all be fixed. We also while making the decision to buy this model we spent our time in a different trailer checking everything, then when I make a comment wishing it had a door the sale person said he load the same trailer with a door for the bedroom. So we picked the trailer with the door. Now that we have had our trailer for 2 years our fridge just stopped working, bunkbed broke you can see the light come through the trailer, the door for our bedroom is now falling down, all of our lights are flickering or not working in the living area, in our room the wall seems to me buckling in two places, heater is also not working, and more. Also now we have to pull our trailer from a permanent spot for them to look at our fridge to see if it's under warranty and if not we will be on the hook for paying all labor fees. when we decided to purchase our trailer the sales man told us how much stronger this trailer was compared to other brands and he jumped really hard in the shower to show us for strong it was built. I would say this is one of the worst places to buy from. Their customer service is horrible and gets worse after you buy. read more

Never use Manteca trailer service department EVER. My husband and I went to buy a 5th wheel trailer. We searched far and wide for a used 5 Th wheel. We fell in love with a 5 Th. wheel at Manteca Trailer it was on consignment. The sales staff was fantastic to work with. The 1st snag we hit was that the trailer was miss priced to low and we were told we could not have a 10 year loan. Sales man said the trailer was to old for that long of a loan boo that meant our payments were at the top of our budget. Ok so we settled that got the papers signed papers on 5/26/2018 yada yada. We got a better interest rate with our credit union so we went with them. We also ordered the 5 Th. wheel hitch with installation. The original one they ordered was not the correct one before the order was sent in. My husband marched over to the parts department to let them know that he needed a different fifth wheel hitch. He was there about an hour going over the part that were needed to do the correct job. The parts manager said they would order the part and could be installed the next weekend. We get a call saying we canceled your appointment. The trailer has an issue!!! We did not request a cancellation we would like to still get the hitch installed so it's ready when you fix the Leaf spring hangers. The person informed us that the appointment was given away already. We proceeded to let them know we were still going to come in for installation and our walk through and sign final papers. We went out to the bay where the truck was getting worked on just as the kid says this is a pain in the ass. My husband informed him he skipped step one two and three of installation. We suggested that he watch the video on you tube it might make for easer install. These are trained services technicians that should know how to do their job. NOPE. Cut the holes wrong in back of our new truck. Got a call to pick up the truck and the lady said the first part of installation is done. WHAT 1 st part it should be completed it's been there for four hours. WELL the parts did not all come in. why well we did not order them correctly! WHAT MY HUSBAND WAS THERE FOR AN HOUR IN PARTS TO GET THE CORRECT PARTS AND TOU STILL ORDERED THE WRONG STUFF. It will take time to get them in. So we left my husband now totally fed up checks the. Torque on the bolts that hold the turnover ball. They did not even tighten them. Wow this is what holds the trailer on to the truck. Great work right. We take the truck in mid week so the good guy can fix the mess and finish the install. Cool done right lol NOPE. WE STILL DON'T HAVE THE TRAILER LEEF SPRING HANGERS. WE WRER TOLD 7-10 business days well today is the day no call. I called service left my name and # for a call back no call I went down there to check status got told it could take three weeks now what WHETE ARE MY PARTS! The service has terrible communication skills with the customer. We always have to make the first move to find out what's going on. Then get lied to every time. I will never do business with this place ever again. Get your shit together Manteca RV. Oh yeah we still don't have the 5th wheel it's 6 days away from 30 days we already made the first payment and no trailer fun we have missed days at work and camping trips to take care of this mess. read more

I purchased a 2016 Jayco RV from another dealer, but Manteca is the closest Jayco dealer in the area for service. I called them the beginning of December, the first thing they asked did I purchase from this dealership, I told them no and I was told the earliest date is January 6th (a whole month for service, that is crazy). I explained the issues on the phone. I brought my RV in for service on 1/6/18, all of the items were covered under the Jayco warranty. They contacted me on 1/23/18 and told me they fixed all items with the exception of the two items they needed from Jayco (counter top which delaminated and the radio that stopped accepting Bluetooth connection). It seems that it took about two weeks just to fix the leak in the shower (caulking at the wall/valves) and reattach the vinyl flooring lifted due to the water leaking (way to long). It took another six weeks to get the counter and radio installed. When I picked it up I noticed it was dirty inside, I did not say anything but I was just glad to get it back. The shower had footprints on the floor, I have not checked the shower to see if it still leaks. The sink counter was installed correctly, but have not check if the plumbing is leaking. The real problem is the radio; the replacement radio was an exact match to the original radio. The Bluetooth connected up to my phone quickly and the sound was great. I drove home and all was well until I backed the RV into my drive way, once I put it into reverse the backup camera did not come on and once I put it into drive the camera screen went black, I put it in reverse again and the camera mode went off and the screen went back to the radio mode. Manteca should have disconnected the old radio and reconnected the new radio, but since there was not wiring harness in the box it seems they rewired the radio. I called them this morning and they told me the backup camera was working, well that is strange that it would stop working in a 30-minute drive to my home. Another issue I scraped the roof on a tree and damaged my roof, I was verbally quoted $475.00 to repair the roof, then last week I received an invoice for $617.00, so I called my service rep and he then told me the verbal quote only included labor and the materials was the difference and he would adjust it down to $550.00. I requested that I take the RV to a professional radio installer and they would pay for this, they have denied my request. While I was waiting for the RV I saw two other customers who accused the service department of lying about them fixing their RVs. I normally do not leave bad reviews but this time I felt was necessary and warn other about this place. Original rating was one star! Last Saturday they finally made my RV right, but it was like pulling teeth. Revised to two stars! read more

Horrible!! Do NOT deal with these LIARS. I was interested in purchasing a used RV but they refused to entertain any offer but the listed price. (According to NADA guide they were asking more than average retail.) They treated me as if they didn't need my business. I asked why they wouldnt budge on price when the unit has been sitting on their lot for over 1.5 months and the salesman told me "we are the largest dealer in the West coast, we aren't worried about it." So 1.5 weeks later I go on their website and the price has been reduced by 5 THOUSAND DOLLARS!! And a week later, it is down another 5 thousand!! that's 10 THOUSAND they knocked off the original price. But they wouldn't even budge a dollar when I asked. What a way to do business!! On my way to Yosemite my trailer brake lights went out. Called them from the road and they said come on in, we can look at it. 1.5 hours later, and a re-wiring job, all was complete for a fair price. 2 hours later I was in a pouring rainstorm in El Portal, glad they got them fixed. My wife and I have a propane regulation valve on our Jayco trailer we purchased from Manteca Trailer and Camper that was recalled from the manufacture.. It's a safety issue. I have contacted the manufacture. They have told me twice that parts for replacement have been sent to the dealership. We have not heard not one word from Manteca Trailer and Camper on the status of or replacement part.. we are going into our 5th month since receiving our notice. I'm sure Manteca Trailer and Camper don't like seeing bad reviews. But yet they don't seem to care about following up with issues after the sale. We got your money. Now we don't care! If you read other reviews I believe you can see others have some of the same issues with this business. Here's one thing that's for sure. If anything happens that causes injury to my family because of this safety issue that is not being addressed. There will be an lawsuit filed against Manteca Trailer and Camper for failing to take care of this SAFETY issue. We were happy with our purchase up to this point. I strongly recommend that you take your business else where. After the sale of your unit that no longer care. Think we may dump this trailer. Do a little research. And purchase another trailer from a business that places appreciation and value to their customers. Oh, and one other thing. Stay away from Jayco. They are junk! Zero stars! I bought a $97000 motor home from these idiots and they would not even give me a ride home, and I live in Manteca. The vehicle was in their shop for warranty work for the first month I had it, they said it was fixed (automatic stairs). I went to pick it up after a month and it didn't work.
